Tonight (August 19th) I will not be at practice due to my grandson's 14th birthday party at my house. Cake and screaming teens with waterballoons - woohoo! |

I've been thinking of taking your post from the LotRO music forums, clipping it, adding a little and sending it to Warden. How's that sound? Hopefully he can get an announcement up within the next week. |

Hehe..I sent you a PM before I saw this post. I've sent off the Word Document for the announcement to Warden. It may take some time before he gets it up on the Fat Lute's announcements, but I asked if he could please put it up for about two weeks. |

I really wish I could attend on Tuesday nights, but I have a standing commitment for those evenings... this Tuesday 9/16 especially: I will be cooking for up to 60 homeless and poor for a "Dinner and a Movie" night =) Have fun! And please feel free to try out my songs from the Test Area, critique them... "Come Blend Your Soul" now has 3 parts and is need of some 'speed' adjustments that I don't yet know how to do... the transition points at the end of the first 3/4 time part and the middle 2/4 part should slow, the middle part should be a little faster in tempo, and the final measure should slow down and hold longer... if you play it I think you'll see what I mean. I couldn't figure out how to make Anvil Studio slow down or speed up a portion of the music so you could hear it in the midi file.

Tuesdays was picked as the night most didn't have a previous game commitment like Kin Rifting, Book nights, etc. But that was a while back and alot of those folks don't seem to come any more. Definately can be flexible if folks can agree on an alternate night, but we'll need to decide quickly. I sent Warden info on music nights to post on thefatlute.com some time ago and we would need to come up with an alternate night as soon as possible, so I can get corrected info to him before he posts the announcement about Tuesday Music Nights. Diamond, if you could post what nights are best for you, we can take this discussion up on Tuesday. For me, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays aren't possible due to kin commitments. |

Please don't change your meeting times for my sake! Because I live in Oregon, my prime meeting time cuts into what should be an easterner's bedtime! I used to be gone all day working a job, but I retired from that kind of work and now am doing 'Urban Missionary' work which is very unpredictable... meetings here and there, needs we find out about a few days (or even hours) beforehand... it's almost an 'on-call' existence. I find I am most available in the morning and late afternoon... not conducive to mass meetings online  According to Keptwise's post above, the only other weeknight he's available is another weekly commitment for me which takes my whole evening.... so if you tried to accommodate me, you'd not accommodate him My kinship and alliance activities are almost always Friday and Saturday evenings leaving the midday Saturday pretty open. Other than that I have one day which might be more convenient for all concerned: Sundays 1:30 - 3:30 Pacific (4:30 - 6:30 Eastern) or 7:30 - whenever Pacific (10:30 Eastern)... well, "convenient" for Easterners if you don't have to work Monday morning  [edited because I got confused about converting Pacific time to Eastern time ]But, I am content to casually meet with one or two of the group to play songs, test files, and just relax at the end of the day. Plus I have introduced another of my kin who came back from an extended absence from the game (the one who wrote the beautiful Canon in D solo, Bach Air on G String, and Carol of the Bells solo files) to this website, so you may be having him join as well

Thursdays are good for me same with Sunday, but I am retired so I have a very flexible schedule (and I also live in Oregon ). Maybe same with others. Lets check tonight at the session. Yeah we really need to get this changed (or not) if we want to make sure Warden gets the right information.

I just got in a really bad car accident yesterday afternoon so if I am not online much for a few days its because I hurt every muscle in my body and I have a black, blue and red wide strap mark where the seat belt held me in the car. The airbags deployed like they were supposed to, thankfully. My wife was taken to the hospital from the crash site because she was very disoriented but she is ok, and so am I. We could have easily been killed and we both feel very fortunate! My car is totaled but it saved our lives. My dog Maia was in the back seat and was sore but unhurt as well. The other cars driver injured her arm - I tried to swerve to avoid t-boning her vehicle (otherwise I think she and her two passengers may have been killed). We all met at the hospital and discussed the incident. The other driver was sited at the scene. She pulled out in front of us from a side road while we were going about 55 mph. It was a wild ride doing doughnuts over about 100 feet then into a very steep ditch sideways. Our groceries were all over the ditch and road! People showed up from everywhere, the car was smoking and a truckdriver sprayed the engine with something. I tell ya, it's amazing how powerful these wrecks can be! My adrenaline is still pumping and I only slept 2 hours or so because I was unable to find a comfortable position! See you all soon and don't mind my babbling... Maka |

