It's an RP. Y'know, join, make a character, go adventuring through space with a giant shag carpet, whatevs. It's also a Galactic Empire Era set up, I think right now we're right after Clone Wars.
So yeah. Joiny button below mate. Save us dude/dudette. You're our only hope.

"Alright Karlla, you can open your eyes now!"

Karlla obliged, and nearly screamed

"Is that... is that for me?"

"Yep," Her father replied, grinning, "A YT-1930."

"I thought that model wasn't out yet?" Karlla said, still mildly shocked. It's not every day a brand new space ship turns up on your landing pad.

"Yes, but you know your father's good friends with the CEC project manager?" Her mother chipped in, "He was able to get this prototype for you. Thought you'd appreciate it."

"Obviously! Thank you soooo much!" Karlla hugged her parents.

"You need a name for it." Her Dad said, after a while.

"Oh, yeh, of course..." Karlla had been so swept up in the excitement she'd forgotten about the comparatively mundane things.

"Let's see..." Karlla racked her brains. She'd never been very good at choosing names, for pets and now for the spaceship.

"Go mythological..." her brain prompted

"I think I'll call it the Phoenix..." she said eventually

"Any reason why?"

"Dad, please, it was hard enough for me to come up with the name. Do I really need a reason? How about I like the sound of it?"

"I think that qualifies. Now let's get back to the house. Your mum's cooked up a special dinner for you're birthday..."

(Cut forward a week)

Karlla was inspecting the Phoenix, for about the tenth time today. She hadn't actually flied the ship yet, because she wanted to find a copilot, or maybe a droid. Preferably both. One person could just about fly it by them selves, but it'd be very hard work.

Karlla sighed, and put out an advertisment for a copilot from her holoscreen. There were plenty of flyboys (and girls, she corrected herself) looking for a job. She decided to call 'Pink Squadron'

'Pink Squadron' initially was composed of various female pilots in the shipping company she used to fly for. They'd often requested to fly together, and became almost like a 2nd family to Karlla. The name had sprung up when a passing fighter pilot jokingly called them the 'Pink Squadron.' At the time, it'd recieved mild outrage, but the name had sort of been adopted by now, at least colloqiually.

"Hi, is that Lira? Yeh, this is Karlla. Hold on, I'll put you up on screen... That's better. Hey, you'll never guess what..."

A man walks into a bar. Ouch.
On a completely different planet, in a different time, a Corellian steps foot on his home planet for the first time. Ever. It seems weird, to someone who's never flown the space lanes. He strides down a ramp, reaching up to cover his eyes in the sun. The ship behind him, majestic magnificent... and completely junked. Hell, he'd set down at a bloody junker port. He swore, cursing out the Empire, the Republic, and anybody manning the Kessel run. He turned to check the 'Jumper', his ship. As he watched, the starboard wing sparked, blasting a high voltage charge off into the sky. He sighed. He went around to the cargo bay door, opening it to the acrid stench of burnt Muja fruit. He reached inside, pulling out 3 jars, still intact. The first was full of Muja, melted into slag by Imp/Republic laser cannons. He checked teh second, a miraculously intact pack of spice. Good stuff as well, Neutron Pixie of the best caste. Thank hell the LT on site had just opened fire, rather than check if the smuggling rumors were true. In the final jar, the man reached in reverently, to reveal a diamond. Large, multi faceted, and all that remained of Kir Miskol. Lorhe "Scrump" Miskol made a quick good luck sign over the diamond, before the junk dealer sent him an offer.

