Attack\n\Meditate - A multi-command macro that allows one to attack and then meditate immediately afterward with the press of a single button. This combination of commands allows people to constantly (literally) train, for as long as they want. The meditating and the attack stack, especially if you put the command on repeat. That means you can literally hold it, even if your stamina is at 0% and you will continue to meditate until you're able to attack again. I've tested it, it's infinite. I've told admins and the owner/coder himself about it, but it seems it was forgotten in the midst of the attack bugs that occurred a while back (Konohagakure Online-era.) Now, I see players doing it, and they claim "everyone" does it, it's just spar-whoring. 'Ulq saw me doing it, and didn't do anything.' Now, in the RP games I play, Spar-whoring is dedicating all of your time to sparing, whether it be OOC sparring or IC sparring, instead of roleplaying, developing your character, etc. Using commands in a way that the coders didn't intend for them to be used, is still called bug abuse in my book. I've been absent for a while (Formerly Dancing Dead) so maybe the rules were updated and using this combination is allowed. I doubt it. Hence the post. |

I agree with this....although training and (occasionally) sparring is alright in my book, as it is an intended way to train, doing it too much or "whoring" yourself out is complete abuse of the game. I have countless people ask me, "why did you get chunnin?" and they didn't, or "Why are YOU Anbu? Are you a buttkisser?" Although the truth is, instead of whoring some log in a corner, I spend my time rping. |

I tested the whole 'Whoring vs. RP' debate in the last wipe. Without any type of sparring, I made it to the rank of Nichibotsu leader, and the RP stayed in balance. One factor however, is that the admins decided to give rank boosts. The rank boosts canceled out the spar whoring and made it irrelevant, therefore giving those dedicated to RP the ability to defeat those who neglected it and decided to spar whore or log whore. I believe that if the admins continue to give boosts it will keep things even and the RP in line. The last wipe was great in all of the players books, because due to the promise of boosts former spar whores actually RPed the entire time. |

... I didn't see those boosts. But without a rank, boom, dead. You can't RP an actual villager ascending through the ranks of anything when you got most people spar-whoring and begging for a genin and all. They don't wait and enjoy the RP, they just want Chuunin+ so they can own RP. |

While my post was about a potential bug, I'm glad to see a lot of people feel the same way about it as I do. This current wipe I don't think ranks are getting boosts, which is sort of absurd. As the Mizukage (who obviously had to take the time to RP for it) and filling out a clan applications, when I hosted the first class there were villagers stronger than me. And due to (In my personal opinion) OOC in IC, they all told me, the Mizukage, that I was crazy for being ruthless, and that they expect something different from a shinobi. Obviously little children have seen too little of the world to have views to debate with the Mizukage over, but regardless, I wasn't able to punish them because half of them had spent the first 30 minutes of the wipe nonRP sparring, while I was applying. Not to mention, those that I hit didn't sustain much damage, again due to us having the same stats. It really takes away from the effect of roleplaying. |
