The Current year is 2390 and Starbase 72 has been completed. With the resupply/repair/command base complete and Starfleet is starting send more ships into the Delta Quadrant to help secure the wormhole and continue the exploration of the galaxy.

Sango Fleet is located in a area the has been rightfully nicknamed the triangle. This name is not because the shape of the area but rather to describe the 3 supper powers within the area. The Gill Empire, Darken Republic and Bork Alliance. All three supper powers have been in disputed over a large area of space located in the center of the three Nations.

This Area contains hundreds of peaceful planets and many pirates. Because the area has been fought over for such a long period of time, almost none of the races within it have a large if any type of fleet. Many of them have given up defending them self’s from the three supper powers and just raise the Flag of which ever nation currently has power over there area of space. The Planets that do have defenses mostly only use them against the pirate in the area.

Starbase 72 the command base for the fleet is located almost in the center of this disputed and ungoverned area placing the whole fleet in an unstable area. The hope of the Federation and Sango fleet is to stabilize the area and hopefully start to make it as peaceful as the Alpha quadrant is starting to become.
Hoping to continue the cooperation that was present during the Dominion War, the Federation and its allies have re-started the Officer Exchange Program, which will allow Romulan and Klingon personnel to cross-train with Starfleet officers. Both empires have also agreed, in a bold move, to allow their starships to join Sango Fleet in the first ever Starship Exchange Program. With the support of the Alpha Quadrant, Sango Fleet hopes to end the continuing violence in the Delta Quadrant, and bring about an era of peace.
