| Leo is a tall, muscular male teenager, looking just like a rather well build college football player. With a clear Caucasian ethnicity, as well as a rather relaxed air, one would have a hard time guessing Leo is an evotelluric without seeing him display his ability. True to his ethnicity his skin burns easily under the sun, he could be considered hairy, although barely noticeable to sight due to the fair color of his body hair. | [/tab][tab=Face]His hair is ashen blond, straight, typically cut rather short and either spiked up or in a [faux mohawk; his eyes are also true to his ethnicity, being a light blue-green hue and almond shaped.
His facial features are considerably soft, yet definitely masculine, giving him a youthful appearance, with a general face shape slightly rectangular, typically cleanly shaved.[/tab][tab=Markings]There's a large scar crossing Leo's chest from his left shoulder to his right side, a mark left by a fight with Gina. Typically Leo has a henna tattoo on his back, more often than not of lions or tigers.[/tab][tab=Style]Leo can be often found wearing his Evo-lenses, sometimes a straw cowboy hat, specially when planning to spend the day outdoors given how his skin burns easily. He also usually wears a leather vest unless it's really cold, in which case he wears a leather bomber jacket, both with a button up shirt, or sleeveless shirts under them.
He also wears leather chaps and jeans specially when going for a ride on horseback or motorcycle. When allowed to carry openly, he wears a gun belt and holster, or a belt and concealed holster when required to carry concealed.
His ATRF boots sometimes are equiped with steel spurs to horseback ride. He also wears shooting gloves, specially when training or hunting, or expecting to fight.

The posters of sports, animals, series and singers speak of his diverse likes.
The wall dedicated to his firearms collection, shared by a bookshelf and trophy shelf speaks of his pride in his skills, his enthusiasm for shooting sports, and his desire to appear as a confident, strong, and somewhat intimidating person. The shelf within his walk in closet holding a collection of stuffed animals compliments this by adding that although having that rough, proud exterior, he has a soft inside.
The pictures of his family on his desk and bedside table show how he wants to keep them close, and finds rest by their side, now joined with a picture of Calvin, and pictures of his friends. In general, Leo is very optimistic, trusting things will go just right and that with some work everything is possible.[/tab][tab=Philosophy]"Get back on yer horse, don't back down, don't give up, and do the best you can with the hand you're dealt."
Perseverance and hard work are the keys to a happy life, so thinks Leo, unafraid of getting his hands (and everything else) dirty to see things done right. He's outgoing and will most likely initiate a conversation just for the sake of knowing more people.
He's overwhelmingly optimistic, thinking things will go well naturally, and thinking the best of those around himself. He trust others easily, but once his trust is lost, recovering it might be close to impossible.
He is a fierce protector of his loved ones, specially of Jacey and Calvin, so while threatening him won't have a big effect on the way he fights (or doesn't fight back rather) threatening someone he cares for will make him fight, and do whatever he has to do to ensure the safety of his loved ones.[/tab][tab=Insecurities]His biggest fear is to lose his loved ones, his family taking a very important place in his life. Leo fears to drown, given that from all the sports he has never been too good of a swimmer, this fear however has been reduced by his tiger form, which loves water and swimming in a river.
He is afraid of causing unnecessary pain, thus while hunting striving for clean kills, and when fighting striving for swift KOs or tiring his opponent with the least possible harm.[/tab][tab=Intellect]Life sciences, a bit of history, laws, physics and literature, Leo can be seen reading in his free times almost as often as he can be found shooting or playing football. He's not your conventional jock or farmhand, he's smart, and just as he cares for his looks, he cares for his mind.
He does love crafts, be it leatherwork, woodwork, metalworking, gunsmithing... If he can get a hold of the right tools, he'll give it a try. On the other hand, Leo doesn't likes maths at all, and can go as far as paying for someone else to do his homework, or at least part of it.
Given his friendship with Bohdan and the helicopter ride he got, Leo discovered another thing he likes... Flying. Learning to fly some machine, or to fly by himself has become an interest and goal for him.[/tab][/tabs] |

[sbar=100%,200px,0px]Like many stories in Las Vegas, this one begins with something a bit unexpected... Serena Page and Lancelot Baret, two students at their prom... Who'd imagine she'd end pregnant? Well, certainly neither did, just as certainly neither expected them to be twins.
Serena didn't want the responsibility of the kids, but Lance, Lance sure wanted the babies, they were after all his responsibility, and with full custody gained without even needing to ask for it, the nineteen years old young father began his struggle to raise both Jacey and Leonard, his two babies, and heaven's biggest blessing... After all, Serena didn't know Lance was gay, a gay that with enough alcohol had a straight side.
Born and grown up in Las Vegas, Nevada, Leonard was a rather happy child even if his biological mother was never anywhere to be seen. His father was more than enough for him, a honest man, a construction worker by day and a piano professor to add some cash to their income.
When he was four, his dad jumped out of the closet... Of course this was something that Leo didn't fully comprehend, to him the whole lot about relationships was still a mystery, he didn't even go through the point of girls having cooties so yeah, he was unaware of the meaning of this.
His grandparents didn't look terribly happy with this though, but soon enough came to accept the fact, given how they already had grandchildren, and two not just one. Close to this time Lance began to date Michael Kersey, or Uncle Shiny as the twins would call him because of his habit of shaving off all his hair.
