This is the main chitchat NASCAR discussion thread. No jet-fighter, open-wheeled, milk-drinking IRL sissies allowed... Just. Kidding.

lol you actually spelled Boogity right.

Only 37 cars have full sponsorship this year so far.. And some cars have empty seats, mainly the ones from the newly merged Petty & GEM organization...

I have no idea how this year is gonna turn out. There's gonna be so many changes. (pun not intended :P)

GEM and Petty have officially merged apparently, and Elliot's staying put.

Dale Jr.'s also the winner of the 2009 Daytona 500 btw. :P

But really, my Dad seems to think it'll be Tony because he'll want to show his old team a thing or two for going to Toyotas.

I'd put more money on Joey Lagano AKA Sliced Bread/TOAST causing the first wreck :P

Right now, I want to go racing... I remember seeing a commercial about local race tracks. I wonder if there are any near me that I can race on. Of course, I'd need a crap-load of money to do it, and I'm not that good at driving neither. Darn.

lol I'd like to race too! My cousin (he's more like an uncle to me though) does.

He came in like 2nd in points last year; the only reason he lost is because he had to miss a race or two because of his job, plus we had heavy hearts because his Dad died.

I hope he can win the championship this year, that would be awesome.

I think I'd be a pretty good racer. :D

You'd be a good racer because you grew up with racing all around you. I'll be rooting for your cousin and you if you start racing. :)

I have money but not nearly enough for that kind of thing. I need to save it and spend it on stuff I might need right now, but who knows what might happen in the future. :O

My Dad is weirded out about all of the new changes. Even though I've gradually told him about them as they made headlines, he caught a bunch of it on TV on NASCAR Preseason Thunder on SPEED 6 PM EST. I missed it but I pretty much already know most of the changes.

It'd take Larry Mac 3 days to cover it all.

I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message:

- NO testing
- New teams, I.E. Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM o.O), Stewart-Haas, etc.
- New drivers, swapped drivers
- Changes in the Chase: I think one of the races got swapped
- Coors Light Shootout
- Possible Cutback on Miles Run (Subway 350?)
- Mark Martin
- DONOVAN MCNABB
