Board Rules: *** By participating on this discussion board, members agree to abide by the rules outlined here.*** 1. Discussion of James' personal life is not permitted. 2. Rude behavior towards James posted at this board by members will result in getting banned permanently. It also gets your name removed from the Sirens list. We would like to keep the atmosphere here in a respectable manner towards James. 3. Bashing of members of this site or James Scott is not allowed. Joining this board to deliberately bash will not be tolerated and will result in an automatic ban. Openly talking about other members publically here is not allowed. 4. Actor/Director/Writer bashing is not permitted. No bashing. If you have an issue with a certain character or couple we ask that you please use our rant forums to express your frustration. 5. Derogatory Character Nicknames: Please use the character's/couples proper names. Do not replace their names with derogatory nicknames or mocking variations of their names. Established fan nicknames for characters & couples are allowed. 6. Sign-in Threads: Each pairing of any character created by James can have one fan sign in thread that's protected. Each pairings thread must go in the respective forum for that character. All other pairings, actors, or characters protected threads must go in the Days forum. These are the only protected threads allowed. All other threads are open to discussion. This does not mean it's a "free for all" just because a thread is open for discussion. ALL opinions are welcome whether they are in agreement or disagreement. You’re free to post your opinion but we do ask that you respect the opinions of other members. Please do not use protected threads as a place to bash other characters or pairings. Bashing will not be allowed. Hate threads will not be allowed. If you have issues with a character or pairing please use the rant forum provided here. Rant forums require 20 posts or more. 7. Please keep the language on the board clean as cleans as possible (this goes for pictures also). 8. Please respect the privacy of other members. Do not post personal information about yourself or others (other members, your family/friends, e-mail addresses, etc.). If you need to exchange personal information with another member please use the "Private Message" function. 9. If you run into problems with someone here, let a moderator/administrator know. Please use the report button if needed. 10. No Spamming. 11. If you do not understand a decision made by a staff member do not question it publicly on the board. Please take it to a private message. 12. No offensive usernames or avatars. If you feel your username or avatar may be offensive, feel free to ask one of the board Administrators. 13. Please don't take anyone's artwork without their permission. 14. You may not come here and sell/trade anything. You may not advertise your site to sell/trade anything (i.e. no solicitation). 15. It is against copyright laws to post articles/interviews from SOD or any other publication. You may post a summary but please do not copy it word for word. If you get it from another message board leave a link as your source. 16. Do not bring discussion about other message boards or members of other boards to this board. 17. Do not copy posts from other message boards. Exception to this rule: summary of articles/interviews and spoilers (please credit your source with a link). RUMORS: We all love a good rumor and sometimes hope it comes true. But rumors are also a malicious way of spreading gossip and this can be harmful to all involved. If a rumor cannot be substantiated with facts to back it up, we feel it is in the best interest of all involved to remove any and all rumor post from the board. A rumor is defined as: 1: talk or opinion widely disseminated with no discernible source 2: a statement or report current without known authority for its truth If you cannot back it up (i.e. provide a valid link), we ask that you please do not post it. Please refrain from posting rumors in regards to James or anyone else at Days of Our Lives (includes TPTB). Rumors in regards to storylines on the show are permitted. Please post them in the appropriate forum. Signature/Banner Rules: Banners can be no larger than 500x175. Only two banners are allowed in signatures. Several banners in a banner rotation are allowed. You may have three lines of text under banners. With no banners you may have up to six lines of text. Please keep font size to a reasonable size. Suggestion: While we understand the show gets you down from time to time, we'd like to please suggest people try to stay as positive as they can and keep the negativity to a minimal. If you really have to vent please feel free to visit our rant forums and vent away. Rant forums required 20 posts or more.