What Leo saw was that his dad was happy, a very happy person, and so was Michael, so when they told the twins that Michael would be their father too, Leo was very happy... Not only because Lance was so happy, or because he'd have another dad, no... Leo and Michael got along terrifyingly well.
Difference and diversity, change and challenges were constants in Leo's life, he was taught to understand differences and diversity as something good, to embrace change and adapt, and to take challenges with a cold head and a fierce determination to overcome them.
Add to this the education, Foothills Montessori Private School was a place Leo would never forget, it allowed him to explore, to discover what he liked and what he didn't, with what he was good and what he wasn't, and of course gave him challenges to overcome day by day. Of course the school was expensive, even Leo noticed that, but well, Papa Mike was a rather successful lawyer and of course this meant more money to the house.
Leo wasn't of course always shining in the school... Without a challenge in front of him, he had a hard time finding the will to do homework, and work in general... Of course he never dropped his grades in P.E... It was hard to believe such a young kid had so much vitality and endurance, and persistence... If he couldn't do it at first, it was just a matter of time before Leo surprised his professors by trying it over and over again, and eventually succeeding.
To Leo, the biggest pleasure wasn't in grades, it was in the recognition he'd get from others whenever he overcame a challenge... Grades were his sister's territory, and he knew that as long as he did decently well, she too would be happy.
Mike and his family also had a ranch, a property inherited near Moapa Town and a place where they'd often go for summer vacations, a place Leo absolutely loved for the calm and yet the freedom the two kids had. It was here where Leo learned a lot of his skills, and where he got an initial interest in both rodeos and firearms, which Mike's family owned.
It wasn't until a certainly drastic day when the twins were eleven years old, with Jacey dragging Leo from store to store on her weekly shopping sprees at the outdoor mall, with Leo carrying bags and Jacey adding more for him to carry... When they were heading back to the car where their parents were waiting, a man stepped out of an alley, picked Jacey up, and sprinted in the other direction. Leo... He dropped the bags due to the sudden event, however he was helpless, shouting for help while frozen by fear.
Hadn't that cop been there, Jacey would have been gone... Several years later Leo would get to know she was going to be sold as a slave... Nonetheless in the moment it didn't just horrify him, it made him determined that this would never, ever happen again. He didn't want to be only observing how Jacey was taken away from him, unable to do anything, so he begged, and begged as much as he could, compromising everything he could imagine, until his fathers agreed to let him learn how to use firearms for personal defense... After all, he was already familiar with shooting airguns for fun, and hunting every now and then along his uncle, this however was different, he wanted and took the compromise of learning how to defend himself and his sister with a gun.
While Jacey's hobbies were diverse and focused mostly on the arts, Leo was more focused on the sports, much more focused on the sports, and sometimes in sciences, biology being his preferred subject among the sciences, though he never shone academically, being more of an average student.
The Evo's Dawn was something that seemed a huge lie, it was something Leo just couldn't believe, specially because Las Vegas seemed rather... untouched by the sudden waves of violence. Of course with the shows the city had, it was hard to spot an Evo or actual Magi, and hotels and Casinos were quick to cover and take for them the gifted of the city that could bring them more money.
It seemed however neither Leo nor Jacey were among the special kids, and their lives just continued... This is until a day, while eating, Jacey displayed a power... She felt pain from lies. This fact made the already protective and caring Leo be even more caring and more protective of his sister, he didn't care if she was different, neither the police, nor the soldiers, nor those bigots hunting down the different kids would touch Jacey, not without going through Leo.
Leo of course didn't imagine he'd too be an Evo, this however came to light on a football game, his job was to block for the halfback and the quarterback, him being a fullback, what with him being heavier than his sister, who was playing as a halfback. He noticed his ability when things suddenly began to seem slower, not so much as to say the world was incredibly slow, but enough for him to notice it... Needless to say with his newfound speed they had an awesome season that year.
During his time in the football team, Leo met a guy by the name of James... Darn if both didn't argue often, Leo was a natural leader and with his ability had gained the star of the team position... And James being as heavy and strong as he was, had gained a position very similar to Leo's.
Needless to say, the tension eventually ended with both fighting, a fight in the locker room that required team and professors to break up. It was however with this fight that James and Leo got to respect and understand the other much better, James never having encountered someone that wouldn't back away when faced with what was clearly a lost fight, and Leo having never met someone that could actually fight so darn well.
Their lives continued rather normal, neither of their abilities was strong enough to be really notorious, but this doesn't means things didn't get bad for others. Walking back from training, Leo got to see a band of anti-evos assaulting and killing the brother of a friend... This event wasn't just shocking on the surface, the use of a flash-bang grenade by the assassins left Leo's hearing damaged, and him coming to accept it as a punishment for not having fought to defend the kid and instead having run away.
Jacey also discovered another ability... Her gaze could get people to do things, and with that... Well, with that they began slipping in and out of casinos, while Leo, using his hyper-dexterity, would cheat every now and then to win some money from the cards.
They did get away with these small crimes, until their ages was discovered, and they got locked waiting to get bailed out... While Leo was much more prudent and careful from there on, Jacey... Continued loving adventure even more than her brother, and that was to say plenty given the boy wouldn't be afraid of mounting a bronco or a bull.
While Jacey had a first stable relationship, Leo remained single... For quite a long while. Leo and Evan... Well, Leo never got along with Jacey's boyfriend, but the cowboy respected the guy, though being the protective brother he was, he was... Jealous that suddenly the attention that had always been for him was now poured on another guy.
