AvPGalaxy had the opportunity to interview members of Rebellion late last week about their upcoming Aliens Vs Predator revival due out later this year. While there's a lot of interesting stuff in the interview for fans of the films and game, the best news comes from the revelation that there will be a demo for the title prior to its release.


And because I know our members would kill me if I didn't ask: When will we be seeing a demo?
Alex Moore – There will be a demo...That's all we can say. [laughs]


We would have liked more elaboration on a release date for the demo (or the game), but we'll take what we can get. Also breaking today was video of Obsidian's now canceled Aliens RPG title. The title was killed last year by publisher SEGA after numerous delays (SEGA also suspended funding on Gearbox's Colonial Marines title pending commercial reception for AVP), but assets have been leaking here and there online since then. The video in question showed a game that bears more than a passing resemblance to Mass Effect in its camera placement and its apparent shooter-lite mechanics. Unfortunately, as of this writing, the video has been removed after a copyright claim from SEGA of America.
