The village council gathered again. For the tenth time in this week, minimally. And again... it was clear who sent the request for all the eldars be gathered. Tenaku, or the "Troublesome Shaman" as the locals started calling her. The chief of the tribe was sitting in the sand in the middle of the day, frowning all around. And everyone else from the council seemed to have similar mood. It was just like the bad an annoyed mood about the hyperactivity of their shaman would be radiating from the whole place. Finally, she came. With her younger sister walking aside her, as usual. The smaller girl seemed to be understanding how much the council was pissed off, the older didn´t. She walked proud, not bowing her sight before anyone. "I am glad that everyone is here," she said when she stopped on the edge of the circle of eldars. "Let´s make it short, Tenaku! This is enough!" the chief stood up against her and shouted. "Your family was always full of talended shamans, but-" "Good point, chief. I have to pass a vision," she interrupted him in the middle of sentence. A wave of annoyed whispering ran through the crowd gathered around. It was unbelievable - to speak while their chief is speaking! She coughed to request silence. "Good poin, chief!" In the end, she had to raise her voice to be heard because of the eldars and villagers. "I know this is quite repetitive and it´s getting annoying, but I have to-" "Shut up, stupid! I have enough of these meaningless meetings with you! Your father and mother were the best shamans we could have, but WHAT are YOU?!" This time, he was seriously angry. And it was clear that this will not end well if the shaman will resist the word of her chief... "Their daugher, if you haven´t noticed!" She shouted back. The chief took a spear in his hand. "You should rather tell me - who are YOU! I have been warned numerous times from the gods themselves, and tried to warn you as well! If not because the steel men moving on the west, then for our world´s sake! I know it sounds unbelievable, but she-" she pushed her little sister a bit forward. She hoped to have a witness in her. "It IS unbelievable! Not only that you are disturbing the whole vilage with you instanity since your parents died - but you came that far that you called the Great Meeting-" with every sentence, he was yelling louder. And the shaman did the same thing back. "Can I remember you WHY they died?! Because of YOU decided to lead a STUPID war against that CURSED village for NO reason!!" She held her sister closer to her. This was getting nasty. Far more than she thought. "Do you guestion my leadership, shaman?! Do YOU- no - I don´t care if you do! Because now, you no - longer - belong - to - Kranig!" This was underhanded. She couldn´t do anything against that. Unless the eldars would oppose the chief... but instead of that, she saw them nodding. This was the time she would hit that idiot infront of her by full force. It was a mixture of anger, shock and betrayal. "I will-" "Go! Go elsewhere, where they will need such a crappy shaman! Leave us be - and don´t return, dropout!" he pointed away. Surely and without any emotion than anger in his face. She had that many ways how to hit him in mind... by she did nothing. Just one last sight on these ones who casted her away. She turned around without a word. She knew he would use it against her again, anyway... She started to walk away. Away from that stupid village. Away from those stupid people. Away from that... everything was stupid! Everything! Even her cursed feelings. Those, too. |