Of course when Evan broke Jacey's heart, Leo wanted to break the guy's nose, and perhaps more, and he'd probably had done it hadn't Jacey fallen asleep on his chest while he petted her head and swore to her everything would be fine... Needless to say, Evan was smart enough to not cross Leo's path, or James' path for that matter, or in general, the football's team path, messing with Leo's sister was messing with one of the most liked girls in the school.
As they turned sixteen, Leo and Jacey were given their first cars, a jeep wrangler, with Jacey's being a bright yellow, and Leo's a deep rich green... Needless to say, both found a new hobby racing their jeeps out in the desert. this of course got them in troubles with both the cops and their parents. The several speeding tickets and unlawful racing was in the end what decided that both Jacey and Leo needed to face a stronger discipline, plus, Japan was a safer place now, so both were sent there.[/sbar] |

Jacey and Leo shared something similar even before Evo’s Dawn – able to tell if the other was in trouble. Evo’s Dawn merely strengthened the already present presence. The two can tell if the other is in pain and the general direction they’re in while under 1 mile. The knowledge of pain isn’t the experience of it. If Jacey is in pain Leo will be aware of it but he won’t actually feel it himself. Distance plays into this link. The farther away the fainter the feeling. All comprehension would cease if they were farther than 25 miles apart, approximately the distance from one side of New York to the other. Even passing the 15-mile mark makes a distinct difference, the knowledge becoming more of a vague sensation than true knowing.[/sbar][/tab][tab=Hyperdexterity][dv=width:100%; max-height:200px; overflow:auto;] Physiology Leo's nervous system is adapted to work with less voltage, starting pulses faster than an average human, making him process information much faster than an average human and being the base for reaching much higher speeds.
This is coupled with an "aura skin", a product of Regulus union with him, that absorbs the damage Leo would otherwise suffer from moving at these extreme speeds, however this means each hit has the same force as if he was moving at average speed, and this doesn't absorb the damage others would do to him, so if he's hit, he's hit with the whole force behind the attack. It also makes healing Leo through special abilities and spells take 30 times longer, so any healer requires much longer to successfully heal his wounds.
Additionally, injuries deep enough to cause muscle damage can incapacitate a whole limb from using the top speed or risk aggravate the wound to the point where several weeks are needed to heal, making Leo unable to use his abilities during this healing time.
His cells are packed with many more mitochondria to accelerate the energy production. This has two effects, first and foremost when he uses his higher speed, he consumed that much more energy, thus requiring to eat more times per day.
The other consequence is that his body is affected that much faster by poisons in general, since his body incorporates them that much faster into the metabolic cycles. This means that Leo's condition turns severe very fast, although once he receives an antidote he recovers equally faster. Speed This allows Leo to perform any action he has trained, as well as his reaction speed, 30 times faster than a human being.
Leo's top speed is accessible to him almost instantaneously, taking him about 0.2 seconds to reach it. His processing speed is always at the top speed, hence why it'd take him such a short time to reach it.
Because of his way faster reaction speed coupled with reflexes, Leo could out of instinct dodge most subsonic moving objects without major trouble, and while he'd get into feints easier, he'd also react to get out of them faster, thus feinting him is possible but complicated.
If Leo was to duel Wild West style, he'd process the draw command much faster, and thus start the process almost as soon as the draw command is given, then draw, aim and shoot much sooner, giving him the first shot against an average human, and possibly perform several follow up shots before the other could finish its draw.
Using his top speed Leo is capable of hitting faster however the aura skin dampens the force back to normal ranges, meaning there is no additional force behind his blows even though they are incredibly hard to dodge because of their sheer speed. Endurance Leo is capable of boosting his speed to the top as many times as he wants so long he spends no more than 12 hours in top speed. He is capable of enduring the consequences of most of his trained actions at top speed, such as shooting faster, or running faster, as if he was moving at an average human top speed.
Full impacts such as slamming at top speed aren't entirely safe, and while Leo can certainly endure them, large bruises and perhaps even internal damage can be produced pending on the shape and hardness of the material he impacts on.
Untrained actions can be performed at half the full speed Leo can achieve, however due to their improvised nature and the lack of experience, a mistake produces damage as if he had used his full speed, or even worse, so for example, if Leo doesn't have a proper punching technique, his hand will sustain damage as if he had thrown a number of punches with that same increased force without technique, possibly destroying his hand in said process.
Substances with higher density than air force Leo to slow down, in an approximate proportion to the difference of densities, with water cutting his speed to 1/30th, as well as the time he could perform any activity down to a half while partially submerged.

[/dv][/tab][tab=Amulet of the Wild][sbar=100%,200px,0]Picture The events with Scorpio and it's dimension caused Leo's amulet to change, becoming from a brass pendant with a liger's head roaring, with a pair of wings behind it, to a silver pendant with the head of a tiger, held by a silver chain.
The amulet holds an interesting set of enchantments that make it indestructible for all means and also impossible to remove once worn by its new owner, when the wearer desires so, the amulet transforms the wearer's body into that of a tiger.
Another interesting effect of the pendant is that his forms can talk as if human, with his child voice while in the kitten form, and his actual voice when in the adult form.
Transforming into either form or back takes an astonishingly short amount of time, true to Leo's tendency for speed, requiring him at most 1 second in calm, and under stress up to 3. Leo can keep the form for 12 hours and requires 10 seconds before transforming again after he returns to human form.
