This is no joke. Badminton is the sport most like Smash Bros. Seriously. For those of you who haven't played it, Badminton is a tennis- like sport in which the court and rackets are shortened, and the ball is replaced with an object called a Birdie that resembles an Indian feathered headband. The rules and netting are close to the same, except the birdie can not hit the ground, and the net is higher and not as long. Now, the whole goal of the game is to smash the birdie at the opponent on the other side, or make it impossible for the opponent to rally the birdie on your side. This is easy though, because the birdie rises in the air far and slow and can fly downward quickly when smashed. The racket is what brings my Smash Bros. comparison. You swing forehand, backhand, upward, and downward in an attempt to hit the birdie. Also, jumping and hitting the birdie at your opponents will be the most likely way to win a point, akin to meteor smashing some unlucky fool who is above a pit. Now, we can debate the similarities if any of you feel inclined to do so, so post away!