3 days later, and 2000 credits richer, Scrump walked into a church. A mortuary to be exact, the roof studded with what seemed to be myriad stars. Every star a destiny. Every destiny a Corellian. A tear welled up unbidden in Scrump's eye, as he strode purposefully to a droid database.
"Miskol System" He said simply, not trusting himself not to break into tears. The droid nodded, processed, and a small repulsorcraft deposited itself next to it. Scrump stepped on, rising up to a small 'system' of starlike diamonds. A small empty hole, chosen by his father years before, stood before him. Slowly, reverently, he took the diamond, and slowly pushed it into Kir Miskol's final resting place. His estranged homeworld. Scrump lowered his head, thinking he should say something.
"You... You were a true Corellian dad. The odds were huge, and you beat them like no-one else. Lady Luck go wi' ya dad." Now tears were streaming down Lorhe's face now. As he lowered to the floor, he pulled out a datapad, telling it to find the nearest cantina, and check for spacer calls. He needed a drink.

Scrump was nursing a reactor core when the call came on his 'pad. He looked down at it, noting his reflection. He had a strong face, particularly the jawline, covered with a short, trimmed goatee. His hair was short, kept so for ease more than any beatific property. His hair was a dark brown, almost wood coloured, if he'd seen wood in his life, he'd have said it was 'bark'. He focused through the reactor core and checked the 'pad. He shot upward, dropping a few cred notes on the table, before darting out the door. A job offer had just been posted, right near the cantina.

Scrump walked slowly into the spaceport, taking quick note of his surroundings. A couple of 1 man smuggle-craft were standing inconspicuously in dark corners, likely loaded up with enough Ryll or deathsticks to kill an army, all bound for Coruscant. Everything ended up there eventually. He walked slowly toward what looked like a Corellian YT, but with some serious mods. H moved around and under the vessel, admiring it from every possible angle. A single turret, that was good, if nothing else, Kir had taught Scrump how to use a blaster, cannon or pistol. "Hey, anyone know where I can find a..." He checked his 'pad. "Karlla Leedine?"

"Yeh, it's looking good so far. Say, do you know a cheap droid dealer? I think I could use one on here. Uh huh... R2 units? for 500 credits? I hope there's nothing wrong with them... So what was the name? Dirk's Droids. Great naming skills there. Well, thanks, I'll go check it out. Karlla out." Karlla opened an onscreen map of the city, and found the droid shop.

"Anyone know where I can find a... Karrla Leedine?" came a call from outside.

Karlla lept down the access ramp.

"That'd be me. Are you here to apply for the job?" She noticed the man's expression. He'd been through a lot recently. Call it women's intuition. "You would be?"

Scrump barely held back a double take. He'd been expecting some grizzled old freighter biddy, not a woman even younger than him. He drew himself up and threw a mock salute. "Names Scrump Miss. You're Leedine?" He did his best to throw up a cheerful facade, but he couldn't drive the Miskol 'System' from his head. He hoped he'd end up there, someday... He snapped back to the present. "Yeah, Yeah, um... I saw your ad, you need a copilot right?" He crossed his arms across his bantha leather vest. "I'm your man miss! I grew up on these things, and that turret looks like a cot to me." He laughed at the old spacer joke, which'd been popular during the civil war. "Well? I won't take up too much space, I promise. Space is profit, eh?"

"It's not so much the space that's profit, more what you do with it, 'Scrump'." Karlla replied, smiling. "Yes, I am Leedine, but as you're working with me, you can call me Karlla. I was just about to go into town to pick up an astromech. If you want you can tag along, see if you'd like a few upgrades for your 'cradle'

A few minutes later, Karlla was in the salesroom of Dirk's Droids

"Well, this one looks in good condition... what's it's designation?"

Dirk sniffed

"R2-G1. No known faults, and 1 previous owner."

"Why'd the previous owner sell him?"

"The old man had retired from piloting."

Karlla looked back at the droid. It looked pretty mainstream, with various areas marked out in green. She knew simple Binary, but a year back she'd made a little in-the-ear device that translated Binary to Basic. She pushed it in now.

"Hello, Geeone."

"Boop, beep, woraaal!" The droid chirped. her Translator changed this to "Hello. Who are you?"

"I think I'll take him..." Karlla said. "How much?"