The spell also imposes certain conditions on Leo, being unable to start an unprovoked attack on someone that pleads for mercy or has no way to defend itself against him; if he is in a fight, he is forced to side with whoever is at disadvantage or plain stop fighting completely. Darkness and spiritual based attacks hurts Leo twice as much as they would on an average being.
Progressing more with the merging process started by Silver's Realm energy, Leo's tiger forms have began to turn hyper-dexterous, in essence gaining all the benefits and downsides from Leo's evotelluric ability.
Cub Form PictureThe change in the amulet turned the comparatively small liger cub into what clearly is a cub of a White Siberian Tiger, making him a tad bigger, reaching approximately the 50 centimeters in height, close to 110 centimeters in length, and weighting approximately 38 kilograms. With the changes brought, Leo became fairly more dexterous, able to climb trees and even run at human speeds. Strength wise, his bite is powerful enough to break dry bones, however it's barely enough to cause fissures on average human ones. The fangs can hurt and tear away meat, however require repetitive bites to cause serious damage. The claws can produce wounds of a considerable depth, but can't pierce through more than a couple of layers of clothing due to their shape and relatively low sharpness. Noteworthy is that while in this cub form, Leo's mentality shifts to fit the portrayed age, being approximately the mentality of a 9-10 years old child. Adult Form PictureWhile still possible to reach adult form like previously, through the kiss of someone on his snout and being held by a chain, Leo no longer needs this to reach the adult form, being able to will himself into this form from human or cub form. In this adult form, Leo's mind is back to his human age, he weights about 330 kilograms and is about 3.6 meters from snout to tip of the tail, and about 1.5 meters from paw to shoulder. In this form Leo can break an adult's arm with a bite without much problem, and his fangs allow him to shred meat efficiently. The claws are fairly long and sharp, however unable to pierce more than about 4 layers of clothes, they still allow him to climb on trees. Speed wise, Leo can reach up to 35 MPH, and keep this speed for about 30 seconds with reasonable balance and ability to turn around. Trotting for the Siberian White Tiger is moving at about 15 MPH, approximately the run speed of a human being, and can keep this rhythm for quite a while, between an hour and an hour and a half. Jumping, Leo can reach about 4 meters in height approximately, and displace about 6 on a horizontal jump. Senses-wise tigers have exceptional hearing, which they use to locate prey in dense cover, able to hear infra (.2 kHz VS .02 kHz of humans, all Subwoofer systems have this frequency) and ultrasound (65 kHz VS 20 kHz of humans, some ultrasonic pests repellents reach these frequencies), as well as noises as soft as 5 dB with some background noise. Of course loud noises hurt him more. Tigers also have good vision, both during the day and at night. During the day, a tiger's sight is about the same as a human's, though its ability to see detail is not as good. At night, when a tiger usually hunts, its sight is six times better than a human. Tigers have a cluster of cone receptor cells in each retina indicating they have some color vision. Tigers have a well-developed sense of smell, however, it's rarely used for hunting. Tigers also have a well-developed sense of touch, they have tactile sensory hairs called whiskers on their cheeks, above the eyes, and on the muzzle. The whiskers, especially those on the muzzle, are used to feel for objects in the environment. Awakened Regulus Because of the tests he endured when going to rescue Silver, and the energies that impregnated his amulet there, Leo has reached a higher level of connection with the spirit of his amulet, Regulus. In essence, this synchronization allows Leo to swap parts of his human body with parts of his tiger body, or in the case they don't exist in equivalent on a human body, such as the tail, they can grow.
The time it takes Leo to acquire such parts is short, at most taking 3 seconds during stress, and about 1 second in calm. The parts do not earn him anything he wouldn't earn in his transformed state except the use of his hyper-dexterity, which preserves Leo's high density and high speeds.
The time Leo can keep the parts out is variable, with things like his tail, fur on the skin, eyes or slit pupils, ears and such features that are mostly a change in looks but not in functionality being able to stay for undefined periods of time, while things like his claws, fangs and so on that force a change in the inner dynamics of the body being limited to at most 15 minutes.
Although he can momentarily improve certain physical attributes with this (Such as his senses through an inner change) the need of a particular configuration for his muscle tissue and density of his bones make it impossible for him to achieve higher strength or agility, nonetheless he can get more nimble, able to contort his body to positions only available to felines.
While he can possibly change most of his body into a tiger through the use of this ability, Leo is forced to preserve an anthropomorphic body frame, making his most similar to tiger form what would look like a weretiger.
While a part of him is replaced, Leo is bound by Regulus' code; being unable to start an unprovoked attack on someone that pleads for mercy or has no way to defend itself against him; if he is in a fight, he is forced to side with whoever is at disadvantage or plain stop fighting completely. Darkness and spiritual based attacks hurts Leo twice as much as they would on an average being.[/sbar] [/tab][tab=Regulus Mind][sbar=100%,200px,0]The spirit that inhabits the Amulet of Wilderness grants protection to Leo from mental attacks that require a foreign mind interacting with Leo's mind. This is uncontrolled by Leo, since the spirit has free will, and thus any mind is subjected to this block, however those that constantly try and that share a strong bond with Leo have the chance of getting through after several times.
It's important to underline that this protects the abstract entity called mind, thus messing with Leo's memories, feelings, and even reasoning and other such by messing with the electrochemistry of the brain rather than interacting mind to mind has no problem with Regulus.
