The teacher was walking around, staring at the papers as the scraping of pencily furiously at work could be heard. Other than the pencils, the room was silent. In the room, one student had put down his pencil and stared nervously at a blank answer paper.
For Tre, the midterm testing was the most terrifying experience that he ever went through in his life (not that he ever went through anything very terrifying). He just got so nervous that he forgot what he had learned in class. Tre just couldn't remember what the answers were, and if he did, he would be frozen with the fear of getting the qwestion wrong. He stayed like this until the end of the period, with a blank paper to turn in. Tre put his test in the incomplete pile, and miserably ambled off to the door until the teacher impeded his progress.
"Where do you think you're gonig? That's the third straight day you have turned in an incomplete test! you should be ashamed of yourself! Even Jethro got more questions done than you! Come on! A hillbilly is doing better than you! You used to be such a good student... what a shame..." After being interrogated by his teacher, Tre went down the hall to go to the library to finish his test. Just as he rounded the corner he quickly skidded his bulky mass to a stop
The sports jocks were in the middle of the hall, which was not good for Tre. They didn't like him and Tre always tried to avoid them in fear of getting into a fight, but this time they were at the only way out. Tre slowly walked by hoping that the jocks wouldn't notice him, and he walked right by with no problem. Just as he was at the door and feeling felieved, a sharp blow hit him in the back of the knees and sent him sliding on the ground. "Got ya, stupid!" exclaimed Spence, one of the jocks, who apparently led them. "I don't want anything to do with you! Just go away!" cried Tre, as he picked himself up off the floor. "Not gonna happen! Get him!" ordered Spence.
"This is going to be worse than the midterm..." thought Tre as he got charged at.