"Considering condition... he's good for 550 credits."

It was a bit more than she was hoping to pay, but the droid did seem to be fine. She handed over the credits, and waited outside for Scrump to finish at the upgrade shop.

Raiden was driving in his speeder. He needed to find a ship to get him off this rock. To imagine that he had been robbed of his money and clothes. The robbers left his speeder in some remote place. Raiden had been travelling for almost a decade and nothing like this has ever happened to him.

Raiden was able to "borrow" some clothes and had worked a bit so he had enough money to get a cheap pilot. Raiden saw a girl standing with a droid. Maybe she knew where to find a pilot. Raiden pulled up in front of her.

"Hello, can I ask you a question?" Raiden said with a smirk.

Karlla looked at the newcomer.

"You may certainly ask a question. However, if it involves me removing any clothes, I may just have to get this droid to stun you."

A bit harsh, she knew, but it never hurt to be too careful.

Scrump smiled at his new boss. "You got it Karlla, that little turret'll be able to take out an avenger class!"

A very, very short time later, Scrump was situated within a weapons store, and old armory that the Corellian military used for civilians. He was poking around in the back, using all the old tricks his dad had taught him. Look at the busted up junk, it could be useful, and cheap! So far, he'd found a better seat, an old, damaged, but superior Arkanian sight, and more junk than a toydarian could move. He sauntered up to the merchant, opening his pack gently.
"So, mate, where can I get ahold of an arkanian generator coil?"
The Merchant, to his credit, barely responded, other than a slight flinch.
"Don't got any." He said softly, before Scrump drew his spice.
"You a chewer buddy?" The merchant shushed Scrump hurriedly, starting to sweat.
"This, you know what this is? This is 3 canisters, minimum, of Neutron Pixie dust." He Sighed. "I was willin' to trade fer a new coil, a new seat and some other stuff, but what the hell. Me and my girl can have a good night tonight, eh?" He turned to go, before the merchant grabbed and spun him round, dropping a coil into his hand and taking the spice. "All the stuff you've chosen so far, and 3 more pieces, alright?"
"Done"
Scrump left a few minutes later with the coil, seat, sight, hair trigger, E11 blaster rifle, and repair kit. He saw Karlla, and sauntered over. "Heya boss. Who's the little guy?" He bent down, whistling and chirping at the droid, it returning the sentiment in surprise. "Huh, chatty little fella."
He looked up at the newcomer, a smirking fierfek in a speeder. "Easy Karlla, he looks like he might have a little cash... Maybe a ride or sumthin'"

"Well if I had asked you to remove your clothes that droid wouldn't be able to touch me, but I am getting off topic. Do you know where I can find a very cheap pilot? I am not talking cheap like in skill, but cheap money wise." Raiden asked.

Raiden thought the girl was attractive, but she wasn't his type. Raiden then spotted a man addressing the girl as boss. Raiden started to wonder who she was.

"Well, I am a pilot... at the moment I don't have anything on the cards. If you want to travel somewhere, let's go back to my ship and discuss it. Scrump, I brought along a small cart over there for your stuff. Geeone, would you mind towing that lot back for us?"

"whoo..."

"Hey, I'm sorry, but I don't do heavy lifting."

"Beep, bobup."

"Whatever, please just do it?"

"Dweet!"

"You're a freaking droid! What can I pay you in!?"

A few minutes later, and Karlla had hooked the droid up. Geeone was still making half-hearted protests, but towing the cart anyway.

"He's got a headstrong personality, I'll give him that." Karlla sighed. She'd won in the end by stating firmly that if he refused further, or indeed at any time in the future, he'd be taken for a memory wipe.

"Well, here she is. Meet the Phoenix. Geeone, would you mind helping Scrump get his parts installed? Thank you. He's all yours for the moment" Karlla told Scrump.

"Now then," she said, turning to the newcomer. "Who are you, and where do you need to go?"
