Oh come on, all their B moves, with the exception of neutral B, are specially made to be enhanced when both are there, which is entire thing the two stand for. Forward B is bad without both, down B only covers one side, Up B fails completely. The whole point of the two is that sure, both can fend for themselves, but they make one hell of a team with both of them.

Yes...but they're soulless. In the Mario & Luigi series, bosses were much more effective with both bros than just one. However...I can safely say that they had personality. Nana and Popo are supossed to be so close that they'd die for each other and...I just don't see that.

They just seem to be there for the sake of being their, and that they NEED each other in order to come even close to winning, since they can't do it on their own. It's not that they WANT each other at all.

Well, like you're going to be able to represent that in Brawl? See, if they went THAT far, then you can go ahead and say that EVERY character is soulless, excluding the SSE for a second.

Yeah, he had to do that for a lot of characters. These characters might have a personality in their own games, but why the hell do they need one in Smash?
Pretty much all of the characters should be put into the "soulless demons" part.
Examples:

please note: this is satire. I'm making fun of you
Mario: Saves the princess... over and over again. What is his determination? We see that the Princess kisses him in some of the games when he beats Bowser, but it seems more like an award than a sign of affection.

Link: He saves the entire land of Hyrule... and doesn't speak once! We get a few screams, so he isn't a mute... what's wrong with him?? I think it's ridiculous!

Pikachu: The Pokémon have the least amount of purpose in the game! Pikachu doesn't even have a trainer in this game. It's like he just wants to fight.

Captain Falcon: What is his purpose? He's normally a racer, why is he beating people up? Why does he suck so much in Brawl? What did they do with the Melee falcon? He went from high-mid tier to possibly bottom. Maybe it's an imposter! In SSE 2, you'll have to find what they did with the real Captain Falcon!

Peach: Why does she get kidnapped so much? Thinking about this gets me so angry!! Why the hell doesn't she hire good bodyguards, or just stay under Mario's watch?

Bowser: Why does he keep kidnapping Peach? We never get any reason for it? Does he just like causing havoc? If so, why doesn't he just destroy everything?

Ike: Roy IKE was...well, he wasn't really anyone, just product placement for FE6 FE10 in Japan America. If he gets a personality, then sure, let him in. But if he's just a boring character with no emotion, no drive, then I say no.
