The PM system does not appear to have a delete button for deleting messages.

If there isn't one, could you add one?

If there is one, could you show me how to access it? I seriously could not find one.

P.S. This is N0T a joke. I really couldn't find one.

Unfortunately at the moment there is no delete button, as it's the way Invision hardcoded the Zetaboards software.

I will however look for a way to add this, but I cannot make any guarantee.

The message boxes do not fill up, you can have an unlimited amount of pms stored. I got about a couple hundred and then some on mine.

There is no deleting pms with Zetaboards. You simply archive them. You have unlimited space, and so now, if you accidently were to "delete" a pm, it is saved within your archive. It is a great mechanism, and works just like gmail, where you can search your archived messages for things.

I don't believe gmail has this function that or I am retarded.

My understanding from the support forums, where this issue has been hotly debated, is that although Zetaboards won't come out and directly say it, they are doing it for legal reasons.

Zetaboards is basically stonewalling (which is their right), innumerable requests from, site owners who object to the policy. At this point, the topic is a nonstarter. I've even seen a few topics about this get locked.

In defense of their practice they have mentioned the need to respond to requests from legal authorities. I would not look for them to change their policy in the future.

Really? And what legal reasons do you think they are? Do you think they had legal probs with invisionfree?

Yes, Chris there may have been legal issues in the past.

As a site owner Chris, you have every right to read the forums and come to your own conclusions.

I'm just summarizing what I have read on the issue,

My own opinion, is I would like to have the ability to delete PMs, however,

I accept the fact that they make the rules. And so I will abide by them.
