So, I had to start this over as my other forums all got hacked. Flying FSX, with Active Sky Advanced so real weather and though I may switch planes time to time starting out with the Cessna C208B Grand Caravan. So, here we go. Sept. 14/2009: Toronto City Centre Airport,Toronto, Ontario, Canada (CYTZ) to Senneterre, Quebec, Canada. (CTK2) Clear and no drama. Sept. 15/2009: Senneterre, Quebec, Canada. (CTK2) to Tasiujaq, Quebec, Canada. (CYTQ) Fairly uneventful. Some interesting wind at one point. I used the landing thingie again on the autopilot and once trusting to it, was okay. (VFR?) Sept. 16/2009: Tasiujaq, Quebec, Canada. (CYTQ) to Kulusuk, Greenland. (BGKK) Lot's of snow, clouds and wind. But had a blast. Landing was windy as Hell so kind of got her down off to the side of the runway but got her down indeed. hahahaaaa... Sept. 18/2009: Kulusuk, Greenland. (BGKK) to Reykjavik, Iceland. (BIRK) Pretty cloudy and one of my only night flights. Clouds are pretty crappy at night in this eh? Ah well. Fun part was landing at Reykjavik. had a Learjet hot on my ass and I'll say the panic was right THERE not to mess up!! I may not know a lot of the terminology but I know when he's giving a bigger faster jet the same instructions as me!! HAD to trust the APR this time and it worked a treat. It was off a bit oonce in closer but close enough to correct myself and all in all, not a bad landing. I may get this down yet! heh.... Sept. 18/2009: Reykjavik, Iceland. (BIRK) to Stornoway, Ireland, U.K. (EGPO) WOOHOO!! Made it across the ocean!! haha. Night flight, (Got me my 25 hours thingie) and had to go back around to land as i thopught that APR thingie would get me to the runway but onl;y circled the airport. Oops! Got down fine though. |

So, I jjust tried my first successful jet flight. YES!! Found I could figure out the Autopilot stuff on the Bombardier Learjet 45. So the following is aboard that aircraft: Sept. 19, 2009: Stornoway, Ireland, U.K. (EGPO) to Glasgow, Scotland, U.K.(EGPF) Lots of clouds. Fun flight, landed first time, Haha, considering it's my first time with a jet!! Glasgow, Scotland, U.K.(EGPF) to Liverpool, England, U.K. (EGGP) Another night run. I like this jet stuff..Teeheehee... |

I loverd the Learjet but a wee bit too quiet..Haha. Tried flying the 737 from Hobart tasmania to Sydney, and lived to tell the tale. tried the Airbus A321 today but couldn't land it worth a Damn!! So, I decided on the 737-800 and also painted one to haul my sinrace team with..... ![]() ![]() So with the 737: Sept.20, 2009 Liverpool, England, U.K. (EGGP) to Heathrow International Airport, London, England, U.K. (EGLL) Night run, neat clouds, saw a few other aircraft and great practice with the bigger jets. Took me a while to find the runway but got her down. WHEE!! Heathrow International Airport, London, England, U.K. (EGLL) to Edinburgfh, Scotland, U.K. (EGPH) Again, nice weather, not a bad flight, landings are improving. Mostly trying to find the runway in the dark. Sept.21, 2009 Edinburgfh, Scotland, U.K. (EGPH) to Oslo, Norway. (ENGM) I did this one twice as I was trying to use the nav stuff and crashed. Whoops! So had to leave Edinburgh much later and ended up with a night flight again. Teeheehee. Where's the snow?? Sept.22, 2009 Oslo, Norway. (ENGM) to Rostove-Na-Donu, Russian Federation. (URRR) Dayrun, no wind. Rostove-Na-Donu, Russian Federation. (URRR) to Omidiyeh, Iran (OIAJ) The above and this stop are on my way to Dubai. Stopping for fuel & rest. No bloody lights on the runway!! Sept.23, 2009 Omidiyeh, Iran (OIAJ) to Dubai, U.A.E. (OMDB) Time differences!! GR. haha. Left in eveing, landed at night. Wrong runway (couldn't see the airport through the fog/cloud til last minute) but landed so............ Oct 4, 2009 Dubai, U.A.E. (OMDB) to Abha, U.A.E. (OEAB) used the settings to do this in daylight. I also used the save feature as myhealth has been iffy this last little bit so took me quite a while to complete it. Oct 5, 2009 Abha, U.A.E. (OEAB) to Cairo, Egypt. (HECA) Started back North again as I wanted to see some weather now that Fall has started into winter. One of my better landings too!! |

So, here's where the changes take place..... I made a new 737. here's it in progress. ![]() ![]() ![]() Today I flew it and got a new idea. I'm going to go back through this thread and track where my various planes are. Iwill continue with PRCP636 and I will be looking up my small Cessna eventually and making a skin for it also. We'll see how far this goes....Heh. So: From here on in, the threads separate. The threads below this one are a continuation from this point. I will also be doing a Cessna skin or two eventually......... |
