Completely agree with that quote. I've always firmly believed that experiences are the important bits in life, not possessions. Knowledge fits in with experiences in my book. I dunno about Spain. My neighbor is from Spain and he had his nephews and niece spend the summer this past season and... they were cunts. Completely spoiled. I don't think I'd WANT to learn slang from them, it's prolly just slang for things like cocaine, vanilla sex and the Jonas Brothers. |

-nodnod- ...I'm a packrat. XDD As much as I admire and revere that kind of living, I'd be lugging around my library along with all my various knick-knacks, bricabrac. My various assortment of keys. My toys. My dog. Her toys. I'll take your word for it. o____o I dunno about you, but if I ever make it to Europe, I'm aiming for Ireland and then digging in my heels. I LOVE Ireland~ it's quite charming. The weather is delicious [yes, delicious] and the people are quite jolly. I love the inns- they always have squeaky beds so they know when you're having sex. ^__^ [Don't be fooled: my vast CD and vinyl collection [in its orange crate carrier] will be touring the world alongside me. Can't live without my music.] |

You've been to Ireland?! Oh, you bastard, you rock. D: Totally agree with you there, dude. XD The true problem with life is that there's no background music. |

Unless you're like me and the music's always playing in your head. I get in trouble in classes for singing. I don't even realise I'm doing it until someone smacks me. Apparently it's annoying or something... Yes, I've been to a few different countries. I'll be going to Japan for the first time this summer. I'm so looking forward to it. Can't wait. |

That's why it's minimally better when you hit the right notes. XD I get caught doing the same thing, but random people at restaurants will tell me I sing purty. :B I gotta admit, most of what I start humming comes from a musical. My friends tell me I make an awesome impression of a gay man. XD Good gods, that's frickin' awesome. =D I'm jealous, man, hands down, you're gonna have so much fuuuun... and so, this learning Japanese: is it for the trip, or the trip is a consequential bonus because of learning Japanese? :3 I'm assuming the latter. |

Indeed. Musicals are quite enjoyable in general. Example: I bought a ticket to see Avenue Q in March. What? You say it's not a musical? Well it's a play. Set to music. 'Tis a musical. ;D The latter. 5+ years have been spent learning Japanese, and I taught it to sophomores and juniors [and a senior~!] one year. Altho years work funny for me- they're actually semesters, so they're smooshed into half years 'cause we're on the block schejule. So my Sensei is taking me to Japan with her this summer 'cause I'm cool. B) No really, it's a trip she hosts for all upper level students every two years, and I can finally afford it this year, so I'm goin'. |

I'm /really/ late, but.... Hi. Have a welcoming waffle. -Toss- =D Anyway. '____' I know minor Spanish. Really, really minor Spanish.... I wanted to learn French when I was lil, but that didn't happen. I wanted to learn Japanese after this, but I only ever picked up stuff from my friends.... and I don't know how to write it. xD; Damn. What's the word for goodbye/see you later? It's Je something, I think.... My one friend used to say it all the time irl.... |

Also a nickname of mine, Waffle. x3 Granted, my friends and cousins have been through an entire regimen of breakfast food nicknames. I was Bacon for a while when I did a vegetarian stint. xD I've heard that the only two words you need to know in spanish are: bano and cerbeza. >XDD OH!! I know which word you're talking about and my mind is completely blanking out. Hopefully, Hunni can enlighten when he shows up... x3 |
