I don't even consider that a level. It's more like an excuse. "HAY GUYS! Sorry we made SSE so short! We'll put together this last bit for you so that you can have fun playing through the entire game again. Good luck!"

Ugh, great maze.

They could've at least had more bad-guys than ONLY Mario ones and obscure creatures, it seems like they started working on them, then said "Well gee, this'll take a long time, why not stop here and just have the mario/sse badguys?"

Yeah, the enemies should've changed depending on the level. The SSE enemies were mostly annoying. (see: the stick figures and the clouds, and most enemies later in the game)

I liked some of the enemies in SSE (Mites were super nifty, Primids should've gone further, Armtanks were excellent super difficult enemies), most...yeah, pretty much sucked. There were no Legend of Zelda or Wario enemies at all, despite Ganondorf and Wario appearing (and I'm pretty sure Wario enslaves most of his enemies that he doesn't kill, eat, or get away) as major antagonists. The whole thing just kind of had a very fragile concept from the beginning.

Professor Hector could've AT LEAST been added in the Isle of the Ancients to help R.O.B., his beloved creation, escape. Now THAT would have made me give smypathy to the emo bot.

The story, with the exceptions of King Dedede, Weegee, and Snake, overall was extremely weak. Palutena...wtf was she doing, just watching? HOLY JUDGEMENT PLX. There was a lot of things that made no sense. And gameplay-wise...alright, it had a lot of similarities to Kirby Super Star, which I absolutely loved, but still, everything just seemed...really bland.

However, I can't say I like one adventure over the other. One had no purpose (Melee), and one was just pathetic (Brawl). The only reason Melee's was played so often was so I could get Luigi and all of those damn character trophies and that Giga Bowser KO bonus...gah...grrr....hm...

If SSE was sacraficed for, say, ten unique characters (such as K. Rool, Kamek, even Banjo-Kazooie or something like Cranky Kong), improved wi-fi...ugh, it just was a huge waste of time and space. Fun the first time around, agreed, but...just...no after that.

And The Great Maze was when I found it to pick up gameplay and addictiveness-wise. Unfortunately the story ended right after it, and I felt cheated out of an ending. >_>

Don't forget Sonic. He didn't even have a place. They literally just threw him in at the end.

I'd rather have them replace characters than add new ones. No more Wolf, Toon Link, or Pit. Well, Wolf can stay.

Hector would've been INSANE :O

I forgot all about Palutena, lol. YEA, why didn't she help destroy the deathsta... er, gunship!!?

Yea, I agree with pretty much everything you said there, Kamek, but if they were to just cram in moar characters, moar stages, bleh bleh bleh, it'd kinda seem like Melee-ER! SSE was kinda the start of something I'm HOPING will be taken further, but if they can do well with it what they should. In a way, it gave many characters a good background and meaning for the game, but others, (SONIC GRR), were random and left you asking questions. Mostly "wtf?". Yea.

Coulda been better, coulda been taken out and replaced with better things, who knows.

I don't blame the team. I simply blame Sakurai's way of doing things. He knows only how to do things his way, and while that's fine for a specific concept, like Smash Bros's multiplayer and the Kirby games, it just doesn't work for something completely different. No, what was needed for a story for the uniting of all Nintendo's greatest heroes was something only one with an imagination that soars beyond what's already been given could create. Miyamoto, Kojima, Yokoi if he were still around...those spring up instantly. Because they aren't afraid of taking it the next step. I'm afraid that Sakurai is.

My hat's off to the man for giving a good effort, but...I just don't think it'll work out...here's hoping for a newer, tighter Smash Bros.

What? I thought you were saying before that Sakurai won't be missed because of how he messed up brawl... I'm pretty sure it was you, anyway.

Well, he WAS good at it, until he decided to follow the Wii's original intentions of drawing in the casual audience, hence, toning down the competitiveness and upping the luck factor and making it easier to play if you're not good.
