The Wood "out on the Town"
I hope all those who attended will agree that this year's Dinner was a great success with an attendance of 52 it was also one of our largest gatherings. This was in no small part down to the colts who came in great numbers some with their families, the future of The Wood is looking good. Again, unfortunately, there was only a small contingent of "senior" players making it feel like a Saturday at Kiln Corner waiting and hoping that all 11 players would turn up which was a great shame, but at least only one award went uncollected this time - Matt P for Best Bowler.

As well as the usual awards there were two new categories this year, Most Improved Player won by Tom Leaver and Best Young Cricketer won by Charlie White, congratulations to them both.

Thanks to Beth & Ken Lewsey for coming up with the "Alternative Tea Awards" with appropriate certificates and prizes, a very amusing interlude between courses.

Look after yourselves out of season, ready to return fit and healthy for 2010, see you next year. :)
