I think it'll take me a while to learn the Russian alphabet, but I think I will try and learn it.

But there is some rules of some letters pronouncing such as in english, for example we do not pronounce letters like "ght" in "ought to" so it spells outta, right?
Same in rus in word "Вестник"="Bulletin" we do not pronounce letter T, it is passed, many subtleties.

So "T" isn't pronounced at all? In any word?

No, in exception words, it pronounces in word "Стоять"="Freeze" for example.
