Aspiring, at my age? I know what you're thinking, "he's hopeless." It's just not true, I've had a stunning "2" comments on my blog, which I've had a little over a year now. Now you're thinking, "that says it all." It's still not true, "I" believe I have talent, the struggle is getting others to see that! You're thinking with insistence now, "maybe you just need to accept that you don't have talent." You're thinking is never correct, I'm sorry, but you're just like everyone else when you think things like this. I want to know... Does any other "Aspiring Talent" go through this? No one even gives me a chance these days, they're not interested in my talent, or what I have to say. I "have" no opinion, I only receive them from others. It's really unfair, I see these people with less talent than me having these extraordinary followings and careers built off that. I'm lost somewhere in the midst, having a more exceptional talent, and everyone's too busy raving about what's "popular" to notice my gift. I'm speaking very honestly, if not arrogantly, because I have been forced to be my only fan. I'm deeply doubtful, which is in fact one of my screennames on an Art site... now you're thinking it's the image I'm throwing at people, it really isn't. I'm just as "whatever" as anyone else! I just don't get what they're doing right that I'm not doing. The ol' "comment for comments" thing gets old and usually doesn't receive you anything but a "thanks for kissing my ass like everyone else, I know I'm great" attitude from the person you complimented. It's a pain to be talentedly talentless. I'll accept whatever advice you're going to want to give, and whatever criticsm you can't hold back, and whatever else. But I won't be accepting any "I know exactly what you're going through because you are me years ago and this is what I did to change it all!" because my fate just won't allow a helpful answer. I tip my hat to you for reading what you've read of this, and adieu. |

Revealing my talent wasn't the point of writing this. |

If you're as talented as you believe you are, let's see it. |

No! That would defeat the purpose. I want unbiased opinions, what a person would do if it were them, knowing they're talented and not knowing how to get the recognition/acknowledgement they seek. |

Obviously if you can't give a sample of your work, or even say what it is you do well (in your opinion) than you know it's only good to your eyes. You can't think something's gold just because it's something you created, that is biased! |

It's never too late to aspire to something. Never let anyone else influence you you should not be doing something you have a passion for. Passion is the most important, above talent, the two together reign supreme over one's who have just one or the other. I like the way you chose to keep your talent hidden, very mysterious, keeps an audience curious. You have me looking forward to when you do decide to unveil this talent. I will be keeping my eye out for this. In the meantime, keep being the bigger person, eventually credit will be paid where credit is due. |

To be given a chance, one must give others a chance. You can't gain recognition for something by throwing it in peoples faces saying you're better than them. The best thing for you to do is continue to improve your talent, and try different ways of promoting yourself. You may never get the regonition you're after, that's life, but if your stuff is out there, and it's genuinely good, someone will take notice. |
