To go for a rank over the course of the timeskip, you must apply. You must also give a sample at least a day after the timeskip and they will all be processed over time when the moderators and admins get through with it. You will create a new topic with the application below and you will name it after your Character, the description should contain your key and current rank.

Code:

[b]In-game name:[/b]
[b]Aliases:[/b]
[b]Key:[/b]
[b]Character Age:[/b]
[b]Ninja Type:[/b]
[b]Current Character Rank:[/b]
[b]Current number of Jutsu:[/b]
[b]Current Character Village:[/b]
[b]Current Character Organization:[/b]
[b]Current Elements:[/b]
[b]Time Spent over skip:[/b]
[b]Requested Rank:[/b]
[b]Requested Jutsu:[/b]
[b]RP Sample:[/b]

Guidelines.

Now take into consideration everything factors into your profile. Here's some age guidelines.

5-10 = - 1 Jutsu; 15% luck
11-14 = 0 Jutsu; 10% luck
15-17 = + 1 Jutsu; 20% luck
18-30 = + 2 Jutsu; 30% luck
31-40 = + 3 Jutsu;20% luck
41-60 = + 2 Jutsu; 10% luck
61+ = - 1 Jutsu; 5% luck

Now don't freak out, let me explain. This shows how many jutsu you can get over the time skip based on your age. I'm sure half of you are already going "But Jet! Two of those have -1's! I don't want to lose a jutsu!"; chill out. You're not losing anything. That negatives apply to whether you have a chance of learning jutsu. Say your rank gave you a chance to learn a jutsu(Which I will cover later); your age has a chance of vetoing that jutsu.

Now I'll explain the luck. The luck contributes to your chances to rank up. As you can see, your age increases the chances you'll get a rank when I put your name in my binary program. If you're 5-10, your base luck in increasing for your rank is 15%. That means when I put your name in, you have a 15% chance of increasing in your rank to the next rank, simple, no?; too bad.

Onto the next part, ranks.

Villager = - 2 Jutsu; 10% luck
Academy Student = - 1 Jutsu; 12% luck
D Rank = - 1 Jutsu; 7% luck
Genin = +0.5 Jutsu; 10% luck
Genin C = + 0.7 Jutsu; 15% luck
Chuunin = + 1 Jutsu; 10% luck
Chuunin B = + 1.3 Jutsu; 20% luck
Special Jounin = + 1.3 Jutsu; 40% luck
Jounin = + 1.5; 30% luck
Jounin A = + 2 Jutsu; 20% luck
ANBU(A Rank+) = + 2.3 Jutsu; 5% luck
Sannin = + 2.4 Jutsu = 0% luck
Kage = + 2.5 Jutsu = 0% luck
Missing = + 0.5 Jutsu; "X" luck
Criminal = + 1 Jutsu; "X" luck

Now, from here you're probably only wondering three things. Let's hit it one at a time. The rate of Jutsu is per year first off. So if you get 0.5 jutsu a year, you need two years to learn a jutsu. Next, how does luck stack? It stacks just as is. You add the amount of luck your rank contributes to the amount of luck your age contributes and you got a pretty good idea of how much luck you got. Anyways, let's get to the last question: "Jet, what the flying f-, does "x" luck mean?" Well my little nub, "X" is a variable and it changes. Criminal is a rank itself, basically a missing who's done crimes. Their rank has nothing to do with their actual stats or anything. Let's use Jet's character for an example. His stats are proportional to a C rank genin, but his criminal rank is B putting him on the notoriety level of a Chuunin or Special Jounin. Now, you need not worry about your luck when your missing or criminal as your stats increase relevant to how important you are in the story. This you can say Jet has it easy because people just follow him, but if you want people to follow you so you can make yourself important in the story, or -a- story(As SS is composed of many stories, an example of which is how two players made several stories collide in a cluster fuck and interesting event last night) and they made something new. Anyways, there you have it, get to RPing. Lastly your attitudes play a role.

Average = 0 Jutsu; 25% luck
Slacker = - 1 Jutsu; + 40% luck
Pacifist = + 1/-1 Jutsu(+1 Gen, -1 Nin); +10% luck
Genius = + 1 Jutsu; + 15% luck
Hardworker = + 0.7 Jutsu; + 20% luck
Insomniac = + 0.5 Jutsu; +10% luck
Custom Attitudes(Gained in Events. Asking for them results in you not getting any.) = + "X" Jutsu; + "X"% luck.

And that pretty much covers it. I guess.