Those that don't go through encounter Regulus, a lion covered in flames, blocking the way in a literal firewall. Those that insist in staying or going through find themselves getting the sensation of burning, and if they lack a body (ghost and such beings) they actually suffer second degree burns.
On the other hand, when the defense is successful Leo suffers a rather intense fever, knocking him unconscious for whatever the mental attack lasts plus 5 minutes, requiring additionally attention to control the fever.
Going through is still possible for those that have the determination and can remain focused even with the sensation of the burns, or those whose proficiency is superior to the proficiency of this power, additionally fast attacks have smaller odds of encountering Regulus, with attacks performed under 5 seconds being impossible to be stopped.[/sbar][/tab][/tabs] |

Even though he has a dominant right eye and hand, Leo has managed a form of ambidexterity that allows him to shoot with his left hand and aim with his left eye just as proficiently as with his right equivalents. Leo can be both a fearsome gunfighter and a great trick shooter due to his array of polished skills, ranging from shooting coins and aiming over his shoulder with the use of a mirror, to drawing and shooting at blinding speeds with very good accuracy, to typical gun spinning. As he continues to practice with firearms in general without hearing protection, Leo's hearing worsens, with the possibility of losing it someday. Standing still Leo can shoot very accurately up to 10 meters away, with shot groups of about 1.3 centimeters within this range, growing towards a meter in diameter at 110 meters in distance after which he relies on luck to hit. In more mundane terms, he'd be able to hit a 1 USD cent coin from 10 meters without problem. Moving reduces this accuracy, making the shot groups grow to 2 centimeters, and reducing his limit to 80 meters when only he or his target move, and 60 meters when both move. This of course assuming simple, linear movements, these may be even more reduced if the movements are faster than his perception or erratic. [/fbox] While fully capable of shooting from the hip, his range is further reduced by about 10 meters, same approximate reduction from any position where he points and shoots. If he wanted, Leo could rival or match some of the current fast shooting records, achieving a top speed of about 3 rounds per second, and reloads slightly under a second, while taking aim typically takes Leo about 0.2 seconds. In a fight however, particularly with movement and at the limits of his range, his aiming time can increase to about 10 seconds, and may grow even more in order to compensate for the movement of the target, taking Leo about 7 seconds more to lead the target at the very least. Even then there's no guarantee that he'll be hitting anything under these conditions. His reloading time however doesn't increase, allowing him to shoot almost uninterrupted, this however might be detrimental for his health, particularly if he already has sustained some moderate injury. While able to shoot about 152 rounds during a single gunfight, doing such a thing would leave Leo's hands very numb, and his wrists very tired, making it impossible to continue fighting, not just shooting. Given the nature of the weapon, Leo can only carry it within his bag of holding or in the rare case he's allowed in a leather scabbard on his back, and while having a dominant right eye and hand, he is capable of shooting it with equal accuracy using his left hand and eye. He's also able to perform several tricks when shooting such as hitting the head of a nail several meters away, however these feats require time and a relaxed environment, not suited for a fight. While close quarter combat is possible using a rifle, Leo isn't trained to fight in that way. As he continues to practice with firearms in general without hearing protection, Leo's hearing worsens, with the possibility of losing it someday. Shooting a rifle requires Leo to be as still as possible, his accuracy depending in a large majority of this. With just the iron sights, Leo is able to shoot very accurately up to 30 meters away, keeping a shot group of about 14 centimeters in diameter, with his limit being at 150 meters after which he relies on luck to hit. In more mundane terms he'd be able to hit a standard CD from 30 meters without problem. A moving target reduces this range towards something close to 130 meters maximum and his best accuracy range to 25 meters, making him able to shoot for example a flung CD at 25 meters with a good deal of trouble, but can still manage it. Without a scope aiming takes between 10 seconds and 1 minute, pending on the conditions, these are minimums however, taking more time is possible. With a scope Leo's range is increased to at most 250 meters, being rather accurate and keeping the same group size throughout the range, however the time it takes him to adjust the scope and aim is considerably longer than using the iron sights, taking about 1-5 minutes pending on how favorable the conditions are, with 1 minute at a range, and 5 minutes on the most adverse conditions while still possible to shoot. In both cases, once Leo has acquired his target and shot once, a follow up shot takes between 2 and 10 seconds, once more pending on the conditions. In more mundane terms, if Leo was using a scope, he'd be able to shoot a flung CD at 250 meters with plenty of difficulty but still manage it, and if flung at a sufficient height do a follow up shot to one of the pieces left. When fighting, Leo needs space to be able to work the whip, with a danger zone between the 12 feet and the 9 feet. Anything further away is unreachable without Leo moving around, and anything closer makes the impacts much less strong, although it can still be painful. An opponent that gets closer forces Leo to either switching weapons, techniques, or to run to recover the distance lost. While quite accurate, Leo still is learning the proper technique and getting used to the whip, thus he's still prone to hitting non-intended targets. With distance, Leo can use the whip to wrap or cut someone, and while the wrapping isn't nearly as strong as a lasso, it's still strong enough to pull someone a couple of feet or move them around lightly. Ideally, Leo can fight for about 15 minutes without stopping, and taking a rest proportional to the activity level, with the absolute minimum being 15 minutes, allows Leo to keep fighting. This training is thought to fight just one opponent, and while it's possible to deal with more during the same fight, it's impossible to deal with more than one at once. [/fbox] [12]This skill allows Leo to make and use a lasso proficiently for roping, such as cattle or objects, as