The next baseball Mario just released yesterday in the US. Here is a link to the Gamestop overview. |

Haha have you seen the commercial where the kids are talking about it in sign language and then the teachers like, "Hey!" "Don't waste a Fire Swing on a Yoshi rainbow throw." Anyways I like Mario sports games and i'm thinking about getting it. i really hope they do better than Wii sports Baseball IMO it got really boring. |

Yes. Wii Sports doesn't seem like it was as successful as it could have been. The first game to incorporate motion control and the ability to use your Mii's made the game very unique though, only to be overrun by many other unsuccessful copies of the game. |

Well I definitely think it's the best Wii game I've played so far that used motion control exclusively. Have you heard about that new motion control up-grade? I think it's going to make a BIG difference in lots of motion controlled games and Wii Sports spin-offs. |

He is talking about Wii Motion Plus, I had it in my E3 thread before. Basically everything you do with the Wiimote, it responds on the tv screen. For example, Cammy showed an example of this by playing frisbee with a dog on Wii Sports Resort. No matter what way she swung her arm or moved the frisbee, it would respond and show. it's called 1 to 1 recognition or something. I got Mario Super Sluggers yesterday, and to tell you the truth, I am a little dissapointed. The challenge mode was really simplified. Before in Mario Superstar Baseball, you would have to complete the challenge mode mulitple times with each captain and at different difficulty levels to obtain the star players. After playing for one day, I am pretty sure I have almost completed the challenge mode. Bascially you walk around and have to do these scout missions, which may be 'get an out' or 'hit a homerun'. I believe there are 60 or so to do. This new challenge mode is sort of fun, and has a charm to it, but after you finish it, and have unlocked all of the characters and stadiums and minigames, I am pretty sure you are done. All that is left is to play in Exhibition Mode. I strongly believe that Nintendo has 'dummed' this game down, to appeal to the casual gamers. They are really emphasizing 'playing baseball' in exhibition mode, and leaving challenge mode as a 'unlock everybody and don't come back to this section because there is nothing else to do. The only time you actually play baseball in challenge mode is when you face Bowser. Playing the game is loads of fun. It is tricky at first because you have to choose whether you play with or without nunchuk (you can switch back and forth during the game if you want). I always play with nunchuk, just because you can do more, such as steal a base; however, I really have an issue with trying to bat and holding the nunchuk in my other hand....really bothers me. Graphics look great, cheery music, great social game. I would still recommend picking it up. |

One last point, there was supposed to be Wi-Fi, but they took it out...I think that may have killed it, just like in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. |

That's a little discouraging. I may, or may not get it, depending on how much money I have. The nun chuck thing sounds very annoying, do you have to go through a menu? Or can you just unplug it? |

Just unplug it, and when you're on your next batter either batting or pitching a popup comes and you just click okay. Yes my description did sound a little harsh, however playing in Exhibition Mode IS a lot of fun, I must stress that. |

I believe this to be the most ridiculous part about the Nintendo Wii. What is the point in making games that don't respond to your exact (or at least close to exact) movements? Anyway, SCEPTILE_4_EVER, you should expand your post and write a review. i think it will help some people. |
