I've attempted to create models in the past, but I can't seem to grasp it somehow :(

Plus, MS3D is reasonably low-poly, and the good stuff is usually found to be a 1000-3000 poly build. So yes, i'll look into the 1.7. (Python has never worked for me, is it Vista compatible?)

Well its linux and vista only for the moment, osx is left out due coding issues, but they are fixing it in the next update.
And if you wanto be able to model something, you gotta think 3d, i lined someones head once and took photo's of him xD
just gotta get used to that and you can make everything.
And i dont suggest using metosqua for modeling, maybe for base modeling, but then you need a program like Zbrush or mudbiox to get things smooth etc. If you do it in a more quality program you just change some render settings et voila you dont see edges and ridges. mine modeling skills are for current games on the market, not HD cgi. But i'm still learning.

Pretty darn nice! As I said i'm lumbered with Milkshape 3D 1.8.4 at the moment, basic primitives is all it has to offer, and smoothing is quite difficult, but possible, which is something i'm thankful for as like you said, some people have to rely on other programs to do it.

I had a look at some of your work on Youtube too, I doubt my work will ever meet those standards :)

Well i kinda learned all this myself in full 2 years, with the help of a teacher sometimes ofcourse.
But serieusly, you should try blender sometimes. its open source so that means its free :D
+ you dont have to worry the program gets outdated cous they keep working on it.

Like I said, i've tried Blender, but it wouldn't let me in without the Python Plug In (which failed to load every time) but i'll see if it's been made more Vista compatible..
