chapter one part 1 Jhamel gazed at the scanner as blip that was the renegade slowly moved towards the target. a smell caught her attention siganling the arrival of Torn who was carrying a chair. torn placed the chair if front of the tactical consul and fired a bolt gun at the floor locking it in place. So that what you'v been saving up for said Jhamel. hey why should't tactical have a chair or i'm i not allowed a chair? said Torn. a blip from the computer caught there attention. there's a ship out there said Torn who started tapping the consul like mad. putting it on screen.  both of them were shocked staring at the behemoth. This is Torn to Ewan i think we found it. |

Jupiter station 4 weeks ago. captain Shasar pulled her head out of the covers , who was calling at this time? throwing off the covers she stood up and for a brief moment was confused where she was. she was on the USS Renegade her new starship it was a impressive ship with all the latest tech.  moving over to the computer she hit the answer button the face that appeared was not who she expected. ''admiral Andrew do you now what time it i? she said rubbing her eyes to help keep herself awake. '' and hello to you too Shasar'' '' what is it sir'' ''your first mission actually do you know of sector 705?'' ''Zuul territory you aren't sending us there are you?'' '' i'm sorry but one of are probes found something a picture flashed up on the screen it called the ozymandies you are to see what condition it is in and if possible you are to salvage it , is this clear.'' ''crystal sir'' she said closing the channel. Zuul the very name sent a chill down her spine , they were a barbaric race marsupials the size of gorillas with teeth like a tiger shark they could easily take your head off and they were sending her ship on it first mission right into there native territory this would be a baptism of fire. |

Ewan combadge blipped as tired hand hit it ''This is Ewan go ahead.'' ''sir we believe we found it.'' ''on my way''. grabbing a fresh uniform from a draw he started to pull it on stopping when he felt a hand on his shoulder. ''leaving so soon'' said t'para rubbing the sleep from her eyes. ''afraid so i'l see you later.'' exiting the room ewan started the walk to the turbolift. a few lesser crew men from the night sift drifted by they all looked on egdge and scared, ewan did't blame them they were one ship alone in the dark while a fleet had vanished out here. the turbolift door's slid open reviling a tried captain Shasar ''Ewan'' ''morning captain '' '' do you think this is it ?'' '' let's not get are hopes up captain'' '' good point i just what this ship out of here as soon as possible''. the turbo lift opened up on the bridge where the computer was still showing the ship. '' i believe we have found it captain '' said Ewan glancing at Torn consul. Shasar tapped here combadge ''this is the captain to senior staff meet me in the briefing room now.''  the senior staff of the renegade were all gathered around the table a few rubbing sleep from there eyes. now most of you will be wanting to now what were doing out here said Shasar a hologram of the ship appeared out of the table. ''this is the ozymandies it an early earth deep space coloniser it been drifting around these parts for over a 1000 years , the date recorded in it date banks should nearly have a complete map of this sector. ''why does starfleet what to know about this sector other than the zuul live here'' said Torn looking puzzled '' deep space probes have detected Dilithium traces there may be a deposit in this sector , Ewan i need you and Torn to get an away team together , Elizabeth some engineers will be going with them. i know this crew is new but i know we can do this. as the senior staff left Ewan stopped with a scowl on his face. '' captain my i have a word?? '' of course what on your mind commander?? '' i take it mister bruke is going to be part of the away team?? ''i'm sorry commander he the only one who under stands most of the technology will this be a problem''??? '' yes captain he insults my wife and my daughter on regular occasion and i'v got reports from a lot of the crew who he insulted as well.'' '' i'm sorry commander but there is nothing i can do you'll just have to grind your teeth. '' very well commander do i have permission to make life hell for him '' Shasar smiled '' permission grated commander now get going''. there was a hiss a the three shuttels left the Renegade and entered the vacuum of space , the ozymandies was bigger up close as the three shuutels halted in front of it shuttle bay. there was an huge hole as if something had shot it out. '' this is Ewan to all shuttles hold here whilst check it out '' Roger sir'' came Torn and Elizabeth shuttle moving inside it