A familiar growl escaped from Vector's middle section at that particular moment. "You see Charmy... if we don't get some decent food... we are all gonna die!" He said, letting go of the bee for the moment. "Espio is right..." He said, folding his hands and bowing his head a little as if he were praying. "Let us all thank Knuckles for his gracious five dollar donation to our food fund that is feeding us this day... and lets hope he never finds out that the five dollars ever went missing," He said. And before so much as an 'amen' he dove his fork into the noodles and started packing it away. |

Espio would let Vector finish what he was saying before beginning to eat as well, once retieving the fork from the floor and cleaning it up of course. He had a fair bit more table manners then the other two. He didn't slurp and he didn't vacumm food up. Even so, he did eat quickly and likely didn't finish more then ten seconds behind the other two. Once the meal was behind them, Espio would stand and hold his fist out over the table, waiting for the other two to join him. No one in this house found dishes a favoriable task and they always disagreed on who should do them. They had tried schedules before, but it never seemed to work out. So, they'd finally come up with a method to try and help make sure they didn't stack up. After every meal, they did a game of rock-paper-scissors. The loser had to clean up from it. If the symbol that beat their's was chosen by another, they were knocked out of the game; the only acception to this rule is if all of them did a different symbol because all three would be knocked out at the same time. Once two losers were determined out of the group, they would do a game between themselves and the loser of that game had to wash the dishes. |

Charmy was doubtful as he again considered Vector's claim of the priority of their shared assignment, which took all of two seconds. "If you say so... But I want to do some real investigating for the next one!" Unwilling to be swayed from this proclamation, he returned to finishing his portion of the meal, the noodles occupying his attention for the next few minutes. When he then noticed Espio's outstretched arm shortly after he had finished, Charmy flung his fork aside with disregard for whoever might have to pick it up on the game's results. He flew higher to generally match the others' heights and reached out his own fist in imitation of Espio, waiting for Vector to do the same. "Get up!" he urged him impatiently, darting back and forth as he appeared unable to stick to one place to hover. If Vector wasn't fast enough to join them, the bee very well might just throw their established method out the window and fly off before they could stop him. |

The croc's eyes looked up from his noodles, half of them still hanging from the front of his muzzle. Dishes time... he put his fist forward, standing up somberly, still with noodles hanging out. He swung his fist once.... swung his fist twice... swung his fist thrice... BAM... "scissors!" he cried out making the appropriate sign. Trusty scissors, never failed him! ((short!)) |

As Charmy rose up further in the air to join the chameleon in preparation for the game, Espio's other unused hand would snap out. With one quick grab the fork was caught in midair and put back on the table. This avoided extra effort for the unfortunate loser of the coming game; and a fork laying on the floor, stuck in a wall, or flung out a window at the same time as breaking it. They didn't need to worry about property damage as well while they worked. Even if it was a revamped house boat. As the game started, Espio would swing his fist at the same time as the other two and make his pick for the symbol. Almost never would be a better way for Vector to put it. Almost, because as Espio swung his fist for the third time and chose his sign, his fist would remained closed. He chose rock, which by the rules bested Vectors choice. Unless Charmy picked the third symbol and caused a restart with the game, he lost. With his quick reflexes from training and observant eye, one had to wonder if Espio didn't have an edge over his fellow chaotix members in this game. After all, he hardly ever lost. But if he was using his training to his advantage in this game to decide who got to scrub, it wasn't likely it was a conscious effort. Else he would likely never lose. |

Not noticing or really caring about Espio's concern that their place of living remain intact and well-kept, Charmy finally went briefly still as all three of them prepared to put forth their chosen symbol. But only briefly. As soon as the other two moved, he swung around to wave his own arm. "Rock rock rock!!" he shouted at the same time as Vector, shaking his fist. Seeing Vector's choice he laughed, shooting around him and Espio in unrestrained patterns through the air. "Rock smashes scissors! Vector's the loooser!" he called, coming to a stop by grabbing onto the back of Vector's head. "Hey, can I do something else before we go food shopping? What if I sneak into that GUN building?!" He still wanted to at least try for a more entertaining mission, even though he had given in to do the other assignment. |

Stupid scissors! They never worked! Vector clapped his hand over his eyes in defeat, but eventually resigned to picking up the forks and taking the rice cooker over to the sink to do battle with the mess. Luckily it was still reasonably warm so a quick rinse and some suds and the job was done. Upon hearing Charmy's suggestion, his eyes shifted over to look at Espio, wondering if it was a good idea to send the bee to get some preliminary work done before getting the equipment. "Uhm... well we can drive past on the way to the Super Saver Mart... might as well do some outside snooping while Espy gets the camera gear up to snuff," he said, trying to appease the bee as well as his appetite. |

As Vector began the task of the dishes, Espio would begin to work as well. This would start with the chameleon retrieving a small notepad and pen from one o their many bags. With pen in hand, he would start doing a quick but through check over their equipment and supplies. This was so he knew what he needed to get and how much of the money he would need to take. Once a few rounded up totals were created in his head, he would stroll back over to the box. As he counted out the money needed from the funds they had been given by their employer, he would hear the suggestion given out by Vector. "I don't think it could hurt. But this isn't a crime ring or anything like we've dealt with in the past. I think we're going to have to apply a lot more caution then usual. So, I'd say if you do decide to stop and look, keep a respectable distance so they can't tell that's what your doing." By the time he'd finished inputting his two cents about the idea Vector had presented, Espio would turn toward his weapon filled back and lift it from the out of the way spot he'd left it. After carefully folding the bills he'd taken twice along with the list, they would be tucked away into it. The last thing he would before speaking again would be to shoulder it and look back. "I'm going to go on ahead." Espio seemed as serious as ever. Whether it be a simple supply trip or an espionage mission, the chameleon always took his work with the utmost stern attitude and now was no acceptation. If his teammates had no disagreement with his exit, he would begin to head toward the door. He was likely planning to walk as he typically did; he never seemed to mind it and he was actually rather fast on his feet so he could get around with a general ease. |

As soon as Vector had given him his permission, Charmy left him to linger near the door, pumping a fist in the air. "Alright!! We'll solve this case so fast, you won't believe it! Just watch, I'll find out everything we need to know!" If he had heard Espio's cautionary words, he gave no sign of it. "Hey, Vector, let's go! We need to go on, too!" He turned briefly to glance back in his direction, slightly annoyed that he was not right with him. Espio was already leaving to go about his part, so they needed to do the same! Not waiting for Vector to catch up with him any longer than he felt he should, Charmy looped around to dash out of the boat house to begin with the information-seeking he was so enthusiastic to begin. |

By the time Vector was done drying his hands, the boat home was already deserted. "Hey wait for me!" He yelled out the door, grabbing a hold of his favorite set of headphones and his music player, pocketing what was left of the money, and began to charge out after that busy bee after locking the door behind.