well as to show off and assist his fighting skills. Of course, part of this skill is being able to make a lasso, something that Leo can do without much trouble given a good rope and a couple of minutes if it's tangled. His knot tends to be reasonably good, although the faster he does it, the weaker it turns to be. That aside, he depends on the quality of the rope provided as one would expect. On the skill in itself, Leo is fairly accurate when it comes to throwing the lasso, as long as the range isn't longer than 3 meters. It takes Leo about 3 minutes to acquire accuracy with the rope, but once started, Leo can keep going for several hours, provided breaks to rest of course. While on movement, Leo's not as accurate as while static, and requires more time to get accurate, however just as when standing he can keep going for long after he has started. Roping requires the use of both hands, which of course implies he's unable to use his firearm simultaneously, however he's still able to use his body to fight back. Using this skill against a person is possible, however the odds of lassoing them are reduced as they can typically dodge a lasso, requiring a surprise element or a couple of attempts to be successful. Once trapped however, it's hard to free oneself without getting hurt, and the reduced movement as well as the possibly compromised balance make it far easier for Leo to wrestle and further tie up those already roped. [/fbox] [6]Leo is a good driver, able to get a hold on most any commercial vehicle and even some heavy transport ones, in resume, most any 2 and 4 wheeled on land vehicle. While he can't pull of the most awesome stunts, Leo can do some "basic" tricks such as wheelies on a bike or handbrake turns on cars. Of course these stunts are limited to on road, off road demands lower speeds and more care. Bad weather, poor road conditions and such aren't really terrible for Leo, however they force him to lower speeds and to not try even basic tricks. This training also allows Leo to fix minor issues such as a flat tire or overheating motor, nothing that any average driver can't do thus he still is far from a mechanic professional. An extension of Leo's driving skills, Combat driving allows him to keep his shooting skills while fighting from one vehicle in movement to another, emphasizing the speed and agility needing to avoid collisions and to keep up with other vehicles in movement. With this training, Leo is able to shoot from one vehicle to another and keep a semblance of accuracy, with him being in front preserving his natural accuracy, being behind lowering his accuracy by 20%, and side to side reducing about 30%. Of course these are just estimates and minimums considering the speeds and trajectories as constants and equal to Leo's, meaning the accuracy lost can be more, but not less, pending on several factors such as terrain, ability of the other driver, and so on. This training also allows Leo to pull more stunts while driving, to avoid getting hit, or to hit other vehicles without hurting himself in the process, and in worst case scenario prepares him to endure a rough spinning trip, or a collision of some kind, to reduce the damage done to himself in such cases. [/fbox]Upon Calvin's request, Leo has upgraded his Elemental Cloth set with his shed skin in order to provide much more protection. This protection is the rough equivalent of a II-A bulletproof vest, making Class C rounds cause bruises, Class B rounds and small shotshells may fissure bones and produce large bruises, however neither of these will pierce the armor. Rifle rounds, Class S and A handgun rounds, armor piercing rounds and shotgun slugs or large shotshells aren't stopped however, and at best the vest will slow them down enough so they don't produce an exit wound. While the armor can recover of damage, it can be broken, and the more damage sustained the more likely it is to fail, with 3 Class B shots or small shotshells or 6 Class C rounds within a 7.5 centimeters grouping diameter typically being enough to break it. Stabs and arrows still penetrate the armor, however their force will of course be reduced and thus the wound they inflict will be reduced in depth. Slashes on the other hand are considerably hindered by the armor due to its several compact layers. This protection however only applies to the vest and chaps area, anything else is too small to be filled with Calvin's residual skin. The vest once damaged will take 24 hours to recover, during this recovery time it can be worn but will grant no protection additional to the protection it'd offer as a typical clothe whatsoever. The Skills In short words, Leo can ride on the back of a horse without much difficulty, even while on high speeds, or with harsh terrains, or bareback, and can perform some stunts such as standing on the back of a horse and shooting while keeping a semblance of accuracy. Leo knows how to keep the control over a horse, how to prepare it for a ride, and the care and feeding of the animal, recognizing breed and quality as well as common illnesses.
This training is best suited for pleasure riding, against equestrian sports performed inside of an arena, derived mostly from the informal riding he got during his summer vacations back in the states.
Because of the focus required, Leo can't use any of the tricks he could perform on top of a horse while affronting any kind of duress, and thus isn't suited for any fight.
He can, with the natural added difficulty and thus harder time hitting his mark, lasso something proficiently from the back of a horse, and use the animal's power as well as his own strength to bring down whatever he traps, within reason of course.
This skill is also linked to herding, leading, controlling and directing cattle in a contained and orderly herd, this skill also uses his lassoing skills, as well as his marksmanship and quick draw to preserve the order of the cattle and defend it.
Added to his former skills, this training adds the knowledge and some practice on keeping the animals calm, basic cares such as cleaning and feeding, as well as simple medicine to treat wounds and to recognize illness. He also knows and has a decent experience into making and mending fences out of wood and rope or wire.
Branding is also covered by this training, allowing Leo to tether, control and mark cattle and horses. A brand is a mark burned, frozen, dyed or tattooed on the skin to identify and show ownership of an animal - typically used on horses and cattle, or the placement of a microchip or tag on the ear of the animal.
This gives Leo knowledge on the places that the animals feel less or more pain, as well as the process of putting a tag on an animal, or freeze branding it. While in theory Leo can hot-brand an animal, in practice he has never done such.
