((redirected from Temsu´s tavern))

It was already dark when she got here, the only bigger source of light being the moon. The place was half-rebuilt, it was really being prepared to be a park in the centre of the Academy... but it was hard to plant anything in here during the winter. Not that it would be snowing, this year´s the winter has been rather mild, but still...

"Still thinking the city is lost?" he remarked when he stepped out of shadows of the Academy walls towards her. "The Rats themselves helped a lot with this place, especially cleaning the rubble. Still, there´s much left to do..." he nodded toward the missing quater of the Academy which was destroyed when the Crystal was moved out of the city. One could still see a huge corridor leading through whole Aiekara and outside its walls.

"From what I know no one should be here by now, so we can talk openly..." he added and lifted his hood just a little he could look on her by grey eyes.

Denise looked around the half-rebuilt place before hearing Ri's voice.
A small smile crept on her face upon hearing it she liked him, for sure but he was a freelancer of body, work, and most likely love to.

"At least one part of the city is still alive and intact" She sayed with a small smile pointing towards him.
"Not sure if its lost, more.. occupied the people did not notice much, except for well the hole in the middle here"

She moved some closer towards Ri resuming where she left off.

"How have you been, underground hero of Aiekara? I’ve heard of your deeds or is it not a time for stories?"
A small grin appeared on her face when telling this.
Even tho nobody really called him anything like that, denise was sure ri did not mind being called like that.
She could be herself around him, a girl flirty, nice, but just her. In this whole city perhaps the only place she could be her was with him.

"Well, I guess you know whose work that ´hole´ is..." he remarked. "I´ve heard they want to repair only the outer walls so far, the rest of it will come in time."

"Oh... underground hero you say?" he chuckled silently. "You know I have some debts to repay here. And towards you too, I guess."

"There could be times for stories, but not sure if they wouldn´t bore the girl here... oh well. Maybe in a moment, I need to tell you something important at first, before I forget.

We have been watching one of the thief guilds in Aiekara that has lost its leader during the siege. It has been becoming very agressive towards others lately, and we know that there will be a fight today´s night, probably a very bloody one. They will attack Children of the Night, a saphyne guild that has many members in the slums."
He paused to take a deeper breath.

"I ask and warn you at the same time, do not get involved into that fight."

(("slums" stand between Aiekara walls and the banks of Aona, they were burnt down during the siege but are getting rebuilt by poor lately. I can upload a map to help you orient in it once I have it drawn...))

“Of course they only want to, they want to prevent the increased theft caused by the slums, but at the same time waste no more money here then needed and bring it all back to their empire of course.. in time probably means till someone buys that destroyed ground, or part of it and wants to repair it himself”

She gave a small shrug when he mentioned having to pay her back something “I don’t think you do, you remember shopping for things back in Tiak? And I plundered your treasure chest some when you told me I could”

With a small giggle she then listened to what he sayed more and raised a eyebrow

“Why not interfere? Seeing it involved saphyne the chance of dark mages of Teimzurr getting involved is highly likely, there might even be some of them which we have our eyes set upon.. And, if we help the Saphyne guild we might gain a ally, those little furries get everywhere now-a-days”

"Oh well... it´s simple. The saphyne leader Nikka denied to cooperate with us and rejected our help even after they told him about what is going to happen. That´s the main reason," he looked around calmly, just to see if no one unwanted is around. "I am not sure if you heard about it, but the guild leader wants to unite the thief guilds in Aiekara. I should not be telling you, but from what I know and what I got together on my own in my mind, he aims to create an ´underground´ army to get Aiekara out of Teimzurr´s hands - and possible go against the Empire even further. But Nikka laughed at him, saying that the saphynes don´t need anyone to help them, and that they are happy in the Empire. Because of the ´protection laws´ covering them in here, as you probably know." He paused.

"It´s like... letting them get what they wanted," he added. "I don´t like it either, but that´s how the things are. A little cold and brutal, but true. Either way... there will be a few of us watching the situation. We hope that the leader of Flameblades will show him- or herself during the attack, so we can finally realise what are we facing and find out the truth."

He smiled, going through her words in his memory. "It´s funny. You maybe don´t realise that, but you said what many of us think," he lowered his voice: "that Flameblades are now somehow connected with the Dark Order."

"But we are getting away from the other reason why I asked you to go here," he said openly again. "We got a request from the regent for a kind of... special mission. And we have no other men... or well, women, too... to spare."

Denise frowned “And you or the guild never realized that instead of just waiting out to see the result, we could also seize this moment to show them they need us as ally? We could wait out abit, if the flameblades are part of the Dark order they’ll show subtle hints of that”

She moved abit when hearing the regent

“I do own the regent something, afterall he helped you get to your current state, but I suppose that could wait, I’m sure the leader whont mind if I join the people and watch the fight, there might be a summoner there. And if they get killed there might be one looking for a new more friendly leader “

He listened to her objections calmly, he was used to getting critized. In the end, he also acted as a messenger for Hvevot Erdri, meaning that it was probably him who heard rejections from the saphyne guild leader...

"You know... if you remember what I said," he smiled, "....that´s precisely what we are going to do. Watch - and see. If the fight gets too wild or we see another reason to act, we will. The onnly thing if-" he stopped.

"Do you want to say you´re going to participate in that thing?" he asked with a sign of worry in his voice. "I mean... Flameblades are quite dangerous. And Saphynes, no matter how they look, are too. If you want to go there... oh well. I am going there too. Just promise me you won´t do a single thing until we get a signal to. Agreed?" He turned a little aside, taking a step to slowly go.

"Oh, the regent," he sighed. "Sure, it can wait a day or two, I don´t guess Arvith would get that far during those few hours. He´s walking on foot, at least according to what regent Lionir said.

Well... anything else before we go?"

A small smile moved across her face

"Your worried your special girl might get hurt? i can handle myself most of the time, and you might need trauma, you know except for just making people mentally unstable he can also tell me what visions he saw thus revealing things the leader of the flameblades does not want to tell"

She gave ri a small nudge "And after all i got this strong handsome guy to protect me now don't i?"

with a small wink and giggle she then started walking towards the slums