became clear what had blown the hole , a Zuul slave disk in all it barbaric glory. Zuul slave disk were short range Zuul assault ships needing a mothership for long range travel. '' any life signs'' ?? said Ewan who was switching his phaser to kill. '' one sir '' replied the andorian helmsman. '' land the ship we got to silence it before it raises the alarm.'' there was a hiss as the shuttle landed great plums of dust roses from where it had rested for centuries. Ewan and the 4 security officers ran from the shuttle to cover of various boxes all scanning for targets. '' anyone have target'' '' no sir'' '' he must be inside the disk move up''. it was't hard to find the Zuul the noises it was making were enough to wake the dead. it was sitting in the command chair singing to itself if you could call it singing. '' aim for it head fire on my mark'' said Ewan making sure the phaser would go right through it head. four phasers aimed for the beast head. '' fire'' yelled Ewan 5 phaser beams all joined as one and hit the beast head putting a neat hole through it head. Ewan edged forwards and felt for a pulse to his relief there was't one. ''good job people check the rest of the disk for any more'' '' yes sir'' Ewan hit his commbadge '' this is Ewan to Torn and Elizabeth bring your teams in and start working your way to the bridge.'' ''sir you need to see this '' said one of the ensigns a trill under the name Rikey. ''What is it ensign'' said Ewan moving to follow him what was in the room took Ewan's breath away  '' what are the Zuul doing with stasis pods???'' |

Chapter 2 meanwhile in the rest of the universe  Yazar punched the training bag so hard it made her fists hurt. all of her years of doing her best in class and she was being posted to one of the earth defence ships?? turning to pick up her stuff from where she had put it a unwelcome voice creep't up. Adam a human cadet wearing the red squadron uniform was sitting on on of the benches her bag at his feet. ''to my little one may this keep you safe in the dark corners of the world, who the hell wrote this lizard??? Yazar felt a surge of anger inside her that was her fathers fang knife that he had given her when she enlisted in starfleet '' give that back Adam '' Adam chucked the fang onto the floor '' fetch halfbreed '' Yazar walked over a pile of weights garbed one and hit Adam square in the face. '' Don't call me half breed '' over in the doorway a Dragonian chuckled. '' that my granddaughter'' said blackheart Yazar started picking up her stuff the sound of Adam rolling around on the floor was music to her ears '' you half-breed '' cried Adam pulling himself up and drawing a knife from inside his uniform. there was a second thud as Adam hand slammed to the floor a larger fang knife sticking right through it small amount of bright green liquid dripping into the wound. ''only a coward attacks from behind '' said blackheart steeping out of the shadows. ''Legatus supreme will you leave cadet adam to me please '' said Vash appearing from behind him. '' just protecting my own Vash'' said blackheart pulling his fang from Adam's hand. '' Cadet Adam you are confined to quarters until i say so , cadet Yazar report to my office''. Yazar started walking falling in behind Vash crystal bodyguard , it was a massive beast that Vash called a a war jack that he had brought from the armada after a assassin had made an attempt on his life. opening the door the to Vash office Yazar was startled by a Tholian sitting behind the door. '' Cadet Loskene you can leave now i'l talk to you later , now Cadet Yazar this is the third time you attacked another cadet'' ''sir he started it'' '' yes as i saw but still if you attack one more cadet you'l be expelled do i make myself clear?? ''yes sir'' said Yazar as she turned and left his office , Blackheart was waiting outside ''so how's my favourite granddaughter???'' '' she's fine '' '' so who going to get me a drink???? Renegade medical bay. T'para sat in Renegade's medical bay looking at crew previous medical records. the familiar sound of the door opening caught her attention '' Counsellor Nawaar what can i do for you'' said T'para ''i'm just wanting to talk if you have time''? '' sure pull up a chair'' '' thanks i just like getting to know the crew before someone has a panic attack.'' '' so what is it you what to know'' '' is it true that you and the first officer.....'' '' married over 20 years and have a daughter who graduating starfleet academy next year'' '' you get that question a lot???'' '' all the time.'' |

