The small sith interceptor drifted through hyperspace, it's lone inhabitant in a state of semi-sleep due to his proficiency in the force. It had taken him some time to travel to this place, as it was beyond the outer rim territories and nearly to the unknown regions. Some called it wild space, while others simply referred to it as the frontier. Few people traveled there these days, and the reason for this pilot's mission was one of exploration. Suddenly as he slept, the navicomputer on his dashboard began to beep and chirp as the ship neared it's destination.
Punching a few coordinates into the computer, Baeral grabbed hold of the controls as the planet came into view outside his cockpit. The planet was a terrestrial planet with little humanoid presence, though he knew from his research that plenty of other species existed there. Easing the accelerator on his ship, the sith piloted it carefully through the atmosphere. Coming through the clouds that covered the planet's surface, Baeral watched as his ship came out near a large valley of sorts. A large, expansive lake lay below his ship as he darted above the water's surface.
Up ahead, his ultimate destination lie in the distance. A small black object rising directly out of the earth. From afar it appeared to be just a giant black rock, but once his ship began to close on the object Baeral could see it's true shape. Five points raised from the giant black rock, making it appear to be some kind of hand. As his ship began to near it, Baeral slowed the accelerators as he slowly moved the ship upwards, heading towards the object's hangar. Once he reached it, he landed the ship just inside the massive room, as there was considerable damage and debris filling it. Leaping out of the small ship, he ignited his lightsaber and entered a small room off of the main hangar, ready to begin his work.

As he entered the main hangar control room, Baeral kept his lightsaber steadied in front of him, using it as a light to guide him through the darkened room. That was not his only tool of sight though, as he was also using the force to scan the room around him. Nothing. Walking over to a computer console, Baeral laid one of his hands on it, using the force to pump a solid stream of energy into it. The screen suddenly whirred to life, after a few years without usage or touch. Accessing some of the system's more basic files, Baeral found what he needed. A map of the entire fortress, as well as a few security codes just in case any of them worked.
Leaving the console he headed out another door, walking down a long dark hallway as he searched for the nearest turbolift. Since the entire fortress had no energy in it, the turbolifts wouldn't be working. But that what's the force was for, he reminded himself. Finding it after a few moments of searching, he looked down the dark shaft and leapt. Floating through the thick shaft air the sith plunged downwards. Before he hit the bottom though, he began to form the force under him, and as he hit the bottom of the shaft he softened his fall.
Igniting his lightsaber once more, Baeral sliced the door open, and proceeded into the main hallway. He was one step closer to his goal.

He traveled for some time, taking old and often broken routes deeper and deeper into the ancient fortress. He was alone, and yet at the same time, the sith could sense the presence of others around him. They were not human, at least, not in most aspects. However, they had a feeling of the force, and therefore they knew that he was there as well. For now though, Baeral chose to ignore them as he completed the last leg of his arduous journey into the fortress' depths. Stepping into another room, Baeral saw a strange crystalline object lying in the center of the room. And he knew then that he was finally there at least.
Lugging the massive pack off his back that he'd carried inside, he headed over to one of the computers and plugged it in. The screen came to life, and suddenly most of the room lit up as well. The sith was powerful in the force, but not strong enough to keep an entire facility powered for hours. That's what his generator had been for. Punching a few controls on the keyboard, he found enough power cells still strong enough to support his operation and activated them. Heading over to the cyrstal object, he made sure that it was still intact. Everything, including the frame and all the nutrient tubes, were still in perfect condition. Baeral smiled to himself. This was just the beginning.
Heading back to the computer he inserted a small disk full of vital information. The information was of one man, a man who had actually died some years before. He had been a sith knight, not an extremely powerful one, but a physically and mentally strong man. A perfect candidate for the cloning process. Entering the data into the computer, Baeral sat back and watched as the process began. It would take nearly 20 days for the first clone to grow, at least, that's what his research had told him. And then he'd probably have to correct a few things before he made the first batch. But like everything else, Baeral had plenty of time to spare. The Jedi did not know he was here, and there were no other humans for miles. Sitting back, he relaxed his mind, allowing his body to rest while the force kept him alert. Machines whirred around him as the first clone was born...

The days had begun to slide by so quickly. He had already been there for over a month, and the first batch of clones had been completed. They stood around the sith lord, simply taking him in as he went about his work. It had taken a little while to correct the process, as the small pile of bodies in the corner told anyone who would question that. But the dozen or so clones that were now there with Baeral were perfect. Excellent warriors, they were in supreme shape, both physically and mentally. He'd sent them about the fortress to gather supplies and tools, and now with their help, he was able to produce at least 30 clones per time.
Pouring over the volumes of research and notes he had found in the laboratory, Baeral did everything he could to produce the clones as quickly as possible without sacrificing anything from them. "002." He said aloud as one of the clones approached him. "How's the progress on the armory coming?" The clone stared a moment before responding. 'Master, the facility is nearly complete. We've begun production on weapons and armor." Smiling slightly to himself, Baeral punched a few commands into the computer as the large cloning cylinders slowly hummed in front of him.
With 60 clones done, he'd continue to produce them for another week or so, then take the cylinders to another planet and begin to build more. With the technology in hand, he could produce as many as he wanted. The only problem was, he would need a suitable base, and supplies as well.

With the help of his miniature clone army, Baeral had accumulated a small fleet of ships for his use. Three of them were basically pleasure yachts that had been remodeled with a few light weapons. Two of the other ships were modified TIE fighters, with slightly heavier armor and a few more advanced scanning systems. Five ships, a hearty fleet for such a small-scale army. Over the course of the last few days, the clones had constantly been flying off the planet, collecting supplies from the closest worlds and bringing them back. Baeral had made sure that they wouldn't be caught by any onlookers or nearby ships by having them fly strange routes there and back to the planet.
Sitting in the new cloning chamber, the young sith marveled at the work his new soldiers had done. They'd successfully replicated the half-dozen cloning chambers he'd discovered, and now they had a full thirty running full time. Over the last week or so they'd been churning out a number of clones, and now the fortress was becoming quite a lively place once again. At least, as lively as clones could be. Baeral had lost exact count at the moment, but by his estimates there were a full 300 clones living there with him. Soon he'd take his little operation off the planet and move them closer to the republic, where they could accumulate more supplies, and more importantly, weaponry for his new army..
