Game Series: Okami

Brief Info on Boss: Yami is the lord of darkness in Okami and essentially an 'evil orb of doom'. It has five different forms (with three present in Smash Bros.), each with its own attacks and ways of being defeated. Yami is known best for its fifth and final form, in which it sprouts a giant hand from itself and engulfs the world in darkness.

In Smash Bros., Yami is one of the final bosses in the game that you could fight against with Team Amaterasu (Amaterasu, Micaiah, Captain Falcon, Kamek, and R.O.B.) in the Ark of Yamato when its on its way to Final Destination.

Attack Method the Boss Uses:

Between full HP and the loss of 200 HP, Yami will be in its first form: a giant black orb with glowing, red markings.

Brown Missile: The weakest of all of Yami's 'Missile' attacks used when it is in its first form, brown missiles only deal 8% damage per missile. Yami unleashes 4 missiles during this attack.

Fire Orb: Yami engulfs itself in flames and speeds throughout the entire stage, dealing 18%-20% damage to anyone in its path. A path of cursed black flames will be left on the ground for 3 seconds, dealing 5% damage to anyone who touches it.

Hammer: Yami takes out a giant hammer from under a latch in its orb, jumps up, and crashes down, unleashing a large shockwave. The shockwave deals 10% damage and the hammer deals 35% damage.

Roll: Yami rolls throughout the perimeter of the stage, dealing 15% damage with a 'grounding' effect.

Between the loss of 201 HP and the loss of 800 HP, Yami will be in its second form: an orb with ominous green glowing marks.

Green Missile: Slightly stronger than the brown missiles, Yami unleashes 4 green missiles that deal 10% damage per.

Laser: Yami unleashes a long, orange laser from a latch in its orb that lasts for 8 seconds, traversing the field. The laser deals 10% damage with every hit.

Platform Smash: Yami has several pieces of itself strung out throughout the stage and smacks them to the ground, one by one, before returning to its normal state. Each piece deals 15% damage and 'grounds' the player for 3-5 seconds. One of the platforms holds Yami's weak spot: a small, transparent blue statue that you can hit to deal double the damage you normally would.

Roll: Same as with the first form, but deals 18% damage instead of 15%.

Between the loss of 801 HP and 1,200 HP (Yami's total HP), Yami will be in its third Smash Bros. form and his final form in Okami: the huge black orb with the even larger hand. Attacking its hand deals double the damage than attacking the orb, as this is where the statue is located now.

Cyclone: Yami moves one of its fingers in a circular pattern, forming a cyclone. The cyclone deals no damage, but instead spits Yami's opponents into the air, assuring a Team Rocket KO. This attack can be easily dodged by jumping over the cyclone or rolling out of the way.

Darkness: Yami twirls its hand about for a moment, and a moment more the stage is engulfed in darkness, making it impossible to see anything. Things can stay like this for up to 10 seconds.

Laser: Same as with the second form, but deals 15% damage instead of 10% and the laser comes from its hand.

Meteor: Yami unleashes a barrage of meteors with a snap of its index finger. Each meteor deals 10% damage.

Red Missiles: The strongest of Yami's missiles, dealing a whopping 17% damage per missile.

Roll: Same as the second form.

Smack: A straightforward attack in which Yami smacks its hand through the air at a swift speed. Deals 15% damage.
