In Oblivion, to run a script at range, you put the script in a ranged magic effect. As far as I know, to run magic effect scripts, you create a global script and "dummy" spell effects, and then check for those effects. This can easily be applied to the player character, but is there a way to apply them dynamically to other actors at range? Sort of like a getself function. Edited by Kythrius, May 28 2008, 02:42 PM.

I'm not sure how to, but I'm searching right now in Morrowind Scripting for Dummies on my computer. Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck. |

There HAS to be a way to do that, otherwise how did someone come up with the improved combat mod? Hopefully it doesn't require MWSE. Edited by Kythrius, May 28 2008, 05:22 PM.

No, but that does use Morrowind Enhanced (ME), which is a side program made by the person who made combat enhanced. EDIT: Wait, do you mean Combat Enhanced? Edited by Unpleasant_Assailant, May 28 2008, 05:37 PM.

Okay, then yeah, it uses ME. I'm not sure exactly how it works though.... I use ME, and know how to set it up, but that's all I know. |

Ideally I would want to avoid having my Morrowind mod use utilities like Morrowind Enhanced, MWSE, or MWGE until someone combines them. |
