Hi Mocha, I'm back again I have a couple of pencil skirts that I tried to convert that turned out like this: ![]() I'm guessing this means that the outfit I want to convert is too long (and not wide enough) for the mesh? Is there a way to shorten/alter the conversion outfit to fit the mesh or a tutorial that you may know of on the subject?

you have to shorten and widen the alpha of the conversion alpha and you may have to widen the skirt texture. work on the alpha first. it's an easy fix if you paste it on top of a rio alpha with a skirt that's the correct length/width. instead of selecting just the shoes, select the whole bottom half of the conversion outfit and delete it. as long as the shape of the shirt remains in tact it's fine. refresh in body shop to see if it's fixed. if not, you'll have to widen the texture of the skirt too. you can use a paint brush tool (in paint shop pro it's called the "push" tool) to pull the color from the skirt over on the sides a little. |

Mocha!!!![]() First of all, i'm play testing some pajama conversions for booty cutie in my game. Secondly, there is one particular sim that IS IN LOVE WITH THIS BODY SHAPE... I don't even have ACR either.. Anywho, is it because i'm using the nude mesh that the girl looks like she has the deepest wedgie ever in life..? Is there a way to get her shirt/shorts out of her butt crack? LMAOThats like, the only mesh I have besides that one short dress.... ![]()

i'm not surprised that armand LOVE LOVE LOVES that body shape. that seems right up his alley. CA-UTE conversion! ![]() that is exactly why it looks like that. dayum... that crack is HELLA deep! i wasn't planning on redoing the nude/sexy feet meshes since MIA already has them. no sense in reinventing the wheel and totally redoing her entire set. that would be kinda foul. i can live with it for pj's/underwear... i guess. but for the nude clothing mesh i'm working on - i've removed the ridiculously deep butt crack too.

Okay well i'm going to wait to see what you come up with before I try any conversions, although I suppose the nude mesh would be okay with like regular undies/swimwear and just maybe not the outfit I was trying to convert

if you're impatient you can go ahead and make whatever outfits you want. you can always use the textures to put them on my meshes, when i'm finished, if you prefer them. i should have the first mesh that i posted in the coming soon thread up by tonight or tomorrow. i need to add fat morphs too, which MIA's meshes don't have. sorry i'm moving so slow, i'm still new at this. but at the rate i'm going, i should be able to start whipping these meshes out in a matter of hours soon.

yes ma'am. we need skintones desperately. i was thinking of trying my hand at it myself, but i have so many projects going on. i'm going to tackle it one day because i have a wish list for darker skin tones that i've yet to find anywhere. i'd love skintones that: don't look ashy or have those weird shiny highlights, doesn't change the sims features, doesn't look too feminine on male sims, lips that actually match the skintone and don't look like lipstick, knees that don't look dirty, etc., etc... it sucks that no one around the community can be bothered to put any real time or effort into making really good skintones for dark sims. enayla has ok skins, but i'm not crazy about the highlights on the really dark skins.we need to start a creator's forum or thread. where we can all discuss stuff we're working on and get tips/tricks from each other. |

Hi Mocha... I have a bunch of outfits that I've tried to convert where the top half of the outfit shows up on the mesh but the bottom half is white...The alpha and texture files look like this: ![]() I tried merging the two alpha files from this conversion outfit together but the result was disastrous (and I didn't take a pic). Can you tell me if there's a fix for this? Thanks again!

sorry, i'm just seeing this dani. i tend to view the board from the home page for new posts instead of the index. this is not a normal conversion. the outfit was mapped so that the bottom and top have separate texture files. you would have to combine the colored texture files AND the alpha files for this to work on a conversion. combining the two alpha images is easy. all you have to do is make sure the alpha is wide enough (from top to bottom) on the front and back sections to cover the body shape. the texture files will require a little more work, because you want the final outfit to have clean separation lines between the shirt and skirt. from the pics you provided it looks like the top goes over the pants, so it would be the same premise as pasting the conversion outfit over the bodyshape outfit and cutting away the shoes. paste the shirt texture image (as a separate layer) over the skirts texture image. working with the shirt layer, select everything except the shirt and delete it. that should make the skirt layer below appear. you'll probably have to clean up the edges where the shirt meets the skirt.what photo editor are you working with? if you have photo shop i really can't get in depth, because i don't know how to use it. i use paint shop pro. |

No worries, thank you so much Mocha! Aaaargh, it seems like all of my favorite outfits in my dl folder are made this way...I see...I only merged the alpha files and didn't clean up the edges, which is probably why it came out so awful......I use gimp and paint.net.... |

you have to merge the alpha and colored texture files - not just the alpha. if you post a pic of the finished outfit i'll be able to see what went wrong to better help you. you should be able to work it out with gimp. unfortunately, i don't know how to use it. to edit textures or create clothing recolors from scratch you're going to need moderate-advanced knowledge of working with your photo editor. you need to be comfortable working with layers, selection tools, and the different brushes because sometimes cutting and pasting pieces together as well as a little hand drawing/blending may be necessary.