This also allows Leo to effectively tie down and wrestle animals for the branding, requiring nothing but a rope and being in good physical conditions. Of course, wrestling cattle down can in theory be applied to wrestle down a human, but in practice it's far more complicated, thus giving Leo no major advantage than what he'd naturally have in a fight.
Considering Leo's interest in sports in general, as well as the prior skills, it's not surprising to know he has partaken in some rodeos, particularly those hosted by the NHSRA at Nevada.
While not on the level of a professional, Leo can certainly give many other participants of his age a run for their money and possibly come out victorious in a good day, particularly in the Cutting Horse, Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding and Bull Riding events. As one might notice, all these events are related either to horseback riding, herding, or balance, skills on which Leo excels naturally.
The application of these skills outside a rodeo are limited, however these kind of sports have left Leo's balance and grip slightly improved, making it harder to throw him down through sudden movements once he grabs a hold on a target, and of course allowing him to remain on a horse or other animal that is buckling uncontrollably, as well as dismounting without getting major injuries or risking terribly to be trampled. Athleticism As a football player and sportsman in general, Leo's physical condition is fairly good for a teen of his age, leading to having some peak elements that aid him in playing. Noteworthy is his weight lifting capability, able to squat about 350 lbs, bench press 250 lbs and deadlift about 435 lbs in sets of about 50 repetitions, which makes him able to tolerate having these weights for about 3 minutes before causing injury.
Leo has enough endurance to bear a football game from start to end, which translates to the daily life as bearing more hits that typically would knock a human out, and having a higher pain threshold that allows him to keep focused even when lightly injured. By lightly injured one should understand typical bruises, first degree burns, scrapes and so on.
Additionally he can sprint to about 18 MPH for up to 15 seconds, with the evident need to rest after. Running, he can endure about 14 MPH for up to 15 minutes straight, however this is with no additional weight, with the shoulder pads and so on, he can only endure about 7 minutes straight.
The consequence of leading such a life demanding his body to hit these speeds and weight lifting is the evident soreness and the damage to the tissues, which in turn results in a prolonged time healing injuries that affect the muscles, tendons and bones, making him require about double the time to recover. [/fbox]Through this skill, Leo augments his chances to survive when in the wilderness, typically requiring some tools such as a knife, a firearm, rope and so on, though the creation of simple tools such as an spear or a knife is possible. Leo can track, trap, fish or hunt animals to feed himself, find bodies of water nearby, and construct simple shelters out of barks, leaves or hides and ropes. He can also identify the most common edible plants and berries, though this isn't very trustworthy. Leo's traps take a good while to be set, and are designed for animals exclusively, so attempting to use these to trap a human will result most likely than not in failure. The traps aren't particularly strong either, pending on the materials he has available, as well as the environment to hide them. His experience allows him to survive for various months on some extreme weathers, particularly deserts, without much difficulty as long as he has the resources. He can also find his way back to a civilization and keep a straight line even in dense cover and with few landmarks. [/fbox] Leatherwork:Enables Leo to create and repair leather clothes, boots and other items made of leather, such as saddles, saddle bags, and tack and harness for horses. The quality of his works is good enough to be sold for a mild price and work reasonably well, though they still lack artistic value. Leo can work with most common leathers, however as long as similar to the leather of the animals known, he can most likely than not adapt his experience to work with strange leathers. Using this skill, given the materials and time, Leo can produce leather armors, either in the style of the middle age ones, or in a more modern style as biker gear, and even as bull riding gear. Of course to produce a single armor Leo can take up to a day, pending on the complexity, the materials and tools available to him, and the protection they offer isn't great against stabbing and piercing attacks, it is however fairly good against blunt attacks, absorbing the impact and distributing it over the whole surface, making punches, kicks and other such hits feel much softer, in exchange of knocking back the wearer of the armor with less effort. First Aid:Leo knows how to efficiently provide first aid for minor wounds, as well as for intoxication with common substances and specifically gunshot wounds as severe wounds given his knowledge with firearms. However to successfully aid, Leo needs proper equipment and to not be in the middle of a fight, due to the issue that this represents which takes away focus from the actually important task... Surviving said fight. Because of this, Leo's training is best suited for after the fight, or casual accidents. In essence, he knows how to stop a moderate bleeding wound, fix a fractured or dislocated bone, clean a burn wound, give cardio-respiratory resurrection and mouth to mouth, plus knowing some minor assistances to poisoning, such as the use of carbon and some other substances, as well as herbs, however he doesn't always carry such substances thus this is more theoretical than practical. These all however are only to the degree taught in a school, with as much practice... That being little to none. Cooking:While definitely not the best cook ever, Leo can prepare a meal from the very start, gathering plants and animals, cleaning, gutting, skinning and so on to prepare the raw ingredients for cooking. He can follow recipes as long as he has the tools, and can to some extent improvise to fix the lack of some simple tools. He also has a tendency to spice his food a tad too much. Azura Year 3 Uniforms This year's uniforms not only notate which school you attend, but also notate to the school staff which year you are. This unlocks a few things around the campus and in Fukuoka. [*]All purchases within the student store will be discounted 1 credit, though not to decrease below a minimum of 1 credit for any given item, even on discount. [*]Next is the ability to gift another player's character an item from the student store at half the base price of the item, rounded up. The minimum limit is 1 credit. [*]The ability to make one subforum for your property listing via the property system. [*]It's also rumored that the uniform will make you sparkle in the sunlight. This has not been verified. Azura Year 4 Uniform This year's uniforms not only notate which school you attend, but also notate to the school staff which year you are. In addition to the normal school uniforms, the Fourth Year Uniform also provides a host of special benefits to the students who've made it this far. Credit Transfer Limit Fourth Year Students can gift up to 6 credits as opposed to four. The same rules apply in regards to gifting credits between your own characters. Secondary PMP Students are eligible for a Second PMP to receive discounts based on the 2YU system. Either PMP may still only be changed once per year, and they do not stack. Students are learned enough at this point, that they are capable of branching out into multiple paths. Student Teacher Upgrade Fourth Year Students are able to teach up to 4 students in the mentor system at a time, effectively doubling class sizes. This is largely in part to the lessons in leadership students have learned by this point. Snack Pocket A little treat from the boys in R&D, the Fourth year uniform comes complete with a pocket purely linked to a special sort of Bag of Holding. When a snack or food item is placed into the pocket, it replicates any time the item is removed. Attempts to place weapons or anything combat effective revert the pocket to a normal pocket. Attempts to place anything non-edible revert the pocket to a normal pocket, until another food item is placed inside. Perfect for the student with munchies when finals time rolls around. Morale Bonus:Faster! While under the effect of this ability, students receive a boost to their processing and short movement speed of about 1.5x for up to 15 minutes, with 1 hour of rest in between uses and up to 3 times per day.
