An updated version of the Cheyenne class, one of the starships destroyed at the battle of Wolf 359. Obviously of the same lineage as the Galaxy class, but it has a truncated stardrive section and uses a different tpye of nacelles, indicating that most likely it was a prototype or a precursor to the Galaxy project. Project notes: New pieces include the display case in the observation lounge and new bridge and engineering consoles (Essentially the same consoles, just replaced the textures with New Orleans class graphics) Specs: EPs Required: Everything up to  Lot Size: 5x6 Price: 499,000 Crew: 38 with current configuration                This is a BIG lot, about 35 Megs compressed. It uses several very high-poly objects and has a long loading time. | AS I commented on Facebook, J, you are spoiling us. The 4 nacelles make this a mean looking ship (to all except the Borg though......) Your deck layout is excellent and well thought-out. Congrats on another fine addition to our fleet and thanks for your excellent work! |

Thanks, Will. I appreciate the support. Truthfully, the original U.S.S. Ahwahnee was kind of a fugly-looking ship. I got a few laughs when I learned that the nacelles used in the studio models were made from markers. Nevertheless I persevered and made this hull a bit more pleasant to the eye. As for the layout, it was no small trick. I really wanted to get a 3-level warp core in the stardrive section, but that meant mangling the corridors and leaving some weird-shaped rooms. |
