"Master Arejuvan," a tall person dressed in a long grey cloak spoke silently when he entered the square room, kneeling down. "I bring you the message from the New White Order." The room wasn´t big, actually, it was rather small considering the importance of its role. It was the place where Hvevot Erdri members used to meet and discuss the actions of the guild - and, most importantly, where their leader resided. It had a shape of a cube, with most of its floor covered by a single large, persian-like, mostly reddish carpet. There were simple, heavy wooden pews standing around its walls, places where the members of the guild used to sit during the councils. Each of the the walls on the right and left of the entering person were decorated by a couple of crossed swords infront of a shield. Aside of those, the most remarkable features of the room was a huge circular chandellier hanging in its centre... and the emblem of the guild, HE and a cross on the wall straight infront of the person. For some reason, there were no windows in the room - actually, there were only one door leading into it, and this one faced the leader of Hvevot Erdri, sitting on a pile of pillows with his legs crossed, covered under his long white robes. "Thank you, Kalen. I have been waiting for this. What did they say?" the mysterious leader asked. "I am sorry... they won´t join our cause. Their leader said, that-" The man stopped in the middle of his sentence as the leader of Hvevot Erdri raised his hand. "We do not have time for that. We must act - and we need their help. Please, go seek their leader again, him and several of his closest in the organisation, and tell them to follow you. Bring them here. I need to talk to them personally." "Yes, master." It took several hours before Kalen returned. And this time, he wasn´t alone. It could be heard way before anybody entered the door. "I warn you! If this is a trap, it is you who will be stained by the blood of people seeking peace!" "I ensure you, no matter what you think about our organisation, we are not murderers," Kalen said calmly. "You are not?! Can´t you see? Your guild kills people, and you say that- ...oh." The man, white mage in simple brown robes finally noticed the room they entered. And the person watching him from its other end. "Sometimes, it is necessary to use violence, Mergan," the leader of Hvevot Erdri spoke by a calm, serious voice. "I hope you know... you know that you are murdering people!" the white mage continued. A silent chuckle from under the hood. "I won´t deny that. We indeed do so. But only those who ignore our warnings and continue in their evil deeds towards others meet such fate, Mergan. We cannot fight against violence only by watching it happen." "How do you even know my name?! I don´t believe we ever met!" "Kalen, would you leave me, Mergan and his friends alone for a moment, please?" the leader asked. "Yes, master." "Oh please! Could you at least answer my question??" The leader of Hvevot Erdri silently watched the member of his guild leaving the room. After that, he raised his hands towards his hood. "That´s what I intend to do, right now," he said as he pushed the cloth away from his face. No one aside of the white mages ever came to know what happened next. The fact is that after their meeting with the leader of the guild, known between the members of Hvevot Erdri as Master Arejuvan, the New White Order agreed to assist Hvevot Erdri in its missions. -to be continued- |
