Of course with me, the fact that I'm a nelly coward and afraid of comments comes in to play. B-)
If I can do it, you can do it too! ;)

Anyway, yes of course I will share - I'd be very happy to! :$

As I say, I need to sort out some of the CC (and I may not be able to upload a version containing the attic beams, unless I can find an alternative - those in the pics are partly some that I cobbled together myself just for the purposes of taking these pics, using someone else's mesh, and they were the very first object I attempted to edit in Milkshape, so they aren't properly UV-mapped; plus I'm not sure I would have permission to share them anyway :-/ ).

I'll get on the case as soon as I get time alone with my TS2 computer (a rare thing these days).

Eeek, no, I have no plans to abandon my beloved TS2! I just don't get much time to sit down at my computer these days (hubby gets grouchy if I spend too much time on my own at my desk), so usually I just do stuff on my laptop, which is too pathetic to actually run the game! :P

Thanks for your lovely comments, Bonnafide and Raheem! :D

Something a bit more up to date from me: another contest entry (I came second this time :P ), from a couple of months back over at GoS.

The contest was called 'Room With a View', and basically you had to choose one room in an empty lot (provided by the contest host) to decorate, along with the garden outside the room.

I decided to do the bathroom and garden of an abandoned Victorian villa - oh, and this is why I needed that newspaper to put on the floor that I was asking about a while ago ;) :

And here's the front of the house, to put it into context (we were just given the basic shell of the house, to which I added doors, windows, roof and porches, and which I also decorated):

I missed this too and I don't know how either :wow: FRAN! I love that garden and the house itself, the bathroom is very well done, not too big with the basic essentials. Love the colors too!

Thank you, ladies! Not quite urban style I know, but I was pleased with how it turned out. ^_^

it most certainly could be urban. there are abandoned private houses with overrun gardens in urban settings. :P i can not get over how good this entry is. where did you get those wall tiles? i've had phoenix phaerie's bathroom for forever, but i never use it. that's gonna change. i'm very interested to see the 1st place entry. :run:

ETA: i seened it and i like-ted yours better. :P her room is very pretty, but something about yours just moves me more. your entry makes me wonder about the back story. you captured the details perfectly from the intricate ceiling tiles, stately porcelain bathroom and imposing garden statue to the dead leaves, weeds, old newspapers and crows flying about. i want to know who lived there, and what would make them leave such a grand house for it to fall into disrepair.

Aww, thanks, mocha - that's exactly the mood I was trying to capture. :)

(And I'll let you in on a little secret, I liked my own entry better too - and actually it's not often I say that! :P )

The wall tiles were from the GoS 'Christmas in July' event, in this post here. Fab, aren't they?

Oh, and the bathroom suite is actually a grimy recolour of Pheonix Phaerie's bathroom from here, plus a rather slapdash dark wood recolour of the toilet cistern by me.

There's loads of really good stuff in that Christmas in July thread, mocha - it's well worth trawling through!

Thanks, Raheem! And you absolutely do NOT suck - I wish I could take such great shots of Sims as you do! :D

i went thru the thread thoroughly and got a few goodies. :D i have to tell you i'm trying my best to avoid new downloads until i get rid of all the old stuff that i don't use. i had to remove a bunch of my download subfolders to get my game to cooperate for the contest pics i took. once i took out the folders of downloads that i knew i wouldn't need for the pics, my game worked perfectly. the good news is it really confirmed for me that the crashing is because i have too many downloads.

Yay, I'm glad you have beaten your game into submission!

I really think that too many downloads can often be the reason for crashiness, although I know there is unexplained resistance to the idea in some quarters. :clueless:
