A program by Digero. Play your songs out of game to check if they play right. I realized this link was not easy to find so put it here. ABC Player |

This update has been out for awhile now. I've been using it for a long time. |

Something changed recently because about a week ago or so I stopped being able to use it, got an error that said something about "unable to stream soundbank" as if the version I had was looking for something that was no longer there. I think it gets information from the website and streams this to each user, or something like that... anyway I had to to update it. |

Did you recently update your Java? That's what the new version was supposed to fix. |

I'm loving this! I can hear some of the songs that I've missed played in concerts for one thing, but I can see it being very handy for trying different instruments out for parts, let alone trying songs out if you're not able to test with a group. |

It is a great tool, but it isn't a substitute for in game testing. the player is not great with volume dynamics, and doesn't always catch some of the quirkier things. We have had a few songs even recently that played very well in ABC player but in game the clarinet or drum part would be out of sync and play long after all the other instruments have finished. |

Aye, I can see that, and really did mean more "before you're able to test with a group". Really do appreciate that it replicates the instrument sounds from in-game. |

I went and did a search for the missing .dll file and was able to download a copy of it. I stuck it in the folder that ABCPlayer is in, and that seem to fix the problem. Should I start another post in the song section and put a copy of the .dll file for others to download? |