Renegade Bridge Captain Shasar sat on the bridge of her ship, a look of concern on her face. Her away team hadn’t reported back for over 30 minutes which against regulations. Still it could be the area of space was interfering with the communication. Everyone on the ship was on edge, being in Zuul territory did that to you. Then the sound everyone feared rang out. ‘’ Unidentified warp signatures ‘’ yelled Jhamel from her consul. ‘’on screen’’  What appeared on the screen made everyone blood turn cold. Two Zuul warships jumped out of the warp and moved at full speed towards the Renegade. ‘’ Red alert, helm battle stations ‘’ said Shasar, her mind only focused on one single goal survival. ‘’Captain there haling us audio only ‘’ ‘’ What why would the Zuul want to talk ‘’? ‘’Unknown maybe they want to taunt us.’’? ‘’Maybe, there’s only on why to find out, on screen’’ Attention federation vermin i am chieftain Zacul of the Zuul, you will leave are space or be destroyed. ‘’ this is captain shasar of the USS renegade, why should we you know my ship can match your firepower ‘’ Even if you destroy these ship’s there are many more on the way you will die. ‘’some of my crew are on the ozymandies may we retrieve them ? There was a long pause ‘’ very well retrieve your crewmen but be quick about it.’’ ‘’ well that was unexpected, Shasar to away team ‘’ ‘’ Ewan here what is it captain?’’ ‘’ Zuul ships are here and there asking us to leave.’’ ‘’ wait Zuul talking, since when did they start using diplomacy?’’ ‘’ never mind that just get back here.’’ ‘’ Roger ETA 5 minutes.’’  10 minutes later the Renegade was back at warp speed heading back towards federation space. Ewan entered his quarters to see his wife with her head down on the desk. He moved over and rubbed her shoulder. is everything okay ? T’para yawned and turned, her face lighting up. No everything’s fine just a very long day, one of the girls in navigation believes she’s pregnant, she did't even now she could get pregnant. Remind you of anyone?  T’para stood up and put her arms around him. ''Us of course''. ''Still i hope you aren’t too tired there the new year party after all''. T’para’s face light up ''Of course how could i have forgotten, how long do we have before it start’s?'' ''A few hours, don’t worry we don’t have to rush.'' 3 hours later. Ewan tugged at the collar of his uniform, new uniforms always felt too tight around his neck. Still he always got used to them. First officer he still couldn’t believe he final gotten the position, even better he gotten a position with his wife on the same ship. Two years apart had left them both feeling empty and it was so good to work with her again. ''How do i look?'' Ewan looked up and his jaw dropped. T’para was standing there in a dress that flowed like water.  ''Judging by the fact your jaw is on the floor i take it i’m looking very good.'' Ewan stood up ''You are the most beautiful thing in the galaxy, have i ever told you that?'' ''Constantly but thanks for the reminder.'' ''No problem, my love.'' Senior officers bar.  So you’re not fully Bajoran? Said Navvar No half Bajoran, i never knew my mother. And what about you consular do you have any family. Said Elizabeth. Navvar pulled a small locket from around her neck. ‘’My daughter, she studying science at the academy on earth. ‘’she looks like you, who was the father? Navvar face turned black and her eyes showed great pain.’’ Sorry i shouldn’t have asked. No it okay i got over it. Captain Shasar stood by the bar listening in to the conversation’s of her crew. Her head turned when the door opened. ‘’ Ewan and T’para was it?’’ ‘’ it was captain, good to meet you when we’re not in the briefing room.’’ ‘’ good to meet you too, now tell me where did you get that dress?’’ ‘’ gift from a friend and that all i’m saying.’’ 2 hours later. The party was in full swing and judging by the large amount of glasses on the bar the Synthehol was going down a treat. Ewan and T’para were still dancing. ''Do you ever tire? said Ewan spinning her around.'' ''No do you?'' Said T’para putting her arms around him. ''No, not as long as your here.''  Ewan pulled his wife closer looking deep into her eyes. There was blip as the screen FNN popped on the countdown to the new year was in it last final minutes. Captin Shasar stood up. ''Well everyone, last few seconds of the old century''. She picked up a glass from the bar Here’s to the next one final being the age of peace they always say is around the corner. 10 9 8 7 6 Alpha Centauri 2 minutes ago. Vash put down the padd he was reading. He knew everyone was celebrating the century all across the federation, and he knew at Vulcan a unknown ship had just been detected. ''Master is something wrong?'' Vash looked up, his bodyguard was looking down at him. ''It started Crasala and there nothing we can do to stop it.'' ''Why?'' ''Because no one will listens.'' 5 4 3 Vulacn 2 1 ''FIRE ALL GUNS,KILL THEM ALL.'' To be continued.... Edited by gimzod76, Jun 3 2010, 07:02 AM.