Because of the physiological changes this impose, the density is doubled, and thus the weight. It also makes the receiver vulnerable to electricity, requiring about 1/10th the current, and 1/3rd the voltage that a typical human would endure to be killed. While dodging becomes easier, being feinted is also easier, making trained fighters have easier times against those receiving his boost. Fifth Year Uniform This year's uniforms not only notate which school you attend, but also notate to the school staff which year you are. In addition to the normal school uniforms, the Fifth Year Uniform also provides a host of special benefits to the students who've made it this far. - Off Campus Living - Fifth year students are no longer eligible to live on campus, however housing and property is available for use throughout the city of Fukuoka.
- Student Representative - Fifth year students who have become citizens of Japan are granted status as "student representatives" of Japan. This confers upon them the privilege to travel and enter countries with a Japanese embassy freely, regardless of said country's usual position on Evotellurics or Magi. Governmental protection is offered to some extent, however well mannered behavior is a must.
- Mentor Privileges - First, those with a fifth year uniform can purchase the Talismans of Arcana, Evolution, and Proficiency at zero cost. In addition those students with one of these talismans will have their maximum charges expanded from 6 to 8, providing an opportunity for a larger discount for all the hard work they do! Unfortunately these nifty perks do not extend to the Talisman of Virtue.
NICAM A portatile computer designed to fit in a pocket without problem, the NICAM is unique in that it can be bended since it's formed of nanofibers, and possesses qualities comparable to most modern computers. In Leo's particular case, the NICAM comes with an application that allows it to summon the contents of his bag of holding. More details here.PLEASED v2.0 Poly Linguistic Enlightenment And Service Extension DeviceThis upgrade to the standard poly linguistic enlightenment and service extension device can either be purchased through credits or earned by participating in board events. Like it's predecessor, it uses a combination of Bluetooth technology and a unique brand of communication magic; but this time around a psionic energy crystal has been added to expand its capabilities. Using the latest Magic Technology (MT for short), the psionic crystal removes all translation delay from known languages, making seamless understanding finally possible. That would not even be the tip of the iceberg's weight worth of new abilities the PLEASED 2.0 includes. More details here.Upgrades: Talisman of Proficiency This talisman is a set of three bronze rings roughly 2/3 of an inch interlaced on a thin bronze chain used by Leo as a bracelet around his right hand. When the mentor accepts a student, one of the rings will break out and adjust to the size of that individual's hand (or, if they lack hands, the smallest size necessary to fit in a place of their choice). Though it is said these talismans are enchanted to empower the mentor, the reality is the mentors gets stronger over time because they keep teaching their abilities. The Med-e-Cig is like most all electronic cigarettes, vaporizing a solution with flavor, appearance, temperature and texture of typical tobacco smoke, however rather than vaporizing nicotine, the cigarette contains a spell that makes it emulate the sensations produced by smoking pending on its user typical reaction to a cigarette, the advantage of this is that no substance is sent into the body but inoffensive water vapor with flavor.

It comes in a variety of colors that can be changed at will and emits a soft light, but measures only 6” from base to tip. Placing the fire on an object will hold the flame to the surface like a sticker, crackling and safe while being an effective light source in a five foot diameter. To temporarily extinguish the flame, closing it in the palms of the owner will dampen it and reduce it to a manageable 1” that can be put in one’s pocket or bag of holding without ruining the item. This fire has been enchanted to extinguish completely in circumstances that would interfere with its magical nature, so enhancements cannot alter its use. After being destroyed or extinguished, it will take 24 hours to reappear in the owner’s palm when summoned. Skywriting Sparklers Shaped like a typical sparkler, these fireworks have been modified to a degree. When waved about, the light trails they leave behind persist, allowing for limited writing in the air. The light persists for fifteen seconds before fading away again. The sparklers themselves last for one minute and come in a variety of colors, each having this property, along with one other significant difference from a standard sparkler. Once spent, these items regenerate themselves over a period of twenty four hours, meaning they can be used again and again.
