serves six to eight 6 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips 4 eggs, seperated 1 tsp. vanilla(I also use amaretto or frangelica instead) Melt chocolate in a heavy bottom pan or double boiler on low heat. Stirring often to avoid burning(if in heavy bottom pan) set aside. Beat egg yolks until pale and lemon colored. Slowly stir in the chocolate and blend well. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Add a third of the whites into the yolks and chocolate, add flavoring. Carefully fold in the remaining whites. Spoon into individual dishes or a serving bowl. Cover and chill for at least 8 hours before serving. 1 serving is 1/6 of the recipe cal 196 carbs 17 grams per serving This is really rich....and good. |
