so, what are your thoughts on it. we had a 10 page topic on the old semiotic. personally, im strictly against it. if i fall pregnant, i see no reason not to have the baby. |

m... yes its murder but.. come on would a women who got raped want to keep that child?? carry them for 9 months.. i dont think so.. that would be disturbing.. |

Ok im going to be very carefull in saying if abortion is right or wrong cause i know i'm going to get blasted by a 'believer'. If you think its wrong, supper, thats your belief and your more than entitled to express that belief. However, i am against people dictating or preasuring this belief on someone in this situation. Deciding whether or not to have an abortion is never an easy decisision no matter what your beliefs are. The last thing a woman needs when making that decission is being emotionaly tortured by fanatics telling her that she's gonna go to hell for her 'sins'. In some circumstances the decision to have an abortion may come out of love to the unborn child, as the mother may feel she is unfit to raise the child. I know what a lot of you may be thinking, 'why not adopt the child out of love', unfortunately it may not be this simple, as the mother may not be able to deal with the notion of having a child in this world that isn't entirely theirs. I am not to telling any of the religious types to shut up and hide in their corner, but merly try to coexist peacfully with those who do not not belief abortion is wrong. You don't have to attack those who choose to have an abortion to honour your beliefs. |

I'm on the fence for abortion. I mean, if you get pregnant, then have the baby. Unfortunately, if you don't want it or know you can't take care of a child, give it up for adoption. At least the child will be able to have a life. Now, as of rape, I'm not sure because the girl did not give consent so she is not responsible. However, as disgusting as it is, she should still have the baby and give it up for adoption if she does not want it. But it is the woman's body so it's her choice. Abortion is murder, but it's the mother's body. If it were me...I'll most likely have the child. |

Padmilk, great response, it really changed my perspective on abortion. My last opinion was that it was okay, that it every woman should have the right to abort their child. It's that we don't understand what the woman is going through. Maybe she can't support the child and wouldn't want him/her to suffer in this world that she has brought him into. Abortion may seem like the best option. But, adoption, which I never even thought about, is another great option. The child gets the chance at life, a second chance. However, there are many foster parents that abuse the child. Eek

you all have great points  its the mother choise of course.. and i would never pressure the mother saying its wrong dont do it..! its none of my bussniess its her body.. she can do whateva she belives and thinks.. but my opition is if you got pregant knowing the risks.. and that you could fall pregant then you should keep that child! even if you dont want it..but like i said before about rape.. I strongley think if you get raped.. you have the MOST RIGHT! to get an abortion.. and yes some women give birth to a child from rape.. they are strong..!! and didnt give up! but their are so many who cant take that pressure in having that child from rape. it would be hard.. and would effet their metal state.. does anyone? get what i mean? |

yes and gamze i totally agree with u on everything but u cant make a law on that because people would say they were raped so they could have the abortion and other issues and loop holes no its either yes u can have abortions or no you can not! |

yeah ok i get ya! BUT rapes differnt!!!!!!! you didnt make that child!! wanting to!!!!!!!!!! like i get what you mean!.. good point. but just this rape thing! its hard to debate really.. |
