GAME: CoD:WaW
TYPE: First Person Shooter
MAKER: Activision
Campaign: 4.5
Multiplayer: 5
OVERALL: 4.8

If this is your very first experience with an FPS, then you’ve got yourself a good one. And if this isn’t your first FPS, then you’ve still got a good game. And if you’ve got Gold membership, along with a couple hours of free time, then you’ve got a great game. Every experienced gamer knows that the most popular war for a historic video game is World War 2. And this game is no different. However, this game is good. Really good. The campaign takes you through the different battles one would see if in war, with the cliché objectives that make or break the war. However, there is no definite storyline. You play as two different soldiers- one in the US Army, and one in the Russian Army. But because of the constant switch, I don’t really think you grasp the normal “campaign” feel. However the campaign is still quite good. It has a pretty big selection of weapons, ranging from the Springfield bolt-action with scope (for sniping), to the simple-but-useful flamethrower (for clearing trenches). Then after the normal game, if you still want some more action, you can try your hand at the Nazi Zombie mini game. Here you be put in an old shack with zombies coming in. slowly at first, then more quickly as the rounds progress. Also, you accumulate points that let you explore the rest of the shack, along with getting other weapons to fight with. Although somewhat repetitive, still a nice little add-on. But after the campaign is all said and done, you still have multiplayer to keep you company. It offers multiple guns, that you accumulate access to by completing challenges and getting better (in return, building your class/rank) At first, this may seem kinda overwhelming or just aggravating. But after you get used to it, you really love it. However, please note that the douche bags who choose to use just submachine guns the whole time, while you actually use a gun that requires somewhat aim and tactic (much like the scout of TF2) never stops being an aggravation. But in the end, the multiplayer itself almost makes the sixty bucks you have to shell out for it worth it. I would definitely recommend this game for anyone who has a Gold membership, and really even someone doesn’t. Its just a good game, which is why I give a four point eight out of five to this game.