Yep, a bit of a slow start, but we got out to Bree and MD......stayed up waaay too late again. Great fun as always though. And didn't see a good "off topic" place to post this but wanted to share this. looks like someone in a Japanese Cell Company has been playing LotRO music and got an idea. My gaming computer is having problems (I'm on my Mac right now). Long story short - it's in the shop, possibly getting a new mother board, and until it gets fixed I am gameless! This means I have to speak to my wife and do all those things I put off because well... I was doing something terribly important in game. Here is to a cleaner house, windows to see out of, horses brushed, car washed, dishes done and groceries bought! Maybe more writing and a little TV watching. I will know something by Tuesday but if I need a new mother board it may be awhile longer, beyond music session night. Update Tuesday night: I still don't know anything about what's wrong. On standby - but I have a feeling I will be lucky to get it back this week. I still haven't cleaned my windows yet. Will have to get to that tomorrow if it's not raining. I am sure everyone will want to know that the barn is clean, the horses know who I am, the scrap heap is hauled to the junkyard, the house is fairly clean too. If I don't watch out my wife will be sabotaging my computer on a regular basis. Update Wednesday afternoon: Well it's an hour and a half before music session begins and I have my computer back. It took a change in CPUs. It might work and it might not so if I poof out suddenly you will know it didn't work. Otherwise I will be at music session tonight! Woohoo! HI everyone. I wanted to thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Mom passed 4am Thursday the 22dn and Her funeral was Wednesday the 28th. I am terribly sad and have spent most of my time crying or sleeping. But I think getting back to my friends will be good for me. I'll be on sometime Saturday, May just do some crafting but at least try to get my life pieces back together. If anyone sees me on and wants to practice I'm game I have downloaded all the music up to 4 parts I think will be getting the rest over the next few days and also the new ones as well I'll work from the last and back from there. Let me know if there are any certain ones you want me to have for [ractice. ALSO I went to a couple sites and they didn't have a link like you do here just the write up I have the lomm installed but dont know how to get those onto the song book blah blah LOL HUGS Rosy |

Rosy, I am very sorry for your circumstances and the loss of your mother. Time, good memories and being with friends over the tough parts will help but we all go through our grieving in our own way. If I can be of help in some way let me know. Playing songs and keeping yourself busy will certainly help and we will all be here for you. As for LOMM, any songs you have in your music folder in your Lord of the Rings Online file will show up in the program as a list. You still have to put the abc files in your music folder. As for just the written abc files, many abc files cannot be used in LOTRO. If you have some favorites you want to try we can help you get them playable and you will soon be doing it all on your own. I suggest first putting in a post for each song you like and pasting the written files in the post. We can check to see if they will play. On your own you will need to copy and paste each abc file into notepad and save it in your music folder as an abc file (rather than text). ((Hugs for you)) Maka |

high winds seem to be playing havoc with our wireless broadband from a nearby water tower. Kio is in Fanwater practicing but I hope this clears up otherwise I will get kicked out every other song! |

I will not be at rehearsal on Wednesday but will be hard at work with some abc files nonetheless. I'll be away from a gaming computer. I may be composing abc files on paper, in fact. I'll look forward to rejoining in about 10 days. I did get Tiriadoc to level 25 and got him some bagpipes so I could test my new parts on ButWeDo. |

*sigh* Yeah for once I was early, hoping to get the duos and trios out of the way and no game. I went and took a nap for an hour and made myself get up to check again. Poor Turbine having to try to find this problem while we wait twiddling our thumbs. Well at least I think I have my microphone fixed as I was waiting I fooled with it again and I am crossing my fingers. |