Episode 2 part 1. Ewan couldn't sleep. He had not slept in over 2 days, 2 days since the Reneged had re-entered federation space, 2 days and still no contact with any federation ship or planet. The door to his quarters opened the bright light causing him to look away.  ‘’Ewan are you okay. ‘’ Ewan turned his head; his wife was standing in the doorway her face bleak with bags under her eyes. ‘’Cannot sleep, and how are you?’’ T’para pulled of her coat and threw it onto one of the chairs. ‘’ bad I had to give at least 23 crewmembers sleeping pills, is it okay if I get a shower?’’ ‘’sure, I’ll try calling the captain again.’’ As T’para moved off into the small bathroom, Ewan reached for his combadge. ‘’ this is Ewan to the captain, any word from outside?’’ ‘’None yet Dragon don’t worry I’ll call you the moment we hear something. ‘’ Ewan placed his combadge on the couch arm. He walked slowly over to the computer, with a click a single image jumped up, an image of Yazar, his daughter and one of the most important things in his life. A single tear in his eye he moved and sat down on the bed.  ‘’be safe little one, please’’ A hand moved across his shoulder. ‘’she will be fine after all she has your fighting skill’s’’ said T’para. Ewan turned to look at his wife. ‘’ She has your beauty as well ‘’ replied Ewan taking her hand with his own. ‘’ I know ‘’ said T’para with a sigh, Ewan knew why she was upset she always wanted more children; unfortunately the chances of conceiving were one in 10 million. They were lucky enough to have Yazar. Ewan pulled his wife closer, rubbing his head against his own. In one swift move, T’para pulled herself next to him.  ‘’ I love you, with all my heart and mind, you do know that?’’ ‘’Of course I do ‘’ T’para kissed Ewan the look in her eyes, was that of pure love. ‘’Computer lights ‘’ they said in unison as there room slipped into darkness T’para awoke the smell of coffee filling the room. Ewan was sitting at the table, the remains of a bacon sandwich vanishing down his throat. Many people would consider this rude but dragonians had a very short sleep period. Ewan held up a cup of coffee.  ‘’you sleep well dear’’ T’para took the cup and sighed. ‘’ no but I’m fine’’ T’para moved over to the replicator. ‘’pancakes’’. The familiar sound of the replicator humming filled the room. T’para took the steaming pile and Sat down at the table. ‘’ so what do you think happened on Vulcan?’’ Said Ewan  T’para stopped eating, a weak smile spreading across her face. ‘’ Ewan i know it your job but can we have on conversation that isn’t about work.’’ ‘’ of course, sorry the last few years work is i really talked about, how did you cope for the last few years?’’ T’para smiled ‘’ it was lonely i missed wakening up to find my breakfast had already been made.’’ ‘’ i missed you as well it....’’ Ewan was interrupted by the bleep of his combadge. ‘’ Ewan Dragon to the bridge.’’ ‘’ Be there in 5’’ said Ewan his face scowling. He turned to face his wife. ‘’sometimes i think there a galactic force trying to keep us apart.’’ Ewan moved over to the chest of draws that held his uniform and started pulling it on. Within a few minutes, he striated he jacket and moved towards the door. ‘’wait’’ Ewan turned as T’para put her arms around him. ‘’you weren’t going to leave without saying goodbye were you’’. Said T’para She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.  ‘’No of course not goodbye my love I’ll see you later’’ Said Ewan as he moved towards the door. ‘’ I know, take care of yourself’’ said T’para her face in a giant smile. Alpha Centauri Yazar hurried down the corridor, how had she slept in again? Pulling her jacket over her swimsuit, she finished stuffing the piece of toast she was eating into her mouth. How on earth could she have slept in on today of all days, the day that underwater surgery class started. Turning the corner, she nearly ran head first into Vash. ‘’Cadet Yazar you should watch where you’re going.’’ ‘’ sorry sir I’m late.’’ ‘’ Well don’t let me keep you.’’ Yazar started running again arriving outside the changing rooms. It was then a thought occurred what was Vash doing in the gymnasium complex? Pushing the door open, she let out a sigh of relief. Her roommates still hadn’t left. Kara a klingon Romulan hybrid turned.  ‘’ so you finally woke up sleepy head. ‘’  Yazar moved over to one of lockers and started taking off jacket. ‘’ you could have woke me up.’’ ‘’ Hey i tried to wake you up 3 times and those two had already left.’’ Keira a bajorian and Kani a Iganus looked up from the bench they had been sitting on.  ‘’ Hey it not our fault you two wouldn’t wake up. ‘’ said Kani ‘’ Hey i’m a heavy sleeper.’’ Said Yazar who was stuffing her jacket into a locker. ‘’ everyone one the fifth floor knows that. ‘’ said Keira They all started laughing, they had their differences, but they were friends. Kani and Keria stood up and left through the side door. Yazar finished folding her uniform into the locker. It was then the heavy breathing caught her attention. Kara was sitting down her head on her head.  ‘’ Kara are you okay?’’ ‘’ sorry panic attack. ‘’ ‘’ you need me to get the nurse?’’ ‘’ No, I’m fine. ‘’ Yazar sat down beside her friend. Kara had always suffered from panic attacks.  ‘’ must be annoying to suffer from random panic attacks.’’ ‘’Say’s the girl who can fry her own brain stem.’’ Said Kara a smile spreading across her face. Yazar held out her hand, Kara look up, she smiled and took it. Yazar helped pull her to her feet.  Yazar: come on or will be late for class. Kara: after you Yazar. Yazar: One quick question, any idea why would Vash be in this building? Kara: maybe that secret alcohol safe here. Now come on we don’t want to be late for training. They both laughed before hurrying out the side door. Vash office. The door slid open as Vash entered his office. His war jack was in the corner, it recharge crystals glowing in the sun. He moved over to the desk and placed a small black crystal on the desk. There was a blip as the computer flicked on.  ‘’ There is a waiting call from Starfleet command’’ said the dull metallic drone of the computer ‘’on screen.’’ There was a blip as the computer screen turned on showing a Starfleet officer who seemed terrified out of his wits.  ‘’Are commander Rasok what can i do for you.’’ ‘’Well it commander in chief now sir, but still it about the president.’’ ‘’What about him i didn’t think he survived the attack on Vulcan. ‘’ ‘’He didn’t ‘’ ‘’ so is this about who being voted into office?’’ ‘’ Yes sir the vote been done.’’ ‘’and who got the job poor dumb smock.’’ ‘’ Sir you’ve been voted into office.’’ There was a long silence, after what seemed an entirety a smile spread across Vash’s face. ‘’ Good i’l be on earth in 3 hours, now as my first act as president make sure there an emergency meeting of the council in 5 hours’’ ‘’sir yes sir’’.  With the push of the button, Rasok disappeared from the screen. A smile spread across Vash’s face it felt good to be the boss. He glided over to the window. '' And so it begin's'' to be continued.
