I'm leaning towards Wario Land: Shake It being the better game. Loved the Wario Land series as a little guy... What about you guys? What do you think will be the better game? |

Shake It will, undoubtedly, be the better game. However, Sluggers will provide me with more hours of entertainment with the (few) friends I have, so I'd lean toward getting Sluggers for an overall purchase, but Wario's latest adventure will be better, without a doubt. |

I feel the same way. I'll probably end up getting Sluggers before Shake It! |

Here's a review I found of Shake It on somebody's deviant art. (They live in Japan) source "I just beat the last boss, so maybe I should talk about the game a bit more! I'm not gonna spoil anything about the story, so dont worry about that. Playing through the main game is pretty short, if you do nothing but go from the begining to the last boss. It's also a pretty easy game. The game is separated in 5 major areas, each with 4 stages plus one boss. You can also find some hidden stages, but I'm not sure how many, because I've only found one in the first area so far. However, if you're a completionist, this game will keep you occupied for a long time. Each level has 3 treasures to find, and a number of missions to complete (ex, beat the level without taking any damage, collect a certain number of coins, etc). Some of them are actually really hard, but there's always a checkpoint in each level to prevent frustration and preserve your sanity. Still, sometimes it's difficult to even figure out how to complete a mission or where to find a treasure. After you beat it, you even unlock missions for the bosses (the last boss is gonna be a bitch to beat without taking any damage...) As you can guess, I'm far from finished, even though I've beaten the last boss and seen the ending. I think theres also a sixth area to unlock, but I'm not sure how because I didnt have the time to read all the Japanese text. So far, doing the missions never felt like an annoying chore like it does in some games. One last thing, the game is really, really beautiful. By far the best looking game on Wii, and maybe the best looking game I've ever seen on any console. Every time I started a new stage, I was amazed by the attention to detail in every aspect of the backgrounds. There's a lot of variety, and even though it's often the typical stage themes for platform games (ice world, jungle, fire, etc) they're all drawn so well, everything feels fresh and unique. I haven't been so impressed by the visuals of a game in a long, long time. There's no way 3D could ever reach such an awesome visual quality. I recommend buying this game if you plan to complete everything, but if you just want to go through the main game, a rental will give you more than enough time for that. Either way, just play this game." |

So, from what I see, its the best looking of the Wario games, but not the best in general... Hmm? I'll have to think about this. Well thought out review, BTW. |

Seriously I wonder if Nintendo, in making Wario Land: Shake It, has not been ispired by Mischief Makers. Do you remember that Treasure game for Nintendo 64? The japanese version is called Yuke Yuke Troublemakers. Anyway I'm going forward Wario Land even just because it looks like a game of the good old school. |

I'll probably end up with both by the time the Wii's lifespan is over with. As of now, I'm actually not getting any of them thanks to Okami's surprise awesomeness. |
