What little things did you notice about the game/story/characters that you missed the first time that you played?

I'll start with a really obvious one and one that proves that I pay a little too much attention:

1. Joshua's standing next to Hachiko in W1D1 before Neku makes his pact.
2. Neku only uses the word "dude" when talking to Beat.

Now what about yours?

It's a trap!
1. :megumi: Megumi has that little beard that he needs to shave! *rage*

2. The tree in front of the WildKat has a whole lot of skulls hidden in the pattern of it's leaves.

3. Josh says Neku's name twice (I think) before finally asking what his name is ♥

4. 777's Hoodie is just a modified version of the Tenor Reaper's standard "uniform."

So the first one isn't really all that spectacular, but I just bugs me.... And I definitely thought it was a shadow the first time around.

Being a creeper myself, this is one of the huge reasons that I love him~ :superlol:

Are you kidding? He obviously has a really enormous cleft chin. Similarly, the first couple times I saw him I thought that his hair was a hood (because of all the hooded guys in the intro cinematic).

Also, the tree thing is awesome. I remember a skull shape catching my eye before and I just dismissed it as coincidence, but now that I look...

Have another obvious one and an obscure one to keep this rolling:

1. Rhyme's bell pendant was a gift from Beat (she also thinks that he's "really nice" ;) ). Apparently that pendant sold out before even fashion-slave Shiki Misaki could get one, so it leaves us wondering what sort of lengths Beat went to in order to get it.

2. Beat wears a silver band on his right ring finger, but it's not in his official art, sprites, or fusions, and I've only been able to catch him wearing it three times over the course of the game:

Shiki and Konishi have silver rings as well. They must all be in a secret cult!

I also did wear one some time ago. At the same place. Without a reason. And not every day. So, Daisukenojo Bito, nothing to worry about, most of the rumours were killed - by ME! xD

*cough*

Anyways, one thing that really kinda surprised me is that Kariya really carried lollipops with him.
I wondered about his nickname "Lollipop" many times.
I always thought they were flowers instead o.O

Now I know the truth! Kyokugen!

The silver band thing, I would have never noticed that. Oh continuity errors, how we love you!

Ok, this is actually from the instruction booklet, and I posted it on the LJ community a while back but I guess I'll post it here too.

Reportedly, they took the Meatspin reference out in the latter editions of the game, but for all of us who have an early copy we get to laugh/cringe at the staff's sense of humor.

P.S. If you don't get the meatspin thing, please please please count yourself lucky. Save your eyes, don't look it up. If you've ever heard of tubgirl or lemonparty etc., it's similarly disgusting. DX

Is Minamimoto under a vending machine or under a heap of garbage? Judge by yourselves:
First, Neku, Shiki and Beat find a heap of garbage in the Shibuya River, and "someone is under it". Then (when in the upper screen there is certainly a heap of garbage) an image of Minamimoto-sama under two vending machines appears in the touch screen.

Oh, but you knew that already.

Meatspin is in my French manual but not the English one >__>

On the Canadian bilingual package, but the French translation is a little bit fumbled.

The manual has a bunch of errors in it, too, and it needlessly translated the names of a bunch of gameplay elements when it's still the manual to an English-language game. I feel bad for people who were actually depending on the French instructions to learn how to play...
