So shall I go first then? :giggle:

Love this idea, by the way; I just hope I'm doing it right!

Anyway, just recently I've been looking back through my old 'contest' album on Photobucket; it was really interesting (to me anyway) to see how my decorating style has evolved over the last couple of years!

I can't remember if I have bored you all with these before, but this was the first contest entry that I was really proud of, as I had just learned how to make object recolours, and so scattered them all through my pictures (feel free to play 'Spot the Recolour', if you like), and had also recently discovered the magic of OMSPs! :D

So, without further ado, this was my entry at Simvention for the 'Make Yourself a Home' (i.e. build and furnish your dream home) contest nearly 2 years ago now (yikes!).

EDIT: I forgot this picture, and to say that the house is meant to be a converted barn (hence the double-height living room), in the middle of nowhere...

WOW FRAN!!! I love the house! Its got perfectly open spaces and is just the right size. I love the cabin-in-the-woods feel to it, very rustic and cozy.

Thank you, all, for your lovely comments! (And Scotty, for embarrassing me!) :hugs:

I wasn't my very first contest, but the first one that I'd really put my heart and soul into, I guess!

Oh, and I'd be very happy to share the lot, although it does have quite a lot of pay content that I would need to weed out first - I also didn't think it was quite SU-style! ;)

It's funny that you should mention that. I often think about that in terms of things I'd like to upload. I think a lot of my lots are more sub-urban than urban.

Of course with me, the fact that I'm a nelly coward and afraid of comments comes in to play. B-)

And of course I would never presume to speak for Bree and Mocha, but it seems to me that while the focus of the site is definitely geared towards urban settings (like, it's in the tag line of the title :D )--the truth is that any decent creator can put brick on a building, grunge it up a little and call it "urban." What I think makes Sims Urbania REALLY stand out is the STYLE and QUALITY of the work that Mocha and Bree create and cultivate in the rest of us.

And your work has THAT in spades.

Leastways, that's how I see it.

*grabby hands for award-winning lot*

all of my lots aren't urban. although urban is what most of our visitors come to expect, we don't have any hard rules on what our members can share. i prefer quality above all else. variety is the spice of life, my dear! with that said, i'd love it if u uploaded this house, fran. it's GORGEOUS!

I myself think about my uploads at SU , I tried to respect the urban side but I always ended up sharing everything , I mean I offer what I can do , urban or not :$
:thanku: in advance Fran
