Well here goes, I was planning on doing a horror roleplay set in a fantasy, science fiction hybrid setting. I don't want to jump into it given how we have three threads going already so I thought I'd ask and see if you guys would be into a horror setting. Also given the setting it might start out in one setting seemingly and then transfer into another. Such as per say, from being the crew on a space ship to interacting within what could be considered a medieval setting, and vice versa.

I might have more to add to this, such as more settings and ideas but I dunno.

Feed back is welcome if it pleases you.

I really like the setting shuffling, and it sounds like a lot of fun and open to a lot of character development.

What capacity would there be for supernaturalism?

No magic for PCs though enemies would have it, supernatural and monstrous creatures and races would also be present throughout it. Mainly I want to achieve the feeling that you have no one but each other, and no abilities of your own to be able to easily overcome your foes or even at all. I want to create a setting in which the things that are trying to kill you can and there is little to do but stall them or run away. Not to say that nothing will be able to be overcome, just I want it to be a setting in which our characters will question whether it is worth it to kill our enemies much of the time for a variety of reasons.

I want to run a setting focusing on character interaction to support each other and working on making a team. NPCs will also be present early on but may or may not be killed off, after they have been around long enough for the PCs to appreciate them and miss them when lost. I want to try and create a tension in which loss will affect the players even if not as much as their characters.

I guess you could think of it as team Silent Hill, or Doom, only you aren't the hero really, and you are very, very likely to die if you mess up.

Well I like it. I would actually like to start something like that. Seeing as every other RP we have like super-mega-ultra powers. (SHREAD YOU HACKER :D) As long as this is more like a Left 4 Dead Nobody gets left behind unless they are TOTALLY screwed kindof thing, I would do it. Toadsmagoads guys.

@Xandar: Totally understandable, and quite honestly what I will do. After all there is no point in starting another RP just to have it die because we're too busy with the others or that other things are dead anyway.

@Mirage: No, it will not be like Left4Dead because I don't like the set up. However we will be trying to stay alive as much as possible and saving others will be a priority unless it will get everyone killed, as we will likely need everyone's skills to survive.

Further on that, I was planning that when I set this up I'd try to get you guys to create characters to fill different roles (loosely based on things like mechanic, medic, and stuff like that) so that each person is valuable to the team as a whole. As well it would prevent people from assuming the "I'm a hero" mindset as your character will only be capable in one or two situations at most and will require the other's help for the rest. I guess another thing I should mention is that people who pull the "I'm a loner" gig will likely be slated for execution. This is about team work, and getting to know your fellow survivors, it never really works well in a survival situation when someone tries to be a distant elite and rarely communicates with the rest of the team.
Don't take this as me not wanting you all to come up with (hopefully) unique personalities, I just hope that if and when this gets started that the characters will spend their time resting or traveling while relatively safe talking and interacting with each other so as to avoid the "We get attacked!" then "We arrived at this place and deal with the new problem" followed by "We are now at a new place fighting new things." Travel time will be moments of rest usually and I don't want to run a combat/struggle heavy roleplay. Yes there will be conflict and danger but I also hope to run an RP in which the players spend a good chunk of time exploring the effects on their characters from being in the situations they are in.
