Alright, so since 2009 is close to being over, I was thinking we could all share what we all think were the best albums of 2009. It will be cool to share, so we can all hear some new music, that we normally wouldnt listen to. I can honestly say that I think 2009 was a shit year for album releases, but there are a few that stick out in my mind. The First is a CD that I have had in my CD player for many months now, It's A Day To Remember "Homesick"..this album is a mix of pop/punk/metal. It's the kind of album that just makes you pumped, the songs are well writte, well produced, and well executed, its no suprise That AP voted this the album of the year. The next album I think is great is Paramore's Brand New Eyes, it's a more mature sound for the band, but they still maintain the "paramore" sound, songs that stand out to me on the album are, "where the lines overlap", "misguided ghosts" and "All I wanted".
On "All i wanted" Hayleys vocals give me chills everytime, her true voice shines on this track. The last album I want to mention is Muse Resistance, now, this is not my favorite Muse album, but I have to give them Kudos, this is a three piece band, and they sound like an entire orchestra, It's beautiful, their creativity never ceases to amaze and inspire me, this album is waht you would call a masterpiece. Alright Folks!!! Let's discuss! What are some of the best albums of 2009 is your opinion??? what songs just struck a chord with ya?? hope to hear some new ones, so I can discover new jams.

Well 1st, I gotta go with the obvious one and say Weezer's Raditude is pretty damn good. There are a few songs that are a bit hard to listen to, but there are more that just kick ass.

The Used came out with Artwork. Not their best but I enjoyed it fully.

Reel Big Fish released an all cover album that was decent. One of the better versions of "Talk Dirty To Me" and a reggae tune called "Keep a Cool head" (an homage to the late Desmond Dekker)

Pearl Jam came out with Backspacer. I fell into rock music because of Pearl Jam but after Vitalogy, I kind of just didn't care. But this new album is pretty good. Kind of brings em back to sounding like Pearl Jam again :)

Wolfmother came out with one recently (Cosmic Egg) and I've always meant to suggest it to Mossburger. I think you'd enjoy it a lot.

Dethklok released their 2nd album, and it's awesome as usual! One of the best metal bands out there.

Dude, you are making me really excited to Listen to the new Pearl Jam with ya saying that! I used to love them, Ten and VS were epic albums, but as you mentioned Vitalogy was just not their best. I've also heard really great things about Wolfmother, that albums been getting crazy reviews, definitley one I will have to check out. As for Weezer, have not had a chance to give the whole album a listen, but I do dig the single they put out "I want you too"?..I think thats what it is called.

One that i meant to also mention in my first post, is Them Crooked Vultures, I've heard a few tracks, and it is plain sick, which isnt very suprising since the band is made up of superhuman musicians. As for The Used, I don't mind their music, but I just can't get it out of my head that their lead singer was on the Osbournes as kelly's boyfriend, i know that is completely irrelevant to their music, but that's what I think of. We need more people to join this forum.

Lol. It's all good. I do it too. For example, I relate Foo Fighters to a complete douchebag in High School, who LOVED them, and since then, I just can't love them. hah
