GLaDOS will appear for a moment in the background, before completely disappearing. The background is then replaced with a mechanical white wall as GLaDOS states, "Hello and, again, welcome to the Aperture Science Computer-Aided Enrichment Center. We are now ready to begin testing." At that point, various turrets will appear from the background, while GLaDOS assures, "If you are successful in not losing all of your stocks, there will be cake". With that reassurance, the turrets begin firing lasers at everyone, including the one who summoned GLaDOS. Each laser deals 10% damage with relatively minor knockback. However, these lasers are fired pretty quickly and are very accurate. These turrets will fire lasers for ten to up to sixty seconds. After they outlive their usefulness, GLaDOS will recall them, and reappear over the stage. She will compliment the player, but states that "Now you shall feel the agonizing torment of death...and then you will have cake".
After this point, GLaDOS can torment her foes in a number of ways. These ways can include:
-Releasing a deadly neuro-toxin into the air. This nureo-toxin appears as a green cloud in the background. While this deadly substance is released, all characters on the stage will take 2% damage per second. In addition, the knockback for all attacks will be doubled during this time
-Summoning several portals below the stage. At this point, GLaDOS's eye will fire off portals toward fighters, though these are rather slow and inaccurate. However, anything that touches one of these portals will fall down underneath the stage. GLaDOS can shoot two portals at a time, and each portal lasts for seven seconds.
-summoning four turrets. These turrets are the same as the previous ones, only their knockback is greatly increased.
-summoning a great number of Weighted Storage Cubes. These large items are the size of crates, and burst upon impact with anything. These Storage Cubes appear in random patterns, much like Bob-ombs in Super Sudden Death. Each Storage Cube can deal 20% damage with a large amount of knockback. Occasionally, a Weighted Companion Cube will fall instead of a Storage Cube, which will cause the rain of Storage Cubes to stop. The Companion Cube acts like a Moving Crate, though it deals no damage and only pushes foes away, rather than knocking them away. It is also invincible to all forms of attack. GLaDOS will continue to compliment the cube, calling it invaluable and giving many uses to it. However, eventually, the Companion Cube will break on its own accord, causing GLaDOS to state humorous dialogue about characters 'murdering' the cube. If the cube is thrown off the stage, GLaDOS will add turrets of the stronger variety to this barrage of insults.
-causing a large sea of flames to engulph the bottom of the stage. This does not occur in stages that are completely flat, such as Onnet. Anyone who touches these flames will be "incinerated", and instantly removed of a stock, removing all chance of recovery.
-begin malfunctioning. GLaDOS will begin launching its 'eyes' toward the stage. The eyes act like soccer balls, and deal 16% damage with good knockback if they hit anyone. GLaDOS's eyes are rather accurate and quick, so dodging is difficult. After GLaDOS launches all of its eyes at its foe, it will suddenly collapse along with the background.
After unleashing its attack, GLaDOS will become enraged that the battle is still occuring and will begin to childishly insult all combatants (for example, if Peach is present, "You annoying pink worm. That dress is extremely tacky, you are not attracting any plumbers in that thing. If you love getting kidnapped by Bowser so much, why don't you marry him?" and various other lines). After fifteen seconds of this, GLaDOS will malfunction completely, and the background will collapse on her, as if she malfunctioned on her attacking phase. After this, GLaDOS disappears completely, but not before replacing the background music with "Still Alive".
GLaDOS is a total wildcard. Each of her attacks can last for up to three-hundred seconds, or as little as ten seconds. All of GLaDOS's attacks have the ability to harm the person who summoned GLaDOS.
There is a 10% chance that, when GLaDOS begins singing "still alive", a black forest cake will appear in the center of the stage, and will deal 10% damage when devoured (thus proving that the cake is, in fact, a lie). |
