All parts needed some adjustment near the end, and the drum needed some tweaks throughout, following the test on 4/14/10. The whole thing is 185 measures long, over 8 minutes. I played trombone on this in a fine arts camp in high school. Sorry, Catfish...going to have to ask you to post the single files for testing. If you can get them up before tonight, I'll add it to the test list. |

Feel free to have us run a test at GHMS as well--we've had 9 folks last 2 weeks and should again this coming week. |

Completely and totally up to Catfish. EMS has a rule that Multi-files are fine, so long as you post single file files 1st. |

Single files and their commands are up. /ready to test on Tuesday the 30th. I plan to post a Test2 or Test3 or Test4 series of files for the next EMS night that we have testing--I'm guessing that will be the first Wednesday in April and that March 31st will be a video night. |

Nope, it's just the odd "5th" week we'll have from time to time for EMS, that I'll take bandleader duties for. EMS's next Video Wednesday will be the 4th week of April.

I have done more testing and tweaking and need to repost these parts. I'm going to put it back with EMS under More Testing Needed till I can get the new parts posted in a manageable state. Hopefully I'll have it ready by 3/31. |

If you think it'll be ready by 5PM EDT Tuesday, we could still fit it into the GHMS test that night. |

The test 1 of measures 40-95 went well, but we left out harp and flute. test2 files had some issues; I'll have to break that one up to diagnose them. Back to More Testing Needed for now. |

Mars is ready for a full test. Test files have been removed, so you can delete everything you've got that starts with HolstMars and re-download the files in the original post. The drum part is written for testing with the whole on 4/14/10. If GHMS wants to give it a run-through without me, that's fine too, just send me feedback notes. In particular the flute part hasn't been tested, but I'm not too worried (famous last words) because I've proofread it and don't see any problems. [Edited to say the Drum part is done and posted. - Tiri] Edited by Tirigifu, Apr 9 2010, 07:38 PM.

All parts have been replaced, including the multifile, as of 4/15/10. Please delete all files that start with HolstMars and replace them with these. You'll be able to tell you have the right one if you see v. 3 in the header. This is ready for testing on 4/21/10. |

Mars is finally done. I'll wait till it has had one public performance before moving it to 7-part songs or more. I was trying to think of good places to make a video of a performance of this. Maybe Thorin's Hall?

Hold the phone--I wrote a program this week that counts up note durations in my Word files to help me make sure I put the right durations on notes and it found some mistakes in a couple of the Mars parts we *didn't* test on Wednesday. I'll put corrected files up tonight. |

Delete and redownload all one-file-per-part parts, which are all in the original post in this thread. Edited 5/27/10 to make headers conform to EMS standards. I left the multifile alone because they're not often used in EMS; the music parts in the multifile are intact/up-to-date/correct.

I replaced the multifile on the second page in this thread with version 4, which doesn't have the lute part error and should be playable in both game and ABC Player. I'll replace the single-part files to make them conform later today.

Just downloaded the multifile to get exact timing for our set tomorrow, and it pops up a "note duration too short" error for ABC Player, but when I tell it to ignore lotro specific errors, it played. Not sure if that's really an error or not: line 65, column 41: Note's duration is too short Near the end of the Drum section, right after a +mf+ it's the first G in the GGGG bit. |

In most web browsers, if you go to the topmost post in this thread and right-click the attachment you want to download and choose Save As or Save Target As, it will prompt you for a file name and location. You need to save it in a folder called Music inside your The Lord of the Rings Online folder (you may have to manually create the Music folder if one doesn't exist yet). |
