Greetings!
The American Confederation of Magic welcomes you to the magical community of Salem, Massachusetts. We, as a member of the allied Ministries, caution you to use your magic wisely.
Salem was founded back in the year 1626 as a colony of England and as a refuge for witches and wizards. Unwise magical use exposed the magical community, and in 1692 many were condemned for it.
Adhering to the act 292 is strongly recommended. This act states that no magical person may perform magic knowingly in front of non-magicals without express permission from the ACoM unless it's of dire need.
Dire need is: risk of injury that is life threatening to the magical user, the non-magical, others or the town itself.
The consequences of exposing magic are: Imprisonment in the magical goal located at the Corey farmstead, wand breakage, disbarment from the magical community itself- and if the severity of the action warrants, death.
So, enjoy your stay here!
