It should be fun to fight the Prince of Darkness.

One of Vergil's last words before he fought with Mundus, and lost. Vergil did not remember much of what happened to him after he was at the Demon King's mercy, the reason being that he was absorbed into the Macroverse short after his defeat. Just as the outcome of that fight could have change the rest of his life, so did the Macroverse.

After he heard the rumours of a powerful demon being the master of an entire world, he was curious as to how that demon could gain such immense power, the same power that Vergil craved for so long. Vergil was also interested if the demon knew the Legend of Sparda, a famous legend known troughout the Demon World.

Vergil knew that he would be no match for Dracula, considering the effects of the drain and the renowned power of the Count. Vergil only seeks a powerful ally in the vampire. Vergil also realised that this vampire may very well be the same vampire mentioned in legends of his world, but it could also be a coincedence. Maybe.

The Dark Slayer arrived near the castle of the Count, and sensed the evil aura radiating from it. It could be no mistake, this was the home of the powerful vampire Dracula.

The courtyard was silent, a crescent moon barely lighting the grounds, overrun by vine-like vegetation. Despite this, the castle still held a mighty appearance, like a fallen knight serving a dark king. Ancient yet enduring, the castle held a touch of majesty, all while still giving a sense of impending doom to all that beheld it. As Vergil approached the doors, they opened without hesitation...

"Nice atmosphere..." Vergil murmured, not at all impressed by the cliché look the castle has.

Vergil entered the castle silently and without any haste, but the son of Sparda still remained on gaurd just incase this was a trap.

"And who might this one be?" a voice asked.

"Your aura... You are a servant of darkness in its purest form; but that does not excuse your intrusion, I'm not to meet with you for a good while. For what purpose have you come here?"

"I'm here to meet the owner of this castle. I have been told that he is an extremely powerful man, maybe even a demon, and I wanted to meet him.is that too much too ask?" The half-demon explained to Death.

We are the children of time itself, and still my sister manages to be late! Death thought to himself, "Very well; if you wish merely to meet with the lord of the manor, then so be it. Besides, there is little I can do 'til come your fated hour." The skeletal figure gestured up the stairs, "You will find Count Dracula in the throne room; up these stairs, to the left, travel past six wooden doors, and you should see a pair of metal doors. I will send one of the servants to announce you. If you open the doors without being announced, we may meet again sooner than I had anticipated."

With that, Death's gaze turned away from Vergil, towards the courtyard, as though impatiently waiting for something.

The Hell Vanguards and their underlings seemingly worked independant of Death if they could just decide when their victims are sent to Hell... Or this really a different dimension.

"Thank you for the invitation..." Vergil said in a cold tone. "I'm sure not to meet the Count without the proper announcement of my arrival..."

Vergil followed Death's directions and ascended the stairs. Vergil turned to the left at the end of the stairs, Vergil saw the six wooden doors and walked past them. He took note of the architecture of the castle, being it very different from the other demonic building Temen-ni-gru, probably due to the different time periods these buildings were erected and their initial porpuse. Vergil then encounters the metal doors and waits for the servant.

Approximately two minutes pass, and the doors open, a succubus gesturing for Vergil to enter. At the far end of the room, Dracula is seated, naturally, upon his throne. In his hand is a glass full of blood, with a slight bit of wine mixed in. The dark powers around him were nearly unfathomable, perhaps as great as the sword which was one with the remains of Vergil's father... maybe even of Sparda himself. Yet at the same time- Was it even possible? The count's body was clearly mortal... Reanimated, but truly, it was no more than human.

"Come forth," Dracula beckoned, "Surely, you are no slayer, nor do you seem powerful, or foolish, enough to attempt to usurp me. However, I can think of few who would approach me with benevolent intent. To what purpose have you sought me out?"

"Let me introduce myself first; I am Vergil, son of Sparda, one of the few demons who managed to defeat Mundus, the Demon King. Your powers are great, maybe as great as Sparda's. I have been looking to inherite my father's power, but I have failed to do such." Vergil explained. "I needed that power. I now ask of you to help me. Not necessarily the same power as before, but I just need more power."

Dracula chuckled lightly before responding, "Whilst I could certainly make use of this situation, there is a problem; if I were to grant you power, what promise do I have that it will benefit me?"
