"Yes, sir!" It didn´t take more than a few seconds for the youngster to nod and disappear in the night. It would be a calm, winter night if it wasn´t for the constant sound of alarm horns...

"All alone, huh? Why don´t you just give up and die..." the slain mage continued. "Just try and run, they are coming for you!" It was clear that the creature enjoyed its un-touchability, the simple fact the warrior couldn´t do anything to him, while getting on his nerves.

But he wasn´t lying. Something, a shadow, flew above Firrah in the night sky. It was difficult to recognise what it could be, but the sound it made rather surely pointed towards the fact it wasn´t a mere bird or a bat.

A short flash of sharp, bright light from somewhere behind him, from the west where he sent Nive. It had to be some spell, either cast by the young boy talented in white magic - or one of their pursuers. Either way, it lighted the sky for long enough for Firrah to recognise what was in the air above the city.

Griffins.

It could be possibly five, or maybe more, of them. They were searching for them, guards, but mostly mages of the Dark Order, spying from the air on their flying mounts. Luckily for Firrah, the night acted as a great advantage for him. And the place from where the flash of light came from for sure caught their attention.

Maybe.

It was just a few minutes after when he heard a familiar voice somewhere above him shouting a spell.

"Ledo venere!"

A direct hit into the roof Firrah was on. Pieces of wood flew to sides as the nether rammed into it and girders inside the structure cracked. The roof collapsed into the house.

Trying to drum out the annoying voice in his ears, continuing to run, his heart thundering in his ears. His muscles were getting warm with all the running. Feeling and seeing a shadow coming over him, Firrah skids to a halt and looks up.

"What in the hells?"

When the light exploded, his eyes that were adjusted to the darkness, seered with pain as the roof collapsed beneath his feet. He flailed about as bits of wood and rock smashed into him. Blashing the air from his lungs.

Laying on the ground with the rubble on top of him, panting and coughing. Groaning in pain, trying to push blocks and wooden beams off him.

"Damn it all!" Firrah coughed loudly, trying to push a heavier piece of rabble off him. His leg was damaged, blood was oozing off.

As Firrah soon realised, he wasn´t alone. Two persons started to climb out of the rubble. The house was inhabited, of course, and it was hard to guess how many people could´ve been inside before the spell hit it. A soft sound of feathers, a griffin landing somewhere nearby.

"Get out of here. Now. The Dark Order, by the will of the Emperor, commands you to leave." The feminine voice had its impact on the survivors, the persons quickly left the place. Even if it was freezing, they didn´t even look for warmer clothes. They knew that if a Dark Order mage was present, there was no time to play around.

"Very, very well. Look who we have here?" she walked into Firrah´s sight. It was Allegia, looking down on the wounded warrior with wand in her hand, circling around. "I heard about that you were going for a holiday somewhere? And rather hastily, leaving us so soon... you know, you should stay at least until the sunrise and tell you friends..." she aimed the point of her wand into his face, "...goodbye?"

Looking up at Allegia than at his leg, he cracked his neck side to side. Holding his right hand up wanting to say something while his left hand, which was by his leg started to scoop up a handful of dirt, this probably wasn't going to work but he had to try. He wasn't going to let a mage defeat him. To the hells with that!

"Aren't you going to ask if I have any last words?"

Grinning at the crushing of his leg, fighting against it his twisted smile distorted into a animalistic roar, throwing the dirt at the face of the mage and reefing his leg out from under the rubble, feeling all the jagged parts tear at his flesh. Pain washed over his mind, but he kept roaring wanting to beat the pain so he could survive.

She did but smirk on his request. "Last words? Who would care about last words of an old, worn down- agh!"

The moment the dirt hit her eyes, she shrieked. She might be undead being. It did still hurt her and she still needed eyes to see. She tried to rub it out, but by the move, she lost her aim, and a curse intended to kill the warrior only harmlessly hit a wall.

"Curse you! Just wait until I-" she kicked infront of her, where she remembered Firrah´s face.

((okay... seriously, wow. I wouldn´t think of that what you just did, not at all!))

Tearing his leg free and with the horrible pain shooting through every fibre of his body. He finally escaped the rubble but didn't anticipate the kick that came for his face. Instinct came over him, throwing himself back, his hands reaching for a length of wood.

Feeling confident that he did find something useful in the rubble, he swung the piece of wood hard for the mages knee.

"Ugh-..." she was just done with her attempt to focus back on where her opponent precisely was when the hit by the wood came. She let out a loud cry. A loud crack sounded when she fell on the ground.

"How... dare... you..." she aimed back on him, her hand shaking. One wouldn´t truly guess she could before he could see it, but she was crying. "Rix!"

The spell unarmed Firrah, it threw the piece of the wood out of his hand forcefully. But... it wasn´t the only thing it did. The armour he stole back at the Traitor´s Watch might´ve been cracked by the killing curse and not working precisely as it was supposed to, but it still had it effect.

Part of the magic energy fired back and Allegia´s wand flew away into the rubble.

"Why-yyyy..." she cried, collapsing into a sit and curling up.

Limping and smiling with satisfaction his hand grasped the wooden plank firmly laughing softly then when she said how dare you. Firrah said back simply.

"Quite easily."

Jumping back because of the sheer force, the plank of wood flew out of his hand. Collapsing to the ground groaning in pain about his knee, the same knee from a long time ago. Slowly getting up and picking up a large piece of stone rubble firmly in his hands. The added weight made his knee hurt even more, wavering his stance.

"Why? Because I can!"

Getting closer the weeping mage, Firrah drew his arms back, aiming for the head with the big piece of chunky rock and bringing it down with all his strength.

She didn´t fight back, actually she didn´t even lift a finger. After the hit by stone, all that was left infront of Firrah was an empty body, a destroyed ´shell´ that could no longer support the dark mage´s life. Her spirit was gone. Much likely to the so called ´anchor´ artifact of her master.

If the alarm horns wouldn´t still be blowing, silence would spread around Firrah now. But the hunt was still on. A flash of light, again, cut through the night, somewhere from afar. The griffins were still up on the sky. Whole Capital was awake and on feet, ready to catch the rebels.

Firrah spat at the ground and started limping towards the direction young Nive was at, Firrah couldn't run any futher without causing more damage to his leg, keeping to the ground and trying to find most alley ways and darkest routes to get to where the young boy was.

Drawing an axe for security reasons he slowly made his way to wall, casting a watchful eye everywhere, coming to a suitable building his put his axe back into his belt and started to climb up the wall, using window sills and loose bricks as hand and foot holds for his ascent.
