However, after watching this video, and seeing the kinds of things that are possible, I think it's badass. But I'd worry about things crashing and people becoming too dependent on the technology. You go to University of Reading?

While he's apparently very well qualified, I'm not sure I believe him when he says how close we are - I know there's been a lot of research, but there are a lot of big hurdles. Even if the technology was there, I'm not sure our understanding of the brain and nervous system is sufficient. I think he just might be a very hopeful transhumanist. I just keep thinking of William Gibson's novels now. As ugly and dystopic as they are ... well, Molly was damn cool. Quote: They'll rebel.
