Hey, what's up? New guy? Thinking of joining... Sweet, sweet...
Well, we're currently just a little haven of Star Wars fans, so, you know, if you like-da-luke, join up. Or da Han... Or Da Leia...
It's an RP. Y'know, join, make a character, go adventuring through space with a giant shag carpet, whatevs. It's also a Galactic Empire Era set up, I think right now we're right after Clone Wars.
So yeah. Joiny button below mate. Save us dude/dudette. You're our only hope.

"Prehaps they shouldn't have used the Force at all. It... distanced them from normal people. We thought they were invincible and infallible... prehaps they absorbed the feelings and began to think it themselves... only to have their world fall down around them. Maybe they forgot that they were fallible, until it was too late..."

Karlla looked at her hand.

"How do we play this game?"

"I don't feel like talking about the Jedis anymore. This card game is very simple. I learned how to play when I was on Tatooine. Every person has a deck. You draw the top card and whoever has the highest card wins. It is an easy gambling game that is all about luck." Raiden said.

Raiden shuffled his deck and got ready.

"I'm with mystery man on this one" Scrump said as he shuffled his deck. "Yeah, s'always a good time on space runs. Gives people time to talk... Republic Senate rules?" He did a spread shuffle over the console, looking like his hands were playing a cup-game. "Basically, that means we play for a long time, with everyone arguing and no-one winning anything..." He thought for a second. "Bugger. Spacer's will have to find a new name for it now Palpatine's an honorable emperor."

(Corellia, bustling planet of a billion souls. A new character approaches, flying on the winds of fate)

It was always good to visit Corellia. Thaispel loved the place. He felt it was quite like him, halfway between law and crime. The Five Brothers were strange bastions of freedom in Palpatine's era.

Smoothly, Thaispel slipped the Skylark into Corellia's gravity well. He headed for a particular spaceport. He wasn't sure why. He just drifted with the wind. Things were happening, and things tended to happen here. Corellia was the whirlpool around which fate swirled.

There were of course landing procedures to follow, but Thaispel never had much time for that sort of thing. Once out of hyperspace, the romance of travel faded, and all he wanted to do was land. The Skylark had fairly sophisticated countermeasures, and somehow Corellia never tried too hard to identify incoming ships, in case they succeeded.

There were already plenty of other ships at the port. Many, Kunai knew, would be other smugglers. The more the merrier. The Smuggling Skylark made port, and a tanned Advozse strode out into the sun.

"And for you, sir?" A greasy Toydarian barman looked up from cleaning a dirty glass with an equally dirty dishcloth to address Thaispel. "Hey, you're back", he added, recognising his old acquantaince.

"Corellian ale, Gasko. A taste of home. How are things?" Thaispel couldn't help thinking of this place as home. He fit in more than on Riflor.

"Good, good, you know," said Gasko, pausing to cough fitfully over Thaipel's glass. "Sorry," he muttered, catching the Advozse's steely eye, and fetched a new glass. Returning, he continued "Yeah, we're good. Some of the places have been complaining that the Empire's bad for business, but I have to say things have picked up since Palpatine. Maybe 'cos stormtroopers don't drink here, hah?"

Thaispel smiled. "Could be". He raised his drink to his lips and sipped, savouring the unique taste of home-brewed ale and Gasko's grime.

"So where you off to?"

"Not sure. Waiting for something to happen. Things generally do."

Gasko grimaced grimly. "Don't know about that, the Emperor is keen on law and order, y'know."

"The tighter one holds a ball, the further it will go when it slips through one's fingers."

"Very allegorical."

"All...all right, Gasko...see you around..." said a somewhat tipsy Thaispel Kunai, spilling out of his favourite bar and into Corellian twilight.

Nearby, a very noticeably inconspicuous fellow glanced around conspiratorially in the mouth of an alley (just in case anyone hadn't noticed him) and gave the universal signal for secretly attracting attention: "Psst!"

Thaispel glanced around, and entered the shadows of the alleyway. "Can I help you?"

"You're Th'sp'l K'nai n't you?" The man muttered, adding to the suspicion of several other passing lurkers.

"I could be"

"Yur, well I got some cargo for you. Needs to go to, you know...N'l H'tta."

"Continue," said Thaispel, already counting whether to accept this contract. The guy was clearly an amateur. How far, Thaispel wondered, would the Corellian conscience stretch?

"Well...what would you be willing to carry?"

"Only strictly legal tender, as you know". Thaispel was beginning to enjoy himself.

"Oh - um, yeah, o'course. Anyway - my ship is at Starport Starwind, Dock Six. Come, have a look in the morning, yeah?"

"Yeah, yeah, sure," said the self-assured smuggler, stifling a yawn. What the hell, he figured. He could do with some excitement.

Starwind was a grubby place - some of the finest grime on Corellia in fact. After all, this a place where a small, dirty, inconspicuous little port was most, most useful for its motley clientele.

Dock Six contained an equally grubby freighter, around which stood several service droids ready to cart away several repulsorlift containers. One such droid wheeled up to Thaispel as he approached and began to arkwardly enunciate through a decade-old vocabulator.

"I recognise you as...Thaispel Kunai. You have a message."

"Who from?"

"You have a message. Message from: my owner. Message runs:" - and here a very badly garbled recording played. Thaispel just caught a few key words, a skill he was quietly proud of.

"Cargo...sensitive. Naboo...Theed. 0.25 mill..."

Thaispel nodded and hurriedly shushed the droid. "All right get moving. Starport Sunlight, Dock Four. YT-1210."

As the cargo was loaded onto the Fluent Merchant, Thaispel wondered briefly what it was. Not that it mattered. What mattered was that a client was prepared to pay for its swift delivery. And, that Thaispel was almost certain he had been watched by what passed for the local law agency. Still, he reflected, he could do with a challenge to pass the time.

Thaispel Kunai flexed his fingers.
