Student Template Version 2.1 Student Name: Arlette Kafka Gender: Female Age: 13 (7th April, 1996) Race: Evotelluric Physical Appearance: Picture, drawn by Naminote Arlette looks rather like a little ghost, being paler than Snow White and having pinkish-red, purple or blue eyes, depending on the lighting and how the light hits them. A rare case, she is a true albino, and a beautiful one. Her unique eyes are charming once you get past the fact that they the colour is there only because her blood vessels are showing through her iris. Everything about her flesh and hair screams 'pale', right down to her eyebrows and eyelashes. She doesn't seem to show emotion very strongly, preferring to be subtle, making her appear more like a doll than a human for most of the time. Sometimes the Mona Lisa holds more expression than her, but Arlette doesn't find the specific moment to express emotion. She's rather short, standing at 5'2", with a slim frame. She chooses to wear classic but comfortable clothing, tailored to her size. Her wardrobe selection is not so diverse, usually neutrals or subdued colours, and she hardly ever buys new clothing, preferring to be frugal and to sew up any holes or tears - unfortunately she's not very good, and sometimes her clothing would look like it came out of surgery, so her mother would insist on buying her new clothes. Sometimes Arlette will wear a pair of horn-rimmed glasses, just to hide the fact that she has perfect eyesight, if not better. Arlette's hair is an extremely light and pure shade of near-white blonde that would make Herr Hitler very proud. It's also very long, reaching down past her hips. If her hair were to be straightened, it would probably reach her mid-thigh, although Arlette wouldn't even think about it. Her hair is fine and soft. She dislikes it when people touch it, but usually would not protest if they do, unless it happens to be a rough tug. Depending on the her current casts, her wardrobe changes just for comfort and the for the ease of putting things on. She would often wear an odd mix of clothing - bright secondhand items with arms or legs cut off to make room for a cast, hospital paraphernalia for a patient - often washed out from overuse, or the pattern's so faded you have to squint to see the flowers. She also has a quirky collection of many wide brimmed hats and sunglasses, much to the dismay of her parents ("What's all this? Are you going to Hawaii?!"). Personality: Often she will seem rather quiet, distant or lost, mainly because she has very little knowledge in the English language, and the P.L.E.A.S.E.D device she was handed out unfortunately broke when a car ran it over, and she now happens to be even more disorientated. Her English is heavily punctuated with German words throughout her sentences, she rolls her 'r's and pronounces 'w' as a 'v'. Sometimes you can pick up a bit of a French accent, as she forgets to say her 'h's. If you know the tale of how she got her current cast of the moment, in summary she is just a dreadfully clumsy European girl. Arlette likes cake and has a dangerous sweet tooth, and is very proud of being Austrian, even though her background is German and French. Coffee is by far, definitely better than tea in her eyes, especially Austrian coffee. She hates hot or humid weather, eggplants and ironically, hates Starbucks with a burning passion fiercer than the sun. On several occasions she resorted to giving up her quiet and ladylike demeanour in order to voice her real opinion of Starbucks - it usually contains curse words in German. The rest of it? She just tries her hardest to be a lady, which is quite hard sometimes, especially with her sense of pride - although she doesn't boast and prefers to hides her abilities, she's extremely competitive underneath her humble persona. You could argue it's developing more into honour, but it's hard to see at the moment. She has a bad sense of direction, and could spend hours roaming around a supermarket, just trying to look for a toothbrush. Arlette is a total perfectionist, which makes her seem rather strict sometimes - especially with classes, curfews, and responsibility. She's skilled in archery, figure-skating and horse-riding, but she quite likes to sing, is very good at it and likes it - mainly due to singing being safe and she doesn't have the chance of breaking bones compared to her other hobbies. Her family being strictly Catholic and deeply religious, she's known to sing hymns in Latin the best, and looks like she's about to die if she's forced to sing hip hop or "R & B". However, Arlette is terribly shy about her special skill and will need a lot of encouragement in order to sing in front of a single person. She won many archery competitions and received many awards for her precision with a bow and arrow. Arlette is also just as good with ice-skating - and even received an invitation to Japan to perform on ice in Nagoya, until she had an unfortunate accident which made her end up in casts. Her secret hobby is baking pastries, and her secret strength is her surprising alcohol tolerance. History: Pre-Azura Present time in Azura

School: Azura Designation/Primary Magic Principle: Gift of the Raptor Magic Spells/Special Abilities: Arlette's special abilities are unique in that they are based off her own ability mostly in archery and sharpshooting, instead of granting her a wholly new power. Most of these abilities are based off the abilities of the eagle, such as her new sight and a bonus when hunting or fighting alone, though instead of striking her prey with her talons (or lack thereof), it's with arrows. In addition to projectiles, she has some minor control of the wind - However, it seems like she would never be able to create a full-blown hurricane or a tornado in the near future.
Training: Archery - Due to her new powers, she's now extremely proficient with a bow and arrow, so she often tones it down a bit when she's in an archery class or is practicing archery in public. The farthest she can shoot is 80m with her current bow, and her accuracy - at 20 metres she is more likely to hit a bullseye. From 50 metres onwards it's harder and less accurate to hit correctly. At 80 metres it's extremely difficult. She can fire 30 arrows before getting tired. Singing - She's only very good at singing in hymns and classical songs. If you try to make her sing anything else that wasn't created for a church or by one of the great composers, expect her to sound horrifying. Figure-skating - Arlette has enough grace and flexibility to pull off jumps, spins and stunts at competition levels, and has perfected them over many years, but she often runs the risk of falling over or having another clumsy and embarrassing accident. Her skill has gotten rusty a little due to disuse, and mainly just skates for leisure now. Equestrianship - Arlette only has basic training in this area. She can get on and off a horse with no problem, and can handle a horse quite fine when it's galloping. Jumps are not a problem, but she still does not have very much control over a horse compared to what others can do. Horse-riding is often the main reason why she's often injured or with casts.
