A spaghetti squash is yellow and is about the size of a football. It's called spaghetti because once it's cooked it looks like spaghetti. 1 medium squash half a stick of butter salt pepper parm cheese, grated. Place the squash in the oven and bake until done in a 350 degree oven. It's done when a knife slides in and out easily. Let cool for 10 to 20 minutes. Cut off top and bottom, and slice in half length wise. Scoop out the seeds and middle with a spoon. Grasp each half and using a fork, flake the flesh and dump into a serving bowl, or if its too cool, into a pan to heat through. Repeat with other half. Add butter, and some parm. Salt and pepper to taste, and top with additional cheese. **You can also sub. Olive Oil for the butter. I use half and half. Also leave it plain and eat with spaghetti sauce. |
